ReSharper Demo - Code generation
ReSharper can create a lot of code for you: from new files and classes to conditional blocks and GUIDs; from methods and properties required by an interface being implemented to equality checks and formatting members.
ReSharper Demo - Refactorings and navigation
50+ refactorings and 420+ context actions help safely organize code and move it around the solution, distribute responsibility, decouple, decrease complexity, or simply use alternative language syntax. "Makes coding so much more efficient "
What do you like best about ReSharper?

ReSharper is great at helping and showing devs better more efficient ways of writing code. It can turn multiple lines of if/else statements in to one beautiful line of linq. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ReSharper?

Sometimes it will recommend doing something that’s not helpful but this is not a huge downfall because you can just ignore. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to get used to - Hard to leave it"
What do you like best about ReSharper?

- Shortcuts are awesome. Navigation throgh the code gets really easy.

- I use everyday: go to last modified position, goto next error, find usages. All refactoring shortcuts !.

- Color identifiers let me identify variables from constants, methods, properties, types. I use this feature and I can not live without it.

- Move code by scope is handy.

- Adding missing references automatically Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ReSharper?

- Pricing: tend to be high.

- After awhile it practically kills my Visual Studio. It gets super slow, even for small projects.

- It kind of makes you dependent. It feels uncomfortable when you don't have it, and that makes you unproductive.

- Depending on what version you use, resharper shows errors that doesn't exist. On later versions it works fine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ReSharper?

The integration with Visual Studio is very good but at times the ReSharper utilities and Microsofts utilities vi for control and it can be hard to tell which one you are using Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Our dev teams raves about ReSharper! They love that it forces code standards and can find common bugs automatically. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ReSharper?

Honestly, the only downside is the cost. Even with a multi license subscription discount, ReSharper is quite expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent tool vor developing"
What do you like best about ReSharper?

It has tons of aids and tools for help developers to do their job. Correction, simplifications, intellisense, … and much more are inside this software, It works inside Visual Studio as and plugin. But it is not a common plugin. You will find any tool you need to solve the most tricky problems with LINQ, Classes, Structs., etc. This is a developers IDE inside a very good developers IDE (Visual Studio) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ReSharper?

It is heavy. If you do not have a decent machine, you will be in a sort of a nightmare of sluggishness. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best Visual Studio Extension. I would say, Developer's best friend. "
What do you like best about ReSharper?

Searching the whole solution is very easy. It makes developer's job quite easy with Code completion, Code generation. Code analysis, Code editing helpers etc. You can jump to any file,. It has a powerful unit test runner, it assists in debugging, there are lot of code templates. Sometimes, it is very helpful to use its Architectural feature called 'Project dependency diagram'. It is good to inspect the code issues in the solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ReSharper?

The price should be low so that every developer can afford it. The license process is quite complicated if there are lots of users in the organisation specially the organisations having external consultants. . Trial period is only one month. There should be some price discounts/offers for the large organisations. If you keep you visual studio open for longer time, ReSharper hangs or slows down some times and you have to restart your Visual Studio. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Code analysis and hints on optimising and improving code in both readability and optimisation.

It also makes writing the code a lot faster by using templates and impressive autocomplete & intellisense features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ReSharper?

It can sometimes make Visual Studio go very slow, especially on very large projects or projects that use a lot of old tech like WebForms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
