Optellum's Virtual Nodule Clinic Reviews & Product Details

Optellum's Virtual Nodule Clinic (VNC) is an AI-powered clinical decision support software designed to assist medical professionals in the early detection and management of lung cancer. By analyzing CT scans, VNC identifies and tracks pulmonary nodules, providing a Lung Cancer Prediction (LCP) score that estimates the malignancy risk of detected nodules. This tool aims to enhance diagnostic accuracy, streamline patient management workflows, and ultimately improve patient outcomes by facilitating earlier intervention. Key Features and Functionality: - Patient Discovery AI: Automated detection of lung nodules in radiology reports across hospital systems, enabling efficient identification and tracking of at-risk patients. - Workflow Management Dashboards: Provides tools for triage and tracking, supporting clinicians in managing patient care pathways effectively. - Lung Cancer Prediction AI: Utilizes CT imaging and radiomics to generate a cancer risk score, validated against standard-of-care models, aiding in clinical decision-making. - Regulatory Approvals: VNC is FDA 510(k) cleared, CE-MDR certified, and UKCA approved, ensuring compliance with international medical device standards. - Reimbursement: Recognized with a CPT® code (0721T) for AI-based lung nodule risk assessment, facilitating Medicare reimbursement in the United States. Primary Value and Problem Solved: The Virtual Nodule Clinic addresses the critical challenge of early lung cancer detection. Lung cancer often remains asymptomatic until advanced stages, leading to poor survival rates. By providing an AI-driven solution that identifies and assesses pulmonary nodules, VNC enables clinicians to detect potential malignancies earlier, improving the chances of successful treatment. Additionally, the platform enhances workflow efficiency, reduces the likelihood of missed diagnoses, and supports healthcare providers in delivering timely and accurate care to patients.
