It is not about dislikes. However, sometimes I feel that many of us who are working with the platform are not data experts or data engineers; we are mainly compliance professionals using the tool to support our activities.

Because of this, I think it would be beneficial if more workflows and guidance were designed with the end users in mind, considering that many users may not have a technical data background. The platform could be made more intuitive and easier to follow for business users, rather than being primarily designed from a data engineering perspective.

I’ve been working with osapiens and their software for almost two years now, and overall, my experience has been very positive. During onboarding, you are left to your own devices when it comes to the tasks discussed. This is unusual because it makes it more difficult to get started. Of course, you can ask questions at any time. The idea behind this is to get to grips with the topic and the software – but ultimately it has achieved its purpose and you learn to understnad the process. It is an allround solution featuring various regulatory topics. I find it very useful that it also includes a supplier and customer portal, which facilitates sharing information in the supply chain. At first, I found the software UI not quite intuitive but with the help of the handbook I got to know the features and know where I can find more information where needed. I like osapiens in generell. However, some minor things that could be improved are the handbook, which is not very uptodate, the time series in satelite analysis and that functions are described as AI, where in my opinion not very strong AI features are. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I used osapiens mainly for the EUDR modules. Overall, I found the product quite easy to use, and it helps simplify supplier management significantly.

What I appreciated most is that the platform is essentially ready to use from the start and automates risk calculations for suppliers, including public information about the countries where the provided land plots are located. At the same time, its modular setup and automated workflows reduce a lot of manual work. Despite the ability to customize questionnaires (especially the weights and modalities used for risk calculations) it wasn’t entirely straightforward to understand how to set up those customizations correctly. In addition, many of the platform screenshots in the help center are in German; having them in English would make the experience much better for non-German speakers. I love how clear and easy to learn osapiens is. A lot of things can be managed manually, and everything works very well. I also really like the people working at osapiens, especially the Project and Business As Usual (BAU) teams. In our scenario, we have facilities (factories) outside of EU, whenever they need to produce Tobacco products for EU EM, we need different sets of EOID/FID/MID for each of them most of the time. It means, I need to create multiple virtual organizations with the same sets of data, but different EOID/FID/MID. It could be done in different way, under one organization. I greatly appreciate osapiens, as the setup was intuitive and mostly self-explanatory, which significantly facilitated the implementation process. I find the automatic execution of the supplier risk analysis particularly helpful, as it aligns with the requirements of the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG). This feature allows us to efficiently utilize preventive and remedial measures, as they are provided like pre-made modules that only need to be customized. This saves a lot of time and resources and ensures that the process runs smoothly.
