Our agency has had a very positive experience utilizing both the HALOS Body-Worn Cameras and the Vault Evidence Management System. Overall, both products are well-designed, reliable, and effectively support daily law enforcement operations.
The HALOS Body-Worn Cameras perform exceptionally well in real-world conditions. The video quality is clear, the equipment is durable, and the interface is user-friendly for officers in the field. The cameras integrate seamlessly with Vault for evidence upload and retention.
The Vault Evidence Management System is a strong and dependable platform for organizing, storing, and retrieving digital evidence. Case file creation and evidence linking are straightforward, and the overall system is efficient for both supervisory review and prosecutorial use.
Customer support has been outstanding. The HALOS support team is extremely responsive, knowledgeable, and consistently provides timely assistance when needed. Their professionalism and commitment to resolving issues quickly have greatly enhanced our overall experience with the platform.
In summary, HALOS and Vault provide a strong, dependable body-worn camera and evidence management solution. The system has significantly enhanced our documentation and accountability capabilities. With the addition of a mute function on the cameras and an automatic evidential safeguard within Vault, the platform would be even stronger.

On the BWC, the only minor limitation we have identified is the absence of a mute function, which would be a valuable feature for sensitive conversations or administrative moments that do not require audio recording such as that which is offered on other BWCs.
On The Vault Evidence Management System, one area for potential improvement involves the evidential tagging process. At this time, when creating a case file, administrators must manually ensure each video is marked as “evidential.” If this step is missed, the video will expire and be removed from the case file. As a safeguard, we would welcome a feature where any media placed into a case file is automatically flagged as evidential and preserved to prevent accidental deletion.
