Express 409A Reviews & Provider Details

Express 409A delivers mission-critical IRC §409A and ASC 718 fair market value determinations for private companies issuing equity compensation — built for the trigger events that can't wait. Every 409A valuation exists because something just happened. A funding round closed and the company needs to grant stock options from a new pool. A key hire is waiting on an offer letter with a strike price. Safe harbor is expiring before the next board meeting. A material event — leadership change, significant revenue shift, secondary transaction — has rendered the prior FMV unreliable. In each of these moments, every day without a current fair market value determination is a day the company cannot compliantly grant options under IRC §409A. Next-Day Delivery: Express 409A delivers audit-ready FMV reports within 48 hours from document clearance. The gap between your trigger event and your next compliant option grant is measured in days, not the 2-6 weeks typical of traditional providers. Audit Defensibility: Our valuation team applies analytical rigor drawn from investment banking M&A processes. Comparable company screening with live market data. Transaction multiple calibration benchmarked against observed deal activity. Marketability discount analysis grounded in empirical transaction behavior, not textbook ranges. The same methodology used in fairness opinions supporting over $50 billion in aggregate transaction value — applied to your common stock FMV. Every assumption documented. Every conclusion defensible under IRS and auditor scrutiny. Complete Governance Package: We don't hand you a PDF and disappear. Every engagement includes a board resolution draft referencing the concluded FMV, valuation date, and appraiser certification — ready for your next board consent. A strike-price schedule calculated and formatted for your option grant workflow. A material event map identifying every future trigger that would require a valuation refresh: new funding rounds, executive changes, revenue milestones, secondary transactions, anticipated M&A activity. And lifetime audit support — when your auditor calls with methodology questions about comparable selection, allocation models, or discount assumptions, our team takes that conversation directly. Express 409A serves C-Corps, S-Corps, and LLC structures across every industry. Pre-revenue through profitable. Simple cap tables through complex multi-series preferred structures. Whether it is a company's first 409A before its first option grant or an annual safe harbor refresh, the process and the deliverables follow the same rigor. AICPA Valuation Guide aligned. IRS safe harbor compliant. IRC §409A. ASC 718 dual-purpose ready. Independent appraiser signed.
