It includes several different question types to check for understanding and results can be posted live for the audience. Many presentations are available in the bank with a paid membership. Other users that I have worked with have found that some of the interactive componenets, such as the games, often lag, which can create frustrations for those participating. As an educator, Nearpod is my favorite tool for whole group and small group instruction. I control student screens, and All students are required to participate, not just the same volunteers over and over again. It had a variety of tools and options for increased engagement. I love that the program can be used in a variety of ways, so it works for both whole group instruction or independent work. It is also very interactive and is a great way to use technology that is beneficial to students. My main complaint about this software is that you definitely need an introduction by somebody who has used it before to be aware of all of the options you have and how to best make it work in your classroom.
