"LabVIEW become the de facto standard for engineering system development there established its niche."
5/5
What do you like best about LabVIEW?

In my opinion, graphical programming and the G language should become an evolutionary continuation of text-based programming. All the prerequisites for this are in place, and the advancement of LabVIEW is progressing (though not as quickly as one might hope). On the other hand, perhaps that's for the best, as there is less competition. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LabVIEW?

1.This is its cost.

2. Integration limitations in Linux for both the IDE itself and the software products created within it.

3.The cost of NI hardware systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"LabVIEW Powerful Graphical Programming"
4.5/5
What do you like best about LabVIEW?

LabVIEW is a graphical programming tool with a lot of toolboxes. You need not to cram the syntax for using LabVIEW like in C or C++ etc. LabVIEW will automatically run independent codes in parallel. It is easy to sync Labview with NI hardware and can be used for many applications including IoT, GNSS, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LabVIEW?

LabVIEW is very expensive and is not backward compatible.

That is a program called virtual instrument developed in version 2017 will not run in 2018 or any higher version.

It is not compatible in non NI hardware in most of the cases and NI hardware are very costly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about LabVIEW?

It has a lot of options for integration of different components and it supports also some scripting languages and it has good mathmatical tools and control tools Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LabVIEW?

The code that is written there is a spaghetti code, really not organized. Also it doesn't have any graphical inerented simulation tool Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great software for test and measurement - and more"
5/5
What do you like best about LabVIEW?

With Labview, it is possible to develop software for test and measurement on the fast track. Labview provides common visualization elements and functions for measurement data (such as strip chart recorders), which must be reinvented in other languages. LabVIEW is a graphical programming language. Instead of typing code lines, programming is done by drawing the code, with functions blocks, interconnected. Debugging is possible by literally watching values running in the wires. Though LabVIEW is best for the development of test, measurement and data evaluation software, it is possible to develop software forany purpose. There is a huge community of labview programmer and forums for trouble shooting and example codes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LabVIEW?

The deployed executables are relatively big in size (nowadays, no real problem). You cannot simply copy the executable file on a computer, it is required to create a complete installer package that installs the runtime engine of LabVIEW too. The runtime engine is free of cost but also rather big in size. So even small tools may result in huge installer packages, which can take many minutes to install (at the first time).

Also, when it comes to max performance (in terms of execution speed and data throughput), Labview has its limitations. (especially for graphical display) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"LabVIEW allows for quick Test Development"
5/5
What do you like best about LabVIEW?

Ability to quickly launch test programs and ability to quickly understand and modify old programs quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about LabVIEW?

Development on LabVIEW seems to have stalled. HSDIO still only supports 32-bit LabVIEW. Integration with Mercurial is rather crude. Really need to simplify the selection of a list of typedefs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
