API integration for more cloud-based Saas applications. right now the count was 18. waiting for the next-gen Saas application support to Kick in 2. The feature of creating a Local OU/group is required. it was missing 3. Their support is responsive, quick, and knowledgeable. With Netskope, we can define very granular policies for zero-trust access. It is easy to hide the Netskope client from users and make the service transparent. Collecting logs for troubleshooting is also super easy. **What do you dislike about Netskope One Platform?** Netskope has experienced bugs and glitches when a new operating system update is rolled out. Quite recently with the macOS Big Sur upgrade and the M1 chip devices, we've had quite a few issues. Their development team is working hard to catch up and make the tool compatible with these updates. Although collecting logs is easy, only the Netskope team can review and investigate the log bundle as it requires special tooling. It has a modern design with cool, fresh colors. I like how it bring a new design to network and endpoint traffic management. When disabled, it not only has a classic black and white look, but it also works much better. All that to say, we do not like it. **What do you dislike about Netskope One Platform?** Where to start... Netskope is entirely too difficult to manage. The level of granularity is seemingly too deep. For example, instead of whitelisting a domain, you have to white list specific pages. The overall performance is terribly slow. We understand that traffic must be proxied in order for the tool to work properly. However, there should be more servers/faster servers to handle the amount of traffic, and the frequency. There are also lots of loopholes. With the decent user interface and simple panels, we can determine which applications and websites users access. We can easily find out if a user has accessed a malicious site or downloaded an unapproved application. With this information, we verify the records using other tools and we know if it was a single event or a regular one. Over the years they have added new capabilities. The original service provided an inventory of cloud applications that our internal people accessed as well as statistics and risk ratings and configuration guidance to block access. And what I mean by this is that we are using a lot of cloud-based platforms and each of them has a different security environment with different capabilities in it. It was very difficult to form the team on each of the platforms. They do not understand the APIs and they were programmed to "allow" or "block". The DLP rule and policy creation is easy to understand and use. We used professional services to get us started, but very quickly we were creating our own policies and tuning existing ones. Their DLP features in particular are robust and easy to use. **What problems is Netskope One Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are able to see what cloud services are being used with more clarity than with our proxies. More importantly, we can identify that we are using many cloud services in which we were not aware that they were even cloud services, especially collaboration services. The cloud risk registry has been great for getting a quicker and clearer understanding of the risk of proposed services that we are looking at allowing. I also love the flexibility that Netskope provides. I can choose the level of interaction I have with my employees (allow, context immersion action, acceleration, blocking). As I like to say, we give our employees bowling alleys. Netskope understands the ecosystem attached to each application sanctioned (and not authorized). This allows us to intervene better when an employee is using a specific application. Netskope has become very popular as a forensic investigation tool; giving us an idea of what is stored where and by whom. **What do you dislike about Netskope One Platform?** Netskope is at the mercy of cloud service providers and how they code their applications. For example, if Google changes an application, that can potential break Netskope's ability to inspect traffic to Google and how rules are applied. That however, is an issue inherent to all CASB providers and not just Netskope: there is always the need to react and reconfigure if a cloud service provider changes their web application. To Netskope's credit: for the few times we've seen this happen they've been good about addressing it quickly. **Recommendations to others considering Netskope One Platform:** Ease of implementation. The GUI is easy to navigate through. Out of the box DLP policies. The overall metrics that Netskope provides feeds into my overall cybersecurity program. **What problems is Netskope One Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?** Just with the agent deployment alone we improved our auditing, reporting, and analysis of cloud service providers (CSP) and access to the CSP risk ratings helped us with our cloud security review process. This deployment helped us to implement more nuanced access policies for CSPs. For example: allow access to corporate o365 realm, but block a user if they try to access a personal o365 account. That helped us to meet security requirements for our o365 deployment project. ### 28. The filtering and actions you can take on this granular information are highly customisable and effective in any environment. **What do you dislike about Netskope One Platform?** The only thing i disliked while using the platform was the MDM phone option for forward proxy was a VPN connection you had to turn on all the time for your users to use the SaaS services from their devices.
