I started using FTK a very long time ago. I have used every version from 1.81 to 5.5. I skipped a few versions and returned with 7.6. But in all the changes the move to version 8 is by far the best. The ability to share the work with my investigators has never been easier. I have provided FTK reports before, but allowing the investigator to mark items for further review or to eleminate items that do not fit the bill is a total game changer. I really love that I can pull data from a cell phone, an exchange server and a laptop, and drop them into the same case and see time lines, data from emails next to text messages, and saved documents on a timeline can help locate a suspect in realtime.
