"Cloud XD Delivers Unmatched Granular Visibility and Policy Control"
5/5
What do you like best about Netskope One Platform?

Netskope's key differentiator is its "Cloud XD" engine. While traditional security gateways might just see that a user visited Google Drive or Box, Netskope sees the exact action—such as differentiating between a user logging into a corporate Box account versus a personal one, or downloading a specific file type—and allows administrators to set highly granular policies based on those actions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Netskope One Platform?

Because the platform offers such deep, granular visibility and policy control, it is notoriously complex to set up. Security teams without prior SASE experience often face a steep learning curve and require significant time to properly configure initial deployment policies without breaking critical business workflows. "Comprehensive Cloud Security with Strong Visibility, but Complex Setup"
2.5/5
What do you like best about Netskope One Platform?

What I like best about the Netskope One Platform is its ability to unify security across cloud, web, and private applications in a single, integrated solution. Instead of managing multiple disconnected tools, it provides a consolidated approach to Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), combining data protection, threat prevention, and zero trust access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Netskope One Platform?

One of the main drawbacks of the Netskope One Platform is its complexity during initial setup and configuration. Because it’s a very comprehensive solution, onboarding and fine-tuning policies can require significant time and expertise, especially for teams without prior SASE experience. "Simplified Access to Our Infrastructure with Consistent Security Policies for Remote and Office User"
4/5
What do you like best about Netskope One Platform?

Our organization manages several internal applications and servers that employees need to access securely, both from the office and from remote locations. Before implementing Netskope One Platform, it was becoming increasingly difficult to maintain secure remote access while also enforcing consistent security policies for all users. With Netskope One, we can provide secure access to internal resources without exposing them to the public internet. Its Zero Trust approach ensures users can only reach the applications they’re authorized to use, and features like SWG, CASB, and DLP help protect sensitive company data. The centralized management console also gives our security team clear visibility into user activity and makes policy management much simpler. Overall, Netskope One has strengthened our security posture and made remote access more reliable and easier to manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Netskope One Platform?

Netskope One Platform provides a broad set of security capabilities, but the initial deployment and policy setup can be time-consuming, particularly for organizations with complex environments and multiple security needs. Since the platform includes so many features, new administrators may encounter a learning curve before they feel confident creating policies and troubleshooting issues. In some situations, detailed reporting and log searches can also seem slower when handling large volumes of data. I’d like to see more built-in templates and guided configuration options to make onboarding and day-to-day administration simpler. Overall, these are manageable challenges and are outweighed by the platform’s security strengths. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Strong Cloud and Web Protection"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Netskope One Platform?

The best aspect of the Netskope One Platform is its unified approach to security. Bringing CASB, Secure Web Gateway, DLP, and Zero Trust capabilities together in a single platform makes administration simpler and improves visibility across the environment. It also offers granular policy controls and detailed troubleshooting information, while providing strong protection for cloud and web traffic without noticeably impacting the user experience. Netskope One Platform is not the least expensive solution on the market, but the breadth of functionality and level of visibility it provides make it a worthwhile investment. The consolidation of several security functions into a single platform helps offset costs associated with managing multiple vendors and tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Netskope One Platform?

Some troubleshooting tasks could be made simpler, and a few of the reports could benefit from more customization options to better fit different needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust Security With Netskope One Platform"
5/5
What do you like best about Netskope One Platform?

I really like the unified cloud-native console for the next-gen secure web gateway, which provides deep visibility into web, cloud, and private application traffic. This feature allows efficient operations without the high latency overhead common to legacy VPN or hardware web proxies. The real-time policy enforcement is fantastic, allowing administrators to manage risk down to specific user actions rather than just blocking domains. It's pretty significant that the platform allows the creation of policies to control file downloads and restrict uploads, thus protecting sensitive information. The onboarding process, while structured and requiring careful planning, benefits from a simple deployment via MDM or GPU, making it quite straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Netskope One Platform?

The primary area of improvement for me is the policy engine complexity and initial troubleshooting. Managing the complex rule chain exception and reject patterns for DLP across multiple steering configurations can become overwhelming. Diagnosing why a specific rule blocked or allowed traffic is challenging. The onboarding process requires careful planning, and while deploying the Netskope client is straightforward, the policy design phase demands significant preparation. "The Netskope One Reality Check - Heavy Hitting Security with a Heavy Lift"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Netskope One Platform?

True Platform Consolidation: It genuinely brings Secure Web Gateway, CASB, Zero Trust Network Access, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and Firewall-as-a-Service together under a single management console with one endpoint agent. If your aim is to cut down on vendor sprawl, it accomplishes that efficiently without adding unnecessary complexity. Security tools that slow user connectivity almost always end up frustrating employees, so performance matters. Netskope runs on its NewEdge backbone and commits to a 50ms round-trip SLA for TLS inspection. In day-to-day use, most users don’t notice the security layer weighing down normal internet browsing or access to applications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Netskope One Platform?

This is definitely not a plug-and-play tool. Because the configuration options go so deep, getting DLP policies, CASB coverage, and zero-trust rules tuned to a truly production-ready level can take months. In practice, teams often need dedicated Secure Service Edge (SSE) engineers or paid professional services just to get everything running smoothly and consistently.

Netskope is also expensive, and it’s clearly built for complex, multi-cloud enterprises. If a mid-sized company only needs basic web filtering and straightforward data protection, they may end up paying a steep premium for advanced capabilities they’re unlikely to ever use. "Comprehensive Cloud Security with a Unified Platform"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Netskope One Platform?

I like its unified approach to security and networking. It gives comprehensive visibility into users, devices, and cloud applications, while also enforcing consistent security policies across the web, SaaS, private applications, and data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Netskope One Platform?

One area that could be improved is the initial setup and policy configuration. Because the platform has such an extensive feature set, these steps can feel complex and a bit overwhelming for new administrators. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

UI/UX

Initial setup is complex and requires expertise. UI is being rebuilt but not there yet. Once live, workable but not intuitive.

Integrations

Strong native API integration with leading vendors. 30+ partner connectors. Some integration clarity gaps with CrowdStrike and others—unclear what data flows where.

Performance

Solid latency and connectivity, stable endpoint agent. Won't slow down your network or users.

Pricing / ROI

Significantly higher than Zscaler. Only makes sense if replacing 3+ tools. Consolidation saves money operationally, not upfront.

Support / Onboarding

Professional services handles activation; support P1 response under 2 hours. Onboarding is demanding but well-managed once engaged.

AI / Intelligence

Advanced UEBA with ML models for automated C2 beacon detection. Continuous behavior monitoring for anomaly detection and AI tool misuse. Strong generative AI monitoring. Real differentiator—competitors lag here. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Netskope One Platform?

What Doesn't Work:

UI/UX Mess

The interface feels clunky and dated. Setup requires serious expertise—not built for mid-market IT teams. You'll spend weeks getting it right. Multiple portals to manage different functions kills efficiency. Even after deployment, policy configuration is tedious.

Pricing is Aggressive

Cost is substantially higher than competitors like Zscaler for similar functionality. You're paying a premium without clear justification unless you're consolidating many tools. Budget conversations get difficult.

Integration Ambiguity

While integrations exist, they're unclear. CrowdStrike integration? Nobody really knows what telemetry actually flows. Data enrichment between tools is murky. You end up guessing whether it's working.

Onboarding Friction

Initial configuration is brutal. Requires dedicated resources and Netskope's professional services. Takes months to get to production-ready, not weeks. Your team will burn cycles on setup instead of security.

Support Inconsistency

Premium tiers are expensive. Basic support (5 business days) is too slow for real incidents. TAC (Technical Account Coordinator) quality varies—sometimes great, sometimes you loop in your account manager just to get traction.

Limited for Smaller Orgs

This is enterprise-grade. If you're under 500 users, the overhead and cost don't justify the benefits. Overkill and expensive for your use case.

AI Features Still Maturing

UEBA is good but not exceptional. Generative AI monitoring is new—real-world effectiveness still unproven. You're partly beta testing their latest features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I can interact safely with AI agents without worrying about compromising confidential organization data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Netskope One Platform?
