"User-Friendly and Ideal for PHP Development"
4/5
What do you like best about Notepad++?

I use Notepad++ for writing my PHP code, and it really helps me find syntax errors, like missing brackets, by providing proper indications and keyword highlights. One feature I particularly like is being able to paste any code into a file, select the language, and have it automatically format the code properly. I also appreciate that it saves files even if my PC shuts down unexpectedly. The installation is very easy and user-friendly, making it accessible even to beginners. What do you dislike about Notepad++?

I don't like the limited integration options, like not being able to integrate a Gmail account to access docs. Also, I wish Notepad++ offered more themes similar to what I'm used to in Visual Studio Code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a QA Engineer, I love how lightweight and fast Notepad ++ is. it opens large log files quickly, supports multiple programming language, and the syntax highlighting makes debugging and review code much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notepad++?

what I dislikes about notepad++ is that the user interface feels outdated, and it can be a bit overwhelming for beginners due to the many hidden features. it lacks built -in integration with modern QA or development tool, and there's no official customer support if you run into issues. "Lightweight, Fast, and Feature-Rich: Notepad++ Boosts Everyday Coding Productivity"
5/5
What do you like best about Notepad++?

Notepad++ is an extremely lightweight, fast, and reliable text and code editor that is ideal for everyday use. One of its strongest advantages is ease of use—the interface is simple, intuitive, and easy to navigate, allowing users to start working productively with almost no learning curve.

The ease of implementation is excellent. Installation is quick, straightforward, and requires minimal configuration. It can be set up and ready to use within minutes, even on systems with limited resources.

Notepad++ offers a strong set of features for its size, including syntax highlighting for multiple languages, tabbed editing, macro recording, advanced search and replace, and a wide range of plugins. The plugin ecosystem also makes integration easy, allowing users to extend functionality or integrate it into their existing development and scripting workflows without complexity.

In terms of frequency of use, Notepad++ is a tool I use every day for editing code, configuration files, logs, and scripts. Its speed and responsiveness make it ideal for frequent, repetitive tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Notepad++?

Notepad++ is very capable, but its user interface can feel dated compared with more modern editors. Some of the more advanced features are tucked away in menus, which can make them harder for new users to discover.

When it comes to customer support, there isn’t an official, dedicated support channel. Help is largely community-driven through forums and documentation. The community is active and often helpful, but organizations that need formal or enterprise-level support may find this a limitation.

For ease of integration, plugins add useful flexibility, yet Notepad++ doesn’t provide deep, native integrations with today’s cloud-based development tools or CI/CD platforms. Most integration work is manual, so it tends to fit lightweight workflows better than large enterprise ecosystems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
