Eggplant helps to automate the whole testing process and also helps in monitoring insights post production and also do load testing. It also helps me to schedule and maintain test assets in a single place. Detailed logs are provided along with test evidence which is completely cloud based, helping me to share the reports to any one without any issues. It also helps me with the analysis of application usage post production and giving me insights into how the application is being used by end user and also bring in that information back into testing so that we can focus testing on areas where customers are using the application. And Eggplant also talks about customer experience optimisation rather than just making application bug free. **What do you dislike about Keysight Eggplant?** I could not find anything to dislike in the whole DAI suite. I would recommend this tool to all QA community. It helps to automate not only regression test cases but also exploratory test cases which reduced a great burden on our manual testers, making it a complete solution. This means there is no dependancy in OS or browsers or what code the application run on. It also allow us to embed Selenium commands to automate the web applications using object based automation technique. Good thing in this is they have proper support and customer interaction team where they will help us resolve issues in the upcoming versions. OCR recognition accuracy was little less until version 20. User has variety of commands and options to achieve their work. I have used eggplant for both web based and CAD application testing. CAD applications have more dynamic UI , but still Eggplant was able to recognize those frequently changing images and complete the testing as fed into scripts. **What do you dislike about Keysight Eggplant?** 1. I feel there should be more advanced conditional based commands like if-not, rather then simple conditional statements. 2. Secondly the reporting mechanism of Eggplant is poor. It's very readable even to people who are new to coding programming. We no longer need to depend on object ids or names. We can almost work instantly no prior automation knowledge is required. It's very easy. The inbuilt framework gives you option to run and debug code from point to point which saves lot of development time. You can instantly see whether your SenseTalk script works. Platform and technology independent. As it's image based tool, it works for all applications irrespective of platform it developed on. **What do you dislike about Keysight Eggplant?** OCR not accurate despite the main feature. SenseTalk lacks exception handling. But If else conditions manage some exceptions. Screen resolution plays key role in object identification. Tool struggles when there are theme or resolution changes. There are compatibility issues when UI aspects change. It is very difficult to work with tables using this tool. 4.Despite good framework this tool struggles in critical areas like reading tables. 5.When there performance issues and image loading issues , the tool incorrectly fails the test case which is very frustrating. 6. So neither selenium or other tools can't interact easily like eggplant. They are bringing new features like screen compare etc which actually reduces half of the coding effort. Therefore, we can't monitor the intranet sites. Scripting syntax is easy to understand and write. Can be used for UI automation at multiple platforms, that is a great extensiblity . The test platform is robust and the support is great if you need help. **What do you dislike about Keysight Eggplant?** Tool works based on OCR engine and very rarely it might happen that the tool reports false positive. Have not happened to me yet but i don't trust OCR engines a lot. For simple scripts the tool is easy to learn and do but it requires some training and study to do complex scripting to achieve automation goals. **Recommendations to others considering Keysight Eggplant:** Eggplant is a great tool if you have to do UI automation.
