The best thing I like about the portal is the UX. The interface is very user friendly, where in you can view all your projects and the API's google offers. There is also a way of calling the API through the portal itself just to test out how it works. Also you can view all your requests/traffic for any project you created through the developer console. I have created a youtube sample project for myself where I call the google API to fetch subtitle of a youtube video and analyze the text using natural processing algorithms. Its easy, faster and affordable." 5/5 What do you like best about Google Developer Portal? I am working with google portal i.e Firebase. I used it to set the server on the cloud with out any hesitation. Google support for this is best. The data store , documents, functions every thing is there. Hosting facility I like the most. One can host multiple sites with there custom domains and manage it too easily. Upload and download facility of documents are sleek. There are machine learning and analytics which are yet to explore. Nothing is there to dislike. I would like to learn and enhance more with this tool. I am happy with the speed. It has some limitations like only 100 tables are allowed in db , but that is fine. Also I do not found a way to build a relations between tables. I also get confuse for google services that where to use and how it will benefit. This amazing platform provided us almost a complete solution for our startup like solutions from databases, ads, storage etc. It is the main hub for every service of google, keeping our everything at one place. It is free for starting and facilitates us everything in free version. This is an amazing implementation for startups. This enabled us software development tools in better way. All the API and technical resources are given by this platform. It entertains us every product of google at one place. This is the best tool for developers who are using google products. Everything they are giving through a single hub needs just little bit proper organization like things should be in more organized way than it is currently but apart from this only everything is running well. One more thing needs to be added that is proper documentation for training because some features are bit confusing for new user or non-technical users so proper training documentation is required for their learning. "Good product -- worth trying out" 3.5/5 What do you like best about Google Developer Portal? In general, the dev portal is convenient for those creating products. The smooth UI and fast speeds certainly help with making development versionable, easy to share, and quick to create. Finally the cost structure is also good for even large enterprises (google cloud is priced quite reasonably. I would also point out that the general centralness of all Google products showing up on the dev console as a big benefit. Furthermore APIs for obscure services can be searched and permissioned for use in applications. In general it is as good if not better than competitor tools such as AWS management portal. Essentially the use of google dev portal is to manage google cloud service usage, optimize, configure, and version control. Over the past few years we have used the product for a variety to tasks including cost reduction, optimization, and data management. The benefit is that the portal provides an accurate view into google service usage and is an important tool in monitoring and managing expenses as well as utilization. Quite easily things can be scaled up and scaled down which leads to better performance. It is also incredibly secure, to the point of too secure in how difficult it is for api integration. What I like the most about Google Developer Portal, is that you can basically do a whole new startup without the need of worrying about infraestructure and developing multiple features for making your business work, in fact, they provide multiple solutions from databases, storage, ads, among others, that allows you, even for free (if your starting) validate your company or product. I believed from my perspective, that they should focus on integration among their platforms, for example, the integration with flutter and firebase , i think it could be a lot easier. I'm using it for my startup and it has been wonderful, i tried with other platforms and they dont have a hub for their techonologies easy as Google Developer Portal. First i started with firebase, but then i realized theres other API's and tools, also connected with firebase, that allows you to focus on you business model rather than expending hours and hours trying to solve or develop features, already available in google developer portal.
