# How do I make Resharper more performant in Visual Studio 2019?

Every time I load Visual Studio 2019 with the Resharper extension enabled, I get messages saying Visual Studio wants to disable it to improve performance, and that it is causing performance issues within VS. What steps can I take to improve Resharper's performance within VS so I can continue to use it efficiently?

Hello Robert,

Do you actually experience slow downs when this message is shown?
If so we'd be grateful if you could provide a performance snapshot as described in the article- https://resharper-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/articles/207243205-How-to-collect-a-performance-snapshot-and-send-it-to-JetBrains-Team.
Generally, we have the following recommendations describing how to speed up ReSharper + VS - https://www.jetbrains.com/help/resharper/Speeding_Up_ReSharper.html).
