"Powerful Integration Tool with Easy Setup"
5/5
What do you like best about Frends?

I love how powerful Frends is. It offers good performance and uptime, which are crucial for our needs. I appreciate the easiness of creating processes and integrations, especially since we work with BPMN processes. This makes it much easier for IT and business stakeholders to collaborate. Monitoring is also straightforward; it’s easy to follow up and see the progress of processes and schedule processes. Additionally, the initial setup of Frends was very easy, and that's a big plus for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frends?

I want more and better possibilities for testing processes or parts of processes. Frends has them on their roadmap but at 0% progression. We currently have to finalize a flow and run it as a permanent process instead of being able to run a flow while developing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Integration with Superior Debugging"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Frends?

I use Frends for all our integration needs because it offers an easy and modern way to integrate with any kind of endpoint. I love the superior error handling and debugging features; building sufficient error handling was very time consuming with our previous integration platform, but now it requires almost no time at all. Good debugging helps in error situations and aids in development. It's also very user friendly. I appreciate that they keep the system modern by adding new features, like AI helpers, which are useful for adding custom code. Setting up Frends was quite easy, practically just running installation wizards, and I really appreciate that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frends?

I wish I could ask AI which Frends process or task does some specific action, e.g. which process(es) write into specific DB table or so on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined API Integration with Room for Improvement"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Frends?

I've found that once we got used to Frends, it became quite easy to build integrations. I particularly like how we can expose an API or call other systems using ready-made tasks provided by Frends. It's definitely much easier to use these ready-made tasks than having to code everything from scratch. The presence of these tasks in the Frends library really helps make the process smoother, and the more tasks available, the easier it becomes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frends?

I find that you still need to know C# and JSON pretty well, so it's not no code platform. It's not even the lowest low code platform. I would appreciate needing less coding. The UI looks quite good but is very basic and even naive in some cases. For example, when you change the name of a variable, you have to change it everywhere manually. It would be nice if changing it once applied everywhere automatically. Also, the UI is all black and white by default, and while you can set colors, it would be nice if different tasks and UI elements were colored differently by default. Many basic UI things could be improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Smooth iPaaS Integrations with Open-Source Tasks and Top-Class Documentation"
5/5
What do you like best about Frends?

It’s an iPaaS that works very smoothly when developing new integrations. I also like that the tasks are “open source,” which means I can easily develop new features and implement them.

The documentation is top-class as well and very usable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frends?

I wouldn’t say I dislike anything, but I have noticed a few small gaps in functionality in areas that are fairly common in the IT industry—for example, standardized SOAP handling. On the other hand, they are very quick to implement new functionality when something needs to be added. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Frends: Powerful in Practice, with Tradeoffs to Consider"
4/5
What do you like best about Frends?

UI / UX

The user interface is functional, clear, and relatively easy to understand. It strikes a good balance between simplicity and capability, allowing integrations to be built without excessive complexity. However, when processes grow larger, navigation and readability can become slightly challenging, especially with more advanced logic spread across multiple nodes.

Integrations

Frends is a capable integration platform and supports a wide range of use cases. Based on experience, it handles various APIs and systems (such as Intune, Autotask, Zabbix, and others) quite well. That said, more complex or non-standard customer environments often require custom logic and deeper technical work—meaning it’s not always a “plug-and-play” solution.

Performance

Performance has been solid overall. Even larger datasets and more demanding integrations have run efficiently, and execution times are generally reliable. Some challenges have appeared with very large customer environments, where data needs occasional cleanup or optimization, but nothing fundamentally limiting.

Pricing / ROI

Frends is not a low-cost solution. Each integration adds to the overall cost, and AI-related features consume credits, which can accumulate quickly. While the platform delivers value through automation and centralization, cost awareness is necessary—especially during development and testing phases where AI usage can increase expenses without directly generating ROI.

Support / Onboarding

Support has been fast and generally effective. Responses are helpful and issues are addressed quickly. However, a notable downside is that some previously free or basic support inquiries may become chargeable without clear upfront communication, which can be frustrating from a customer perspective.

AI / Intelligence

The AI features are useful, particularly in assisting with integration design, scripting, and troubleshooting. They can speed up development and provide helpful suggestions. However, since usage is tied to AI credits, it can discourage experimentation and iterative development. This limits the practical usefulness of AI in day-to-day work, especially in early development stages.

Overall

Frends is a capable and flexible integration platform that can handle a wide variety of scenarios effectively. It performs well and provides solid tooling for building integrations. However, it is not entirely “ready out of the box” for more complex environments—customization is often required. Additionally, pricing and AI usage costs should be carefully considered when planning long-term usage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frends?

Support should be more transparent and customer-oriented, especially before introducing billing. There have been cases where assistance was provided, and only afterward a charge was issued—without any prior notice that the support would be billable.

This kind of approach can feel unexpected and reduces trust. It would be better if any potential costs were clearly communicated in advance, allowing customers to make informed decisions before accepting support.

Frends does provide AI-based support, which works reasonably well for general guidance. Personal assistance is also available via email, which is a positive aspect. However, there is still an expectation that a certain level of support could be included as part of an active customer relationship.

From both a customer and vendor perspective, ensuring accessible and helpful support without immediate billing would likely lead to higher satisfaction and stronger long-term collaboration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Solid iPaaS with great visibility and a strong reuse model"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Frends?

The visual process designer is a standout feature. It lets you understand the full integration flow at a glance, which makes onboarding new team members much easier. At the same time, C# expressions are available wherever you need them, so you’re never boxed in by the platform when the logic becomes more complex. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frends?

Technical support can be limited. Response times are sometimes slow, and it can be difficult to get detailed guidance on more complex or edge-case integration scenarios. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Many options to build different integrations with full logging and changelog"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Frends?

Built on C# where you easily can find other resources to build what you need

Full changelog and possibility to quickly switch version if needed

Simple deploy from Dev->Test->Prod

Cloud based, but can also execute processes locally

Simple pricemodel Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frends?

Require C# knowledge do anything more complex

Quite "raw" errormessages when something doesn't work (basically direct from C# exception)

Difficult for new users to fully understand what is wrong when building new processes. For example what type is a certain variable, String, JArray, JToken? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Integration Development and Management"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Frends?

I like the graphical development tool in Frends, which allows me to design and build integrations iteratively while focusing on business needs instead of technical details. I especially appreciate the clear structure and manageability the graphical development tool provides, making it easy to oversee and maintain complex integrations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frends?

While Frends works very well, I sometimes find it more natural to discuss integration needs interactively with tools like Gemini or ChatGPT when solving complex scenarios. One area for improvement could be adding a more interactive, canvas-style development experience similar to the new ChatGPT or Gemini tools. This would make it even more natural to explore and design integrations in a conversational, iterative way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Simplicity.

Easy to use.

Easy to implement if you are familiar with Microsoft stack.

Customer support is ok but could be better.

Since it's quite simple it's easy to design and implement integrations if you know what you are doing.

We are using it for huge number of integrations under the hood of our integration solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frends?

New chatbot.

Now it's quite hard to contact person for help when using help chat.

Sometimes there are bugs that is hard to explain. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexible, stable and working solution for all your integration needs"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Frends?

The development UI is incredibly easy and flexible allowing new development to be done really agile. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Frends?

There is some overhead when processing large datasets, this is mostly a matter of implementation. New scaling pricing is not as beneficial as the original license based pricing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
