"Microsoft Defender should be your first line of defence for cloud apps"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps?

Comprehensive threat protection covers all your resources and environments, hybrid models. Easy to respond to and mitigate. The control selection is based on different security frameworks, ISO 27001, NISTetc. Can customise and add the regulatory standards and compliance part - the most essential from the audit and security perspective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps?

Can't say, I found the Microsoft Defender interesting from the usability and coverage perspective. We always have different controls to address the other areas; remember, Defence In Depth. So, no issues with the coverage as it's making it robust. Usability is good.

Not sure how it's generating the score; if Microsoft offers some CVSS integration for scoring purposes, that would be awesome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"MDCA helps to monitor and to restrict usage of cloud apps in the organization."
3.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps?

MDCA helps to detect atypical and undesired activities occurring in cloud apps within the Azure AD / Microsoft 365 ecosystem. For example, malware uploaded into SharePoint / Teams / OneDrive, or bulk deletion activities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps?

The CASB functionality, e.g. to intercept the user session in SharePoint / Teams and to restrict the user activities by blocking file downloads on untrusted devices or by applying sensitivity labels on downloaded files, has a huge user impact and really slows down the performance of SharePoint / Teams.
