Most useful features to me are the excel shortcuts. Love the ability to customize the formatting shortcuts and the productivity shortcuts do save quite a lot of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Quite often, the excel shortcuts will disrupt my ability to undo - for example the undo button will only undo the formatting, but will not undo my most recent text or formula inputs.

It's also a bit disappointing that having paid for a solo membership, I find myself having to wait up to 30 seconds to use a significant proportion of the features. I understand you have a tiered subscription business model, but as an individual user who is already paying a lot of money for the solo membership, the wait time doesn't entice me to upgrade. It's just way to expensive. It does however make me question whether or not I want to pay so much money for a product that makes me feel like I haven't paid. - Easy to use, native to Excel and other MS Office tools, configurable shortcuts

- Good documentation, helpful website with templates, etc.

- Learning curve can be a bit high (but this is more of a user effort factor than a Macabacus design factor)

- PowerPoint features for brand, etc. take a fair deal of setup time

I have been using Macabacus non-stop since 2008 and I wouldn't be where I am today in my career without it. I have tried other competitor products over the years, but none have come remotely close to the functionality and useability that Macabaus provides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Macabacus provides a seamless integration with the MS Office suite, in particular Excel, and facilitating a number of (investment banking/finance) related frequently used tools. Especially the formula auditing function and range of automated formula cleanup/editing options, as well as ability to customize formatting (shortcuts) are significant time saving components. The update process can be a bit more seamless, with the plug-in at times disabling/disappearing from the toolbar in the MS office suite and/or the update having to be installed separately through the downloads folder vs. in-app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The most helpful function is the pro dependent and precendent tracing. As well as the imporved watch window. With these tools tou can quickly and accurately trace numbers in any model to figure out how it works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are many functions and it would be great if you share some details on how best to use them. Maybe demos emenedded in the add on? Not sure how you can donit but I am sure I am onlyu using n samll portion of what the tool can do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The macros are extremely helpful to quickly format my Excel sheets, which allows me to produce high quality analysis that is easy to understand. Perhaps more importantly, the auditing / tracing feature, makes checking an Excel workbook extremely easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I wish Macabacus had more tutorials. The tool is extremely powerful and has a number of capabilities that I didn't even know existed. If Macabacus would take the time to create a library of training videos, it would be very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I likely haven't leveraged the full scope of the tool but that's not necessarily a knock on Macabacus Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The features I use are advanced formula tracing, linking between Excel and Word/PPT, formatting, and formula manipulation such as error wrap. All of them generally work very well and have become a part of daily life pretty quickly as they save lots of time. The biggest advantage to using Macabacus over writing your own macros is the ability to undo most of Macabacus' changes whereas standard macros will cancel out the undo feature in Excel. This is literally my only tool that I use for Excel modeling. I don't use anything else and it is a critical tool for for me to be able to perform at my job. Hands down would recommend to any other financial professional. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
