"Pricefx Pricing Software Review 2026"
3/5
What do you like best about Pricefx?

My primary complaint is that the new Pricefx format is cumbersome in many ways. With the original format that we used for the first several years beginning in 2019, all the pertinent information on a product was visible at a glance. The format now has multiple tabs for within the Items tab separating out the relevant details, which requires Users to apply more "clicks" to view the same details. This makes reviewing each product price a little more time consuming, which does add up when a quote contains many items (some of ours contain hundreds of items). This is also the case on the Header. In order to see the User that created the quote, you need to click on a separate tab. It may sound petty, but I don't understand why Pricefx felt the need to change the format like this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pricefx?

We see a lot of "one-off" issues that can't be easily explained, even by our internal Pricefx support person. For example, one quote recently pulled an approver into the Workflow that left the company 3 years ago and whose account had been deactivated since then. Sometimes quotes cannot be Submitted, and there is no error message. One User (Approver) has complained that the Field Names change on random quotes that make no sense at all. E.g., instead of Requested Price it might read "Umbrella" or something that clearly makes no sense. We typically need to ignore these one-offs as we can't afford to spend valuable time troubleshooting issues that may not surface again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Transformational Pricing Software with Seamless Integration"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Pricefx?

I really appreciate the intuitive user experience with Pricefx. It excels in quoting and providing real-time prices during customer negotiation, which is fantastic. The software is incredibly intuitive, offering the right analytical data based on past experiences and invoices, aligning perfectly with customer needs. I find the price list generation efficient, and it integrates seamlessly with systems like SAP, Oracle, and Salesforce. The software is SaaS-based and continuously evolving, especially in terms of Gen AI, and offers a proactive analytical view of invoices and discounts. It's also great for keeping the pricing process upstream, dividing the price waterfall for optimization, and aligning with our commercial processes. I also loved that the initial setup was nice and quick. Overall, it's a mature product that checks all the boxes for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pricefx?

I believe the product-based configuration is one area where Pricefx needs to evolve. Especially when building a new-to-the-world solution, it should build up its capabilities and be equally performant. Additionally, we faced challenges with the skill set available in the market. It was a bit challenging to find Pricefx skill sets that can support us, which means we are mostly dependent on one or two specific vendors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Ashley Wakeland of Pricefx

"High flexibility, but slow data processing"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Pricefx?

I appreciate the flexibility of Pricefx and the high degree of customization it allows. Our very specific requirements often cannot be represented through standard functionalities, but Pricefx offers good standard functions that we can adapt to our needs. Rarely do we reach the point where something is not feasible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pricefx?

The performance when calculating with large amounts of data is significantly improvable. Simple filtering in tables with several million entries sometimes takes several minutes. Or manually overwriting a single line in a price list often takes minutes because it triggers some calculations in the background that are not even necessary for the result. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Garth Hoff of Pricefx

Thank you for highlighting the flexibility of the Pricefx platform. Our customers achieve speed and time-to-value by implementing industry best practice, and we also provide maximum flexibility, supporting customer-specific ways of doing business. We love seeing customers adapt our functions to master complex requirements.

We hear your feedback on performance with massive datasets. Speed and agility are critical for your team. Some of the world's largest and most complex pricing organizations use Pricefx to solve for high-performance needs.

Responsiveness during manual overrides can often be dramatically improved by refining your background calculation logic to trigger only when necessary.

Please connect with your Customer Success Manager to streamline these specific workflows. We can provide resources for best practices on managing large-scale data efficiently.

"Speeds Up Pricing Admin, Needs Streamlined Steps"
4/5
What do you like best about Pricefx?

I use Pricefx for pricing administration and analytics. It makes price maintenance faster and helps visualize pricing. I like how it makes collaboration easier, and the approval workflow helps with that. It reduces emails going back and forth and makes it so the approver can view the same thing as the pricing admin. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pricefx?

Sometimes there are too many steps. Also, it's difficult to view LPGs side-by-side. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible system with strong performance and versatile possibilities"
4/5
What do you like best about Pricefx?

The system offers many possibilities and is flexibly configurable. This means creating tables, data sources, and datamarts without IT support. It runs very stably even with almost 200 live price grids. The system is used daily by various departments. The individual design of user groups and independent assignment of user rights is very simple and user-friendly. With self-designed datamarts, one is able to independently create charts and dashboards. Complex pricing logics can be implemented relatively quickly with the help of partners. Additionally, having a test environment (QA) where you can try out a lot is helpful. The ability to reach a support team from Pricefx by creating cases is great, and the tickets are processed quickly. Simple applications are easy to implement. Likewise, data management in the platform manager, as well as the import manager, is helpful in processing large amounts of data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pricefx?

The system is unfortunately not well configurable from the frontend and is rigid in its tabular form. It is somewhat confusing with a limited column supply of 100 columns and simultaneously unclear. In addition to the frontend issue, the Price Analyzer has not developed further since the introduction of the system in 2012, and many improvements are needed (usability, chart color, or chart shapes) etc. Furthermore, it is not user-friendly because you can only upload one image per item, which is a problem with 20,000 items. Here, I would expect that images can be uploaded in bulk without setting up an API endpoint, or that a web link can be uploaded per item via upload. Regarding many accelerators, there is documentation, but unfortunately, it only describes the fields and does not provide a real guide on how to properly apply an accelerator. Example "Export CSV to FTP" etc. There are many more examples and issues that are sometimes demotivating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Ashley Wakeland of Pricefx

Thank you for your detailed review and for sharing how you’re using Pricefx across departments. We’re thrilled to hear you value the flexibility of tables, data sources, and datamarts. Also appreciate the positive feedback on the reliability of your nearly 200 live price grids, intuitive role and rights configuration, and your positive experience with our support and data management tools. These are exactly the kinds of enterprise-scale, self-service benefits we aim to deliver.

We appreciate your feedback regarding frontend configurability, Analyzer usability, column limits, image uploads, and accelerator documentation. Many of these areas have evolved significantly in recent releases:

•Modernized Analytics with refreshed charting, color palettes, and dynamic self-service dashboards.

•Expanded Price Setting flexibility, now supporting over 100 columns along with new UI refinements and attribute extensions.

•Enhanced bulk data and file management through Import Manager, integration templates, and expanded nocode/lowcode options.

•New accelerator guides and wizards, including scenarios like CSVtoFTP exports, to simplify setup and deployment.

We’d love to connect with you to review your current version, align on the latest capabilities, and help you take full advantage of these enhancements. Please reach out to your Pricefx Customer Success Manager or open a support case - our team will gladly ensure your environment is fully optimized.
