"Powerful Microsoft 365 Intranet, But Setup and Content Governance Take Work"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Powell Intranet?

What I like best about Powell Intranet is how it improves internal communication and collaboration while still integrating naturally within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. Since our teams were already heavily using SharePoint and Microsoft Teams, the platform felt like an extension of tools employees were already familiar with rather than a completely separate intranet solution.

One of the biggest advantages for us has been the ability to centralize company news, resources, documents, and collaboration spaces into a more organized and user-friendly experience. Before implementation, information was spread across multiple portals and folders, making it difficult for employees to find updates quickly.

We also appreciated the customization and personalization features. Different departments and regional teams can access content that is more relevant to their roles, which improved engagement and reduced information overload.

Overall, the platform helped improve internal communication, employee engagement, and content accessibility while fitting smoothly into our existing Microsoft-based environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Powell Intranet?

One of the main challenges with Powell Intranet is that the initial setup and customization process can become fairly complex, especially for organizations with large structures, multiple departments, or highly specific branding and communication requirements.

While the platform offers strong flexibility and integration with Microsoft 365, configuring layouts, permissions, navigation structures, and content governance required more planning and administrative effort than we initially expected.

Another area that could improve is the learning curve for content administrators. Non-technical teams sometimes needed additional guidance when managing pages, updating content, or handling advanced customization options within the platform.

We also noticed that maintaining content consistency across different departments required ongoing governance. Without strong internal ownership, content can become outdated fairly quickly in larger intranet environments.

That said, once the structure and governance processes were fully established, the platform became much more effective for internal communication and collaboration. Most of the challenges we encountered were related more to implementation and long-term content management rather than the core functionality itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powell Intranet Elevates Microsoft 365 with Seamless Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about Powell Intranet?

Powell Intranet has been a strong addition to our Microsoft 365 environment, particularly in how it enhances SharePoint into a more intuitive and engaging digital workplace.

From an integration perspective, the platform works seamlessly with Microsoft 365 tools including SharePoint and Teams, allowing us to bring communication, documents and resources into a single, centralised hub rather than relying on multiple disconnected systems.

In terms of performance, the user experience is noticeably more efficient. Navigation is simplified, content is easier to find, and the reduction in time spent searching for information has had a positive impact on day to day productivity

Looking at pricing and ROI, Powell delivers strong value by maximising existing Microsoft 365 investments. Instead of building a custom intranet from scratch, the pre built templates and faster deployment help reduce development time while improving adoption and engagement across the business.

The support and onboarding experience is also well structured, with ready to use templates and a user friendly interface that makes implementation more straightforward for both technical and non technical teams.

Finally, the inclusion of AI and intelligent features supports better knowledge management and faster access to relevant information, helping users make more informed decisions and interact with content in a more personalised way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Powell Intranet?

Overall, while Powell Intranet is a powerful and flexible solution, organisations should be prepared for some initial setup complexity, ongoing reliance on Microsoft 365, and a need for structured onboarding to fully realise its benefits. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Powell Intranet?

What we appreciate most about Powell is its ability to centralize information and tools in a single, simple, and ergonomic platform. As part of the PEPS project, born from the merger of several associations, Powell allowed us to create a common collaborative space to bring together collaborators around a shared work environment. Thanks to ready-to-use web parts, page templates, and the automation of certain components, we were able to quickly structure a clear and easy-to-maintain intranet, with more than 50 dedicated pages to organize information and simplify team contributions. What do you like best about Powell Intranet?

The flexibility of the tool is immense. We were able to fit our requirements quite nicely, resulting in an overall good UI without affecting performance. The integrations with our Microsoft platform worked well, too. Support has also been commendable over the last two years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Perfect ergonomics!"

What do you like best about Powell Intranet?

A powerful and very user-friendly tool in terms of ergonomics. There are many possibilities, especially with the number of web parts. The final result is very user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Powell Intranet?

I work with a service provider who manages the technical interface for Powell Manager, so I can’t really comment on that side of it. From what I’ve seen, though, it does seem a bit technical. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powell centralizes and personalizes information with seamless integration to Microsoft 365 and Teams"
4/5
What do you like best about Powell Intranet?

Content personalization: each employee can see information tailored to their role, team, or location, which reduces information overload. Resource centralization: news, documents, business applications, and collaborative spaces are grouped into a single entry point. This avoids navigating between multiple portals or folders. Native integration with Microsoft 365 and Teams: for organizations already equipped with Microsoft, adoption is generally simpler because the environment remains familiar to users. Employee experience: Powell places a strong emphasis on engagement, internal communication, onboarding, and social interactions, rather than solely on document management. AI features and advanced search capabilities that facilitate access to information and knowledge management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Powell Intranet?

The complexity of implementation: even if the solution is flexible, the initial setup (navigation, permissions, document governance, customization) may require more effort and resources than expected, especially in large organizations.

The learning curve for administrators: non-technical business teams may need support to manage content, pages, and some advanced customization options.

Content governance: without clear processes and identified content owners, information can quickly become outdated or inconsistent across different departments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A successful intranet launch that truly engages employees"
5/5
What do you like best about Powell Intranet?

With Powell Intranet, we were able to launch the new intranet intended for more than 6,000 employees spread across various work environments (offices, airport terminals, and field teams). One of the major strengths of the solution is its ability to offer a simple and accessible experience, notably thanks to a fully responsive portal that can be accessed directly from professional phones.

We also greatly appreciated the solution's ability to support a true adoption strategy. For the launch, we combined several formats: teaser videos, explanatory motion design, emailing, on-site displays, tutorials, and an exchange community. The gamification feature integrated into Powell also encouraged employees to explore the intranet and complete their profiles.

Result: quick adoption and very positive feedback from the first weeks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powell enhances SharePoint with governance and deployment that save time"
4/5
What do you like best about Powell Intranet?

Powell offers a significantly improved experience compared to a "simple" use of SharePoint, both for contributors and end users. Their deployment tool truly saves time and helps to easily maintain consistency between different sites. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Powell Intranet?

On the user side, response times could be improved. Furthermore, minor regressions sometimes occur during deployments; this is a phase that still needs to be optimized. It is also sometimes complicated to keep things simple in the Powell Manager tool, which allows managing all deployed components. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Communication, Seamless Microsoft 365 Integration"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Powell Intranet?

I like how Powell Intranet helps with communication among employees and facilitates collaborative efforts. It has been beneficial in reducing the time spent finding information like procedures and policies, as it's all available on a single dashboard. The integration with Microsoft 365 is smooth, allowing me to access intranet inside Teams, share documents via SharePoint/OneDrive, and sync calendars, emails, and tasks, creating a unified employee experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Powell Intranet?

Apart from customization being expensive, there are no issues that I've come across. It requires training and is not beginner friendly. Moreover, setup and implementation can be difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
