"Centralized Document Control That Powers Seamless Project Collaboration"
5/5
What do you like best about InEight?

What I like most about InEight is its ability to provide a centralized platform for managing project information throughout the entire project lifecycle. InEight Document, in particular, enables teams to securely manage, track, review, and distribute documents while maintaining version control and a complete audit trail.

Another key strength is the flexibility of configurable workflows and forms, which help standardize document review and approval processes across projects. This improves collaboration among owners, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors while reducing manual effort and improving transparency.

From our experience in Malaysia, InEight has established a strong reputation in the rail infrastructure sector due to its robust document control capabilities. The platform is scalable, user-friendly, and continues to evolve based on customer feedback, making it a reliable solution for organizations undertaking digital transformation in construction.

Overall, InEight provides a solid foundation for project information management, helping project teams improve efficiency, compliance, collaboration, and decision-making. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InEight?

While InEight is a powerful platform, there are several areas where I believe it could be enhanced to better support our clients' needs.

One of the biggest opportunities is BIM integration within InEight Document. Many developers in Malaysia are increasingly adopting BIM, and it would be highly valuable if users could view Navisworks and Revit files directly within the platform without relying on external applications.

There are also some usability improvements that would make everyday workflows more efficient. For example, the ability to convert an Action directly into a Checklist would better align with common construction inspection and handover processes in Malaysia. Additionally, displaying the Links section within the Details tab, rather than in a separate tab, would reduce navigation and provide a more intuitive user experience.

Another area for improvement is the user interface. Simplifying navigation and reducing the number of clicks required to complete common tasks would improve user adoption, especially for new users.

Overall, these are enhancement opportunities rather than major limitations. Addressing them would further strengthen InEight's competitiveness, particularly in the commercial and residential construction sectors, where ease of use and BIM capabilities are becoming increasingly important. "Organized, Professional Platform for Construction Project Coordination"
5/5
What do you like best about InEight?

I have used InEight for a few months mainly to understand project coordination and workflow management related to construction and design work. One thing that felt useful to me was how organized the platform is for handling project information, tasks, and documentation in one place. As someone connected to the architecture and design field, I found it helpful for tracking project-related updates and keeping work more structured instead of managing everything manually. The interface also feels professional, and once I became familiar with the workflow, navigating different sections became easier. Another good point is that the platform is designed for large construction and project environments, so it gives better visibility into ongoing work and coordination between teams. For businesses managing multiple projects, it can help improve organization and reduce confusion during project execution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InEight?

At the beginning, the workflow and navigation felt a little difficult to understand, especially for new users. Since the platform has many project management sections and options, it took some time to get comfortable with the interface. I also felt that a few parts of the dashboard could be more simplified because finding certain project details sometimes requires extra steps. Improving the user experience and making the workflow more intuitive would make the platform easier for architecture and construction teams to use on a daily basis. "Great cost forecasting software"
4/5
What do you like best about InEight?

Connect all commercial estimating logic together with live work packaging modules onto centralized project controls platform. The historical cost breakdown structures are automatically re-calculated by the parametric modeling engine when design modifications impact on the amount of materials. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InEight?

The desktop version allocates too much local memory and crashes in cases of excessive 3D clash detection sessions. A lack of structured interface hierarchy makes navigating through the document control folder system complicated and redundant with several clicks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Ellen Bartlett of InEight

Hi Laura! We are thrilled that InEight has helped your team with project estimating. We also really appreciate your feedback about the desktop application. Feedback like yours helps us to continue to improve, and we are very thankful that you took the time to share your perspective with us.

"Efficient Project Management, Needs Speed Improvement"
4/5
What do you like best about InEight?

I like that InEight helps me keep all project information organized in one place. This makes it easy to access documents, track progress, and stay organized. Having everything in one place saves time and makes it easier to find documents, track updates, and stay informed without searching through multiple systems. It's really useful for managing construction project documentation, daily reports, and tracking project progress. Overall, it improves team communication and reduces paperwork. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InEight?

The platform can sometimes feel slow, especially when loading larger projects or documents. It also takes a bit of time to learn certain features. Improving performance, simplifying navigation, and making commonly used features easier to access would help reduce the learning curve for new users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effective Centralization, Improvable Interfaces"
4.5/5
What do you like best about InEight?

InEight centralizes all the information of a project, which makes the work easier by avoiding having documents scattered across different applications like Excel and Project. I like it because it allows for more accurate financial forecasting. Additionally, it makes scheduling and planning more functional when combined with Project, Oracle, and Microsoft Office. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InEight?

Perhaps make the platform a bit more user-friendly, so that the interface allows each of the responsible parties to see a different menu, focused solely on their tasks. Also, the initial setup was a bit complex. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Ellen Bartlett of InEight

"Excellent AI Forecasting and Amazing Integrations"
5/5
What do you like best about InEight?

It allows me to forecast my projects. With everything in the world turning to AI, this program is no different. The integrations are absolutely amazing as well. The AI’s performance makes it easy to envision my upcoming product, and that experience is excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InEight?

If there’s one thing I had to point out, it would be the price. For my company, which has been in business for a while, it’s fine. However, for a startup company, it could be a lot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All in one software, But a Steep Learning Curve"
3/5
What do you like best about InEight?

The best thing about InEight is that it finally puts an end to the endless spreadsheet chaos. It brings your cost, schedule, and field progress into one single source of truth, so the office and the field are always on the same page. Having that real time visibility when the team updates progress on their mobile devices saves a massive amount of time because you no longer have to manually reconcile conflicting reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InEight?

It takes too much time to learn the platform. It’s becoming increasingly difficult to teach someone how to use the software. While it does a lot and can serve as an all-in-one platform, it lacks the simplicity needed to train cross-functional teams effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Ellen Bartlett of InEight

Thank you for taking the time to share this with us. We're glad to hear that InEight has helped to provide a single source of truth for your cost, schedule, and field progress. It's especially rewarding to know that the real-time visibility and mobile capabilities are helping your team spend less time reconciling data.

We also appreciate your honest feedback about the learning curve. Because InEight is a comprehensive platform designed to support many aspects of the construction lifecycle, we understand that onboarding and training can take time—especially for cross-functional teams. "Feature-Rich Platform, but Setup and Onboarding Can Be Challenging"
2.5/5
What do you like best about InEight?

Centralized project data – reduces information silos between office and field teams.

Document control and version tracking – helps ensure everyone is working from current drawings and specifications.

Cost and schedule visibility – provides real-time insights into project performance.

Field-to-office connectivity – allows field updates, inspections, and reports to flow directly into project records. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InEight?

Learning curve – The platform is feature-rich, which can make onboarding and training more demanding than simpler tools.

Complex setup and configuration – Organizations may need significant effort to tailor workflows, forms, and permissions to their processes.

User interface complexity – Some users find certain modules less intuitive, especially if they only use the software occasionally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Essential for Time Tracking, Needs Comment Feature"
4.5/5
What do you like best about InEight?

I like using InEight for keeping track of the time I spend on projects. The timesheets are an important tool for managing project budgets and understanding how much time needs to be spent on each task. Also, the initial setup is quite easy. I received a verification email, and signing up was straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InEight?

I think the timesheets don't have a feature that can write comments. Would be better to write comments on what exact things I did. I think just adding comments can help let the moderator or the project manager know exactly what was done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Ellen Bartlett of InEight

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, Robert! We're glad to hear that InEight has made it easy to track your time and manage project budgets.

"Robust Solution for Modern Construction Needs"
5/5
What do you like best about InEight?

I like InEight's software environment and its usability, as it makes my job as a project coordinator easier. I think recording daily plans and being able to log time worked, quantities earned, add notes, associate them with a work pack, and add changes is such a powerful tool. I also appreciate InEight's capacity and power to keep up with the modern demands of the construction world. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about InEight?

I don't like that InEight is web-based and not an app. It always asks us to log in every single time we need to use it. The initial setup was quite challenging, especially for older workers who have a hard time getting familiarized with the new interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Ellen Bartlett of InEight

Thank you for your thoughtful review! We're thrilled to hear that InEight is helping make your job as a project coordinator easier and that features like daily planning, time tracking, earned quantities, notes, and work packaging are supporting your day-to-day work.
