**What do you dislike about HelioScope?**

Overall it's a good software for solar design as such there is nothing to dislike

**What problems is HelioScope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helpful in design and simulation studies it also provide 3D view which is helpful for the marketing of the solar projects

  ### 2. Review by one happy customer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stefano C. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2024

**What do you like best about HelioScope?**

Helioscope allows me to design solar PV systems quickly and accurately. It gives me the flexibility to use the mechanical and electrical technologies of my choice. It gives me the ability to check shading effects on my designs and to modify the design accordingly. The LIDAR feature allows me to determine the actual height of building structures or obstacles such as trees, and to adapt my flush solar PV systems to the actual inclination of pitched roofs. And, with all that said, what I like best about Helioscope is the availability, competence, responsiveness, helpfulness and courtesy of their Customer Support.

**What do you dislike about HelioScope?**

One area of improvement would be for Helioscope to introduce location specific data on rainfall, snowfall, dust, proximity to highways, manufacturing plants, bodies of water, etc. to determine actual soiling conditions.

**What problems is HelioScope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using Helioscope I can design detailed solar PV arrays for Ground-Mounted, Rooftop-Mounted or Carport-Mounted systems for any facility, anywhere on earth. The reports that Helioscope generates provide solar production information, and I can get a production profile for an entire year in Excel format that I can then upload into DER optimization software platforms like HOMER Grig, Xendee and Energy Toolbase.

**What do you like best about HelioScope?**

Good UI, easy and quick to create and modify 3D designs

**What do you dislike about HelioScope?**

Different subscription levels and billing options are are not well tailored to our use case: we need most functionality but not all the time (ie sometimes do projects with trackers / bifactial / large capacities etc). We also have users who need occasional access (for review), as well as day-to-day heavy users, but are pushed to buy full subscriptions for every user, regardless of how often they need to log in.

**What problems is HelioScope solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick estimation of system yields based on preliminary design

  ### 6. The Gold Standard for Professional Solar Layouts and Design

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2024

**What do you like best about HelioScope?**

The fact that Helioscope is easy to use but full of great features. Allows us the ability to quickly create a layout and accurately determine annual production while giving us the option to easily run mulitple versions of a layout and determine which is the best one.

**What do you dislike about HelioScope?**

The biggest downside is the limit to annual projects for larger systems and the overall cost per system with the newest pricing structure.
