"Windsurf Speeds Up Development with an Easy, Productive Workflow"
4/5
What do you like best about Windsurf?

What I like most about Windsurf is how simple it is to use while still speeding up development by making both coding and debugging easier. Getting started is fairly quick, and it doesn’t take much effort to set up within my development workflow. I use it regularly during development, which helps me stay productive and keep tasks organized. It also includes a lot of useful features that make the overall coding and debugging process smoother. I haven’t needed customer support very often, but when I do, the available resources are helpful. On top of that, it works well with different development tools, so integrating it into an existing workflow is straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Windsurf?

What I dislike about Windsurf is that it can take a little time to fully understand all the features when starting out. Sometimes the interface can feel a bit overwhelming, and certain advanced options are not very intuitive. It would be better if the documentation and guidance for new users were a bit clearer. "AI-Powered Boost for Project Efficiency"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Windsurf?

I love how Windsurf handles prompts by mapping out the steps clearly before starting to work on them. This helps me easily pinpoint issues or make changes in specific sections of codes without going through the whole code. The AI models Windsurf provides, even in the free plan, like SW 1.5, deliver impressive outputs that feel on par with paid models. It's great that the option to use SWE 1.5 model, so even when my paid plan tokens run out, I can still use the SWE 1.5 model for free. This flexibility is really helpful while I'm building projects. Windsurf saves me a lot of time, allowing me to work on multiple projects simultaneously and complete them faster. The results are definitely much better compared to when I was doing manual coding without using AI models. These two advantages have been great for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Windsurf?

Recently, the update regarding payment plans was a bit troubling. They introduced limitations on daily and weekly usage even in the paid plan, which wasn't there before. This is bothersome as I'm unable to use the best models without quickly running out of tokens, leaving me with the free model, which lacks in some use cases. Also, while the UI is good, there could be improvements, like being able to use Windsurf locally. Something like connecting through commands and working on projects locally without the app would be really helpful. Moreover, during the setup, the free trial was confusing. The trial offered only 100 credits for the free model, and once consumed, I couldn't access the paid models until the trial ended, which was inconvenient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Windsurf’s Powerful AI-Driven IDE: Cascade, Tab Autocomplete, and Live Previews"
4/5
What do you like best about Windsurf?

What I like most about Windsurf is its core feature set: Cascade for deep, codebase-aware AI work; Tab for context-aware autocomplete; Previews for live website editing inside the IDE; MCP support; terminal commands in natural language; and inline refactoring tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Windsurf?

The biggest downside for me is that Windsurf feels designed for people who want a fairly opinionated, AI-heavy workflow, so it can be a bit much if you’re only looking for lightweight suggestions. On top of that, the pricing structure recently changed from a credit-based system to usage allowances that refresh daily and weekly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Helpful Code Assistant with Familiar VSCode Feel, but Needs Better BSD/Mac Context"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Windsurf?

Overall as a code assistance AI, I've found it to be helpfully. It has helped me with the tedious things I normally have to review documentation with especially commands like awk and sed when writing bash scripts. The UI/UX is very much like VSCode and that meant it took less time for me to learn the UI portion of the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Windsurf?

It "forgets" that I'm normally running my bash scripts from a MacBook with the BSD syntax and not the Linux. While most of the time I see the Linux syntax and fix it, sometimes it has taken more prompts to remind Windsurf. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Windsurf?

Windsurf AI is too good only! Coding became very fast and the suggestions are spot on. No need to think too much, it does the work itself. Superb tool, fully recommend for all developers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Windsurf?

Only small thing is, sometimes it takes little extra time to load yaar. Nothing major only, just minor lag here and there. Otherwise everything is too good itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless AI Integration, Cost-Effective Coding"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Windsurf?

I appreciate Windsurf for its seamless integration with multiple AI code assistants within a single editor, allowing me to effortlessly switch between them. This flexibility is incredibly valuable as it enables me to use different agents tailored to specific tasks, such as using ChatGPT for text writing and Sonnet for coding. The platform is well-integrated with these assistants, enhancing my workflow efficiency. I particularly like the ability to switch to low credit assistants for simple tasks, which helps me manage costs effectively while maintaining productivity. The quick code suggestions feature is another highlight, offering immediate support and ideas, thus speeding up my coding process. Additionally, I admire how Windsurf's AI integration surpasses that of Visual Studio Code, which was a significant factor in choosing Windsurf as my preferred tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Windsurf?

I am concerned about the pricing of Windsurf, particularly after Sonnet became more expensive. I feel it would be beneficial if the pricing could be lowered to make it more affordable, especially since I rely on low credit assistants for simple tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Versatile AI Integration, Minimal Setup"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Windsurf?

I appreciate the ability to switch between agents in Windsurf, as they are often updated, allowing me to choose the best one currently on the market. It's really helpful to be able to select different agents for different tasks without having to change my AI subscriptions. The better integration with agents compared to VSCode was a key reason for switching. I found the initial setup very easy, just needing to install and log in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Windsurf?

Sometimes agents make mistakes and are unable to edit code. For example, Gemini 3 Pro currently occasionally fails and asks me what to do, so I have to reply and spend twice the credits on the task which should have already been solved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent File Review UI That Stands Out"
4/5
What do you like best about Windsurf?

It has a very good file review UI compared to Cursor or Antigravity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Windsurf?

It doesn’t have a built-in browser, so I can’t select elements directly from it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I love it, this is my daily driver for coding."
4.5/5
What do you like best about Windsurf?

1)Unlimited autocomplete in free plan as well as SWE-1 in free plan it helps a lot in developing.

2)SWE-1 has very accurate code for my use case which is mostly backend and creating UI and stuff in react.

3)The code written by cascade is auto applied without accepting or saving code so developer can just test if it works then they can accept it, It's beautiful.

4)The windsurf browser it's wow man, how it selects div , gets logs insane helpful in frontend development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Windsurf?

SWE-1 has very slow response time I just have to wait a long. One more thing the cascade terminal has a lot of bug it should be improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
