"Exceptional Document Management with GDPR Compliance"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Webdocs?

As a cloud compliance specialist, my favorite part of Webdocs is its robust, customizable access control system tailored for regulated data environments. Unlike basic file storage tools, it lets me build precise tiered user permissions for our cross-functional IT and client service teams. I can strictly restrict sensitive client security documents and audit logs only to authorized compliance staff, while limiting junior engineers to view-only access for standard technical docs, which fully adheres to GDPR data minimization and BSI IT-Grundschutz requirements. Beyond access management, the automatic version tracking is a massive workflow upgrade. It logs every document edit with clear user IDs and timestamps, eliminating outdated file versions and manual change logging. This makes preparing for annual IT security and GDPR audits incredibly efficient, as we have complete, traceable documentation history ready for regulator reviews at all times. What do you dislike about Webdocs?

The biggest pain points are centered around missing German regional compliance optimizations and limited native tool integrations. Webdocs has no built-in connection to standard BSI audit reporting tools, so our team has to manually export, sort, and reformat CSV permission logs for every audit cycle, which adds redundant manual work. The platform’s search functionality also struggles with complex German technical file names and umlaut characters, often failing to pull up accurate results and slowing down daily document retrieval. On top of that, default audit trail exports don’t match official German GDPR regulatory formats, requiring extra editing and restructuring before submission. Initial compliance setup was also overly tedious—there are no pre-built templates for BSI and GDPR permission hierarchies, forcing our team to manually configure all access rules from scratch. New junior team members also require dedicated one-on-one training to master audit log configuration workflows, as the native onboarding resources lack regional compliance guidance. "Centralized Trade Compliance Storage, Held Back By Missing Customs Integrations"
3/5
What do you like best about Webdocs?

Our whole trade team relies on Webdocs to gather every cross-border compliance file in one protected location—customs declarations, supplier origin docs, EU VAT forms and full audit trails no longer sit across shared drives or local laptops. Its version control and region-specific compliance tagging are a standout fit for GoBD and GDPR rules; sorting trade paperwork for audits takes a fraction of the time it used to. Granular access controls let us lock confidential shipment data from junior staff while letting overseas suppliers view only their relevant certificates, and auto-alerts for expiring paperwork save us from costly customs holds. Quick search functionality also means we never waste hours digging up records for random inspection requests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Webdocs?

The biggest pain point is no direct link to Germany’s ATLAS customs system. We have to manually retype document data between platforms, which creates avoidable entry errors and compliance exposure. Offline access is extremely limited, so our logistics field team struggles to pull files abroad with spotty connectivity. There aren’t pre-built tag templates for TARIC codes or GoBD audit logs, forcing our compliance team to manually adjust metadata on every new upload. On top of that, support turnaround slows down drastically during last-minute customs clearance crises when we need fast resolutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Solid DSGVO & BSI Document Tool, Missing Critical Networking Integrations"
3/5
What do you like best about Webdocs?

EU-resident storage fully aligns with DSGVO and BSI IT-Grundschutz, which is non-negotiable for our network audit submissions. Role-locked access prevents unauthorized staff from viewing sensitive device configurations, and permanent version logs serve as mandatory audit evidence. Tagging also lets me pull vulnerability reports instantly instead of digging through messy folder structures. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Webdocs?

There’s no native connection to our network monitoring stack, forcing weekly CSV exports. Export encoding corrupts German umlauts on device and client labels, bulk archive downloads drag, and there are no ready-made templates built for BSI network compliance paperwork. "Organized, Secure, Yet Needs Faster Uploads"
4/5
What do you like best about Webdocs?

I heavily rely on Webdocs to organize all field inspection paperwork and geospatial data from ArcGIS Survey123. It provides secure centralized storage perfectly, ensuring every geospatial survey record and inspection document is archived properly for client service and compliance. I value the customizable folder structure and granular user permission controls, which fit our work perfectly. The role-based access is incredibly reliable, and the flexible filing system keeps all field records neatly organized. The secure sharing feature saves a huge amount of trouble by allowing me to generate password-protected share links. The platform focuses purely on document management without extra bloated features, making daily file maintenance quick and easy. Overall, Webdocs keeps our field-collected data structured, traceable, and protected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Webdocs?

The biggest pain point is unstable bulk file uploading. If I select more than 10 files at once, the upload frequently freezes or times out due to large image sizes. I have to split all materials into small groups and upload them one batch at a time, which adds unnecessary administrative work every afternoon after fieldwork. Another shortcoming is the lack of an in-browser image preview. Every time I need to verify photos of medical device components before filing records, I must download each picture to my local device. There is no quick inline viewer, so reviewing visual evidence takes far longer. I cannot zoom into small details on equipment without downloading the file first, slowing down my quality check for each inspection case. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Collaboration with Some PDF Hiccups"
4/5
What do you like best about Webdocs?

I love how Webdocs makes real-time collaboration seamless and frustration-free, which is huge for our fast-paced Hong Kong B2B environment. The ability to have multiple team members and clients editing the same document at once, with clear changes and comments, keeps workflows incredibly efficient. I also really appreciate its clean, intuitive interface—no complicated menus or steep learning curve. Our team could start using it productively right away without lengthy training. The real-time editing and straightforward interface together make Webdocs feel built for how we actually work. The initial setup was really straightforward and hassle-free, making it easy for us to get started. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Webdocs?

I've found that large file uploads and heavy documents can slow down the editor slightly, which is frustrating when working with long proposals or data-heavy content. Exporting to PDF sometimes doesn’t preserve formatting perfectly either, requiring extra checks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Dependable Document Control with Room for UI Improvement"
5/5
What do you like best about Webdocs?

I like Webdocs because it takes the stress out of managing documents by storing everything in one place, making it easy to find, and eliminating the worry of using the wrong version. The security controls give me peace of mind, and the simple workflow makes approval and sharing much smoother. It saves time, reduces confusion, and makes day-to-day work feel more organized and manageable. Also, it solves the issue of disorganized and hard-to-find documents by providing a secure place to store and manage all files, which eliminates time wasted searching through emails, shared drives, or paper records. I appreciate the quick search, version control, and automated workflows that reduce manual work and mistakes in document handling. The system also tackles security and compliance issues effectively through role-based access and audit trails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Webdocs?

The interface feels a bit outdated, and performance can be slowed at times, especially with large documents. The user interface could be improved by making it more modern and intuitive, with a clear layout, clear icons, and fewer clicks to complete common tasks. Performance could be better by speeding up document loading and navigation, especially when working with large files or high document volumes. Improving responsiveness would make daily use feel smoother and more efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
