"Comprehensive Security Solution with Minor Tweaks Needed"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Halo Security?

I really like how easy Halo Security is to use and the clarity of its reporting. The actionable insights it provides, rather than just listing vulnerabilities, help our team prioritize and remediate issues effectively. The platform's manual and automated scanning for PCI DSS saves us significant time and ensures continuous compliance without any manual effort. I appreciate the centralized dashboard that offers visibility into our security posture, making it easier to track progress and demonstrate compliance to stakeholders. The setup was easy and well-guided, allowing us to start scanning within hours, and it integrates well with our existing tools. Halo Security's advanced security features and better threat detection were key reasons for switching, and the detailed insights it provides are just great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Halo Security?

While Halo Security works well overall, there are a few areas that could be improved. At times, the scan results can generate false positives, which require additional time for validation. The reporting, while clear, could offer more customization options to better fit the stakeholder needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Integrations and Deep Scans, But UI/UX Needs Improvement"
4/5
What do you like best about Halo Security?

This product offers some of the best functionality I have encountered, especially with its integrations with GCP, AWS, and a variety of other DNS and domain services. These integrations significantly enhance its ability to provide up-to-date information about domains, IP addresses, and more. In my experience, the scanning results are the most thorough among the ASMs I have tested. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Halo Security?

The UI/UX could be better, as the learning curve is quite steep. I often spend a lot of time just trying to locate the features I need. Occasionally, the interface changes significantly—usually for the better—but this means I have to relearn the logic behind where things are. Over the course of more than six months of use, I've seen the interface improved a few times, yet it still takes some effort to fully grasp how everything works. "Peace of Mind with Reliable Security Scanning"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Halo Security?

The peace of mind it provides is a major plus. I can trust that it’s consistently scanning for and evaluating potential security issues, so nothing slips through the cracks or leaves me vulnerable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Halo Security?

I don’t think this is specific to Halo Security; it seems more like the nature of the industry. There are a lot of special scenarios and edge cases that can sometimes lead to false positives. The issues that get flagged feel very rigid, and the results still need someone who knows how to interpret them properly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best-in-Class Security Support with Detailed Scans and Easy Integrations"
5/5
What do you like best about Halo Security?

There one on one support with their security experts is the best thing. Very helpful and knowledgeable. They walk you through every step, they are proactive and make its easy to use and understand the UI. I think what they offer is well worth the price, couldn't find anything else out there for the same value. Scans are detailed, integrations are easy. They already had most of our targets scanned by the time we got on the discovery call. For all the data that is collected and presented, the software performance is great and response when you use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Halo Security?

Does its job and points out my vulnerabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined PCI Compliance Made Easy"
4/5
What do you like best about Halo Security?

I like that Halo Security runs automated and continuous scans. The asset discovery is really helpful, especially in identifying external public-facing assets based on IP ranges. Its compliance reporting for PCI DSS is thorough, offering scanned assets in a formal PCI DSS standard, and it provides auditable evidence artifacts for auditors. The lightweight integration model makes things easier for us. The initial setup was very straightforward without complex onboarding steps, and we could configure our public IP ranges and scan schedules as per PCI DSS requirements. Overall, I find it well-optimized for PCI compliance scanning and reporting, and I would rate it highly for its ease of use and robust features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Halo Security?

Nothing major apart from some additional scanning features and vulnerability databases evolving threat vectors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Vulnerability Detection with Ease of Use"
4/5
What do you like best about Halo Security?

I like the reports generated by Halo Security and the alerts it sends to email when it finds a problem. The ease of use of its web interface is another thing I appreciate a lot. I don't have to constantly monitor security, as I can rely on receiving email notifications immediately if there is a problem with any dependency we use. Moreover, it not only alerts me to the problem but also provides recommendations on how to solve it. The initial setup was very simple, as you only need to register the product or website in the tool, and it starts reporting vulnerabilities automatically. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Halo Security?

Sometimes the interface is a bit confusing, as we have several web products with different URLs, and navigating between the products and vulnerabilities can be somewhat unintuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Strong Continuous Monitoring"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Halo Security?

What stands out most is the continuous monitoring especially the Dark Web leaks. Having automated, ongoing checks gives us confidence that new issues or changes won’t slip through the cracks, and it reduces the manual effort needed to stay on top of our environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Halo Security?

I’d like to see more granular configuration options for integrations. Right now, the settings feel a bit too high‑level, which limits how precisely we can tailor the connections to our environment. Having finer control, such as more detailed sync rules, filtering options, or customizable scopes, would make the integrations more flexible and better aligned with our specific workflows. "Exceptional Scanning with Outstanding Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Halo Security?

I really appreciate Halo Security's solid scans that consistently catch things that matter. The standout feature for me is the detailed and easy-to-understand reports that provide clear actionable guidance. This has helped us stay more proactive about improving our security instead of just reacting to issues. Their support team is also great—responsive, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. They provide clear and concise information regarding vulnerabilities and give suggestions on how to remediate them within the context of our organization. I also heavily endorse Halo Security because of its great service at a great cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Halo Security?

The only complaint that I have is really not one that I can say is Halo Security's responsibility. As much as it is the responsibility of myself as a customer to make sure that all of my assets that Halo is scanning is current and accurate. Oftentimes, we have new servers pop up on our network as time goes on, and we might forget to add that to the scanning lists. So, I don't know how to solve that issue other than better internal housekeeping as a Halo customer. But if Halo had a discovery or perhaps a timed questionnaire asking, 'do you have more sites up' or had the ability to discover those sites, that would be potentially interesting. "Intuitive, Actionable Attack Surface Monitoring with Clear Stakeholder-Friendly Insights"
4/5
What do you like best about Halo Security?

Halo Security provides a clear, actionable view of our external attack surface, making it easy to identify and prioritize vulnerabilities. The platform is intuitive to use, and implementation was straightforward with minimal overhead. I especially appreciate how it continuously monitors for new risks and presents findings in a way that’s easy for both technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Halo Security?

While the platform is powerful, some of the reporting and customization options could be more flexible. At times, the volume of findings can feel overwhelming without more advanced filtering or prioritization controls. Additionally, deeper integrations with other security tools would help streamline workflows and reduce manual effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to Use & Fast Performance"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Halo Security?

This product is incredibly easy to use and features a very pleasant and clean UI/UX, which makes daily activities fast and simple to complete. The performance is top-notch, with snappy load times and reliable execution. A major plus is the available integrations, which are practically effortless to set up and use alongside our current tools. Furthermore, the built-in AI and intelligence features cleverly automate tasks and provide smart insights, adding real value to the platform. In terms of Pricing and ROI, the time saved makes it a highly cost-effective investment. Finally, the onboarding was smooth, and their support team is always available, well-prepared, and ready to help whenever needed. Highly recommended! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Halo Security?

The only downside might be the lack of certain integrations, but since it's a product still in development, these will surely come. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
