"HatchWorks Customer for Life"

What do you like best about HatchWorks?

Finding HatchWorks felt like Christmas morning. From the beginning of the process, they made articulating what we need incredibly easy through a series of exercises that pulled the right information from us, rather than us having to create it. Then they crafted the job description, even the right title.

And then the magic began. Candidate CVs, that were so much better than any of our searches had every uncovered, appeared in our inboxes – and they were already prescreened. We received notes from HatchWorks’ recruiters about the ways in which candidates aligned to our needs, as well as honest assessments of where it may not be a perfect fit. This meant our interview could skip a lot of the basics and dive into rich conversations to get a sense of each candidate’s depth of experience, their interest in the specifics of the jobs we need to have done and their fit with our culture.

The combination of having a local, high-touch service with people who intimately understand my needs and how to work with me, with an abundance of talented, experienced nearshore candidates, makes me a HatchWorks customer for life.

What problems is HatchWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?

Running a small business means we are looking for talent to support specific initiatives with regularity. Not only is this time consuming, but we also lack the expertise to do this well. We are not great at writing our own job descriptions, and we always feel like we are floundering to figure out where to post or what sites to comb through. What problems is HatchWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our company has agile teams that make up various product teams. Our developers are often offshore, but we sought to have teams be nearshore to provide the common working hours benefits with our product and testing teams.

We interviewed a number of companies to be our nearshore partner and Hatchworks was selected as a preferred partner.

Hatchworks works with us to help craft the role definition and inserts reality into the conversations to ensure our search criteria is realistic. They perform their searches within a sprint framework focusing on themes and ensuring maximum efficiency in finding and vetting clients. They assess potential fits for a broad spectrum of criteria, everything from technical ability, English language skills, fluency in various software development methodologies, etc. All of the developers they have brought to our teams have been rockstar developers who have caught on and contributed in record time.

Hatchworks leadership also meets with us bi-weekly, bringing feedback from the team and seeking feedback on their developers performance. Hatchworks understand the right blend of factors to ensure project success. They bring extreme technical depth but they also search for characteristics that are harder to screen for: a sense of urgency, exemplary communication skills, and polished professionalism are all things we have experienced when dealing with Hatchworks developers. Describe the project or task HatchWorks helped with:

Project management support for technology initiatives and a large business transformation project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about HatchWorks?

Hatchworks was able to secure senior talent quickly to staff up for a project with very aggressive deadlines. The HW team put in the necessary hours upfront to get up to speed quickly and execute tasks.

I was always pleased with the high quality of the work that was delivered. Due to the number of initiatives happening the outcomes of the work the team had minimal inputs to produce outputs. They were able to quickly turn around deliverables to keep the project moving with minimal revisions.

What do you dislike about HatchWorks?

The only thing I think could have helped in my particular project was to have more resources local to my area. Our project did not have funding for travel so it is not an unwillingness of HW to travel. What problems is HatchWorks solving and how is that benefiting you?

When a large business transformation initiatives was announced with an 8-week turnaround, I knew my understaffed PMO could not meet the deadlines without great help. When I received funding approval I knew who to call and was not disappointed. I assigned two project managers to two large technology initiatives and two project managers to the business transformation work with our markets.
