What I really appreciate about Ibexa DXP is how it has enabled us to centralize all our content management and give ownership back to our internal team. The intuitive interface, user-friendly page builder, and the ability to reuse assets across markets have made it much easier to manage multiple websites efficiently. Ibexa CMS is particularly impressive due to its strong multisite and multilingual functionality. For our international B2B company, which operates 38 websites in 28 languages, the platform offers centralized, efficient management and a consistent user experience across all markets – a clear competitive advantage.

This point is rather due to the complexity of the requirements: The initial implementation and adaptation to our complex business processes requires a great deal of effort and specific expertise. Therefore, close collaboration with experienced Ibexa partners was and remains essential for international rollouts.

The external, third-party-managed hosting was "a bit bumpy" during the initial go-lives. However, together with our partners and support, we were able to manage it well.

What I like most about Ibexa DXP is its combination of flexibility and structure. From a technical standpoint, two aspects of Ibexa DXP can be challenging. First, the early releases of each LTS version often introduce a noticeable number of regressions, which can impact stability during upgrades. Second, the platform doesn’t always keep pace with the evolution of the Symfony framework, which can lead to outdated components, limited access to newer features, and additional effort to maintain compatibility. For our redesign, Ibexa unified content, e-commerce, and PIM into one coherent interface across all domains. This synergy was vital for team adoption and collaboration. To expand on my feedback regarding the user experience, the back-office challenges generally center on the friction between high-end technical power and daily editorial efficiency. The current back-office experience lacks the "flow" found in more consumer-oriented CMS tools. The writing process can feel fragmented, often requiring too many clicks to perform routine tasks like formatting or structuring content.

In the context of our redesign project, Ibexa allowed us to bring everything together within a single, coherent interface—from content management to e-commerce and product information—across both our main domain and subdomains. This unified vision has been key in helping our teams understand, adopt, and contribute to the platform.

The API-first approach was also a decisive factor. It enabled us to connect Ibexa seamlessly with our existing tools, such as our CRM, without disrupting established workflows. What I sometimes miss is a more extensive plugin library, including open-source developments, as well as more advanced custom builders that would allow greater flexibility and experimentation with new services. While the platform offers customization options, these could be further extended to better adapt to specific use cases. I think it could be better if some hidden options (i.e. "Tools" button), due to role permissions, would be useful if appears disabled, so the user can realize that there are a feature disabled, maybe without his knowlegde, and maybe the user can contact administrator in order to request permissions for that feature.
