What do users say?

Generated using AI from real user reviews
Users consistently praise the platform for its ease of use and quick deployment capabilities, making it accessible even for those without extensive DevOps experience. The intuitive interface and comprehensive documentation enhance the overall user experience, allowing developers to focus on their projects rather than infrastructure management. However, some users note a desire for more region support and additional features as the platform continues to evolve.

What do you dislike about Render?

I haven't come across anything yet that I dislike but who knows, I might have something once I've used it much longer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Loves it"
5/5
What do you like best about Render?

The UX is very pleasant and intuitive. An environment available for each Git branch is also very nice to have for testing purpose.

Automatic SSL is great too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Render?

Render is a relatively new service compared to other PaaS so you might encounter obscure edge cases sometimes but the support is very quick to answer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"So easy to deploy"
5/5
What do you like best about Render?

I really like that Render had pre-configured environments for building a Flask app. Plus, it has deploy hooks for new pushes to Github. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Render?

You can't run tests before deploying (or at least I can't figure it out). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Render?

If you move a repo, it takes reaching out to support to fix. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Render is a more flexible and cheaper version of Heroku"
5/5
What do you like best about Render?

* Easy to set up

* You can create private services that aren't exposed to the internet

* You can set up Elixir clusters (you can't do this on Heroku)

* Reasonably priced

* Built in cron jobs are more flexible than Heroku's scheduler options Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Render?

Render is still a fairly new service, so it doesn't have as many features as Heroku. Especially around some of Heroku's great Postgres services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The speed and free static deploys, and the documentation Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Render makes infrastructure simple so you can focus on your product"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Render?

Simple to set up, while having enough configuration available (via infrastructure as code) to satisfy our needs. Tonnes of guides for various tools and frameworks. Feedback driven and super helpful support on Slack 💯 Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Render?

Nothing I dislike, just features that I'd love to see added: audit log for teams, mandatory 2FA for teams, restrictions on who has permission to modify / delete the database, and horizontal database scaling (like on RDS with a cluster of read replicas). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to use and affordable alternative to big PaaS offerings"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Render?

Lot's of value for a relatively low price.

Easy to use application.

Supports most common ways to deploy apps and services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Render?

While new features are being added and the offering is also quite solid on its own, Render could have more integrations with other systems.

Some additional metrics would be nice-to-have. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
