"Effortless real-time rendering with smooth live updates and excellent output quality"
5/5
What do you like best about Enscape 3D?

Enscape is very easy to use and works smoothly as a real-time rendering tool inside design software. The live updates help me quickly see changes in my model, and the output quality is good without needing complex setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Enscape 3D?

It can feel heavy on the system, especially with large or detailed models. Also, customization options are somewhat limited compared to advanced rendering engines. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Cassandra Trillhose of Enscape 3D

Thank you Muzammil for sharing your positive experience with Chaos Enscape as well! We're glad to hear that Enscape helps you visualize your designs in real time, while also saving you time when testing and exporting renders. We're continuously working on optimizing performance and expanding customization features in future updates.

"Easy workflow"
5/5
What do you like best about Enscape 3D?

I most like the simple user interface, the live updates as a result of being a plugin to Revit, easy to setup and get started, and the outputs are good quality for relatively little input needed outside of the base model. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Enscape 3D?

I use a powerful laptop designed for BIM and still struggle to fly around smoothly in some models, even those which aren't necessarily that large of a file size. I wish there were better controls for assets, such as turning lights on or off, and generally a wider range of assets to choose from. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Enscape for SketchUp: The Perfect Balance of Speed and Simplicity"
5/5
What do you like best about Enscape 3D?

Real-Time Rendering: Enscape operates directly within SketchUp. Any change you make to your 3D model is instantly reflected in the rendering window, eliminating the need for constant exporting.

Ease of Use: It has a very shallow learning curve. You don’t need to be a visualization expert to produce high-quality images; the default settings are often "good to go."

Extensive Asset Library: It comes with thousands of high-quality, ready-to-use 3D models (trees, people, furniture, vehicles) that are optimized for performance and don't slow down SketchUp. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Enscape 3D?

Limited Customization (The "Enscape Look"): Because it is designed for speed, it lacks the deep, granular control found in engines like V-Ray or Corona. This often results in a specific "Enscape style" that can look less artistic or unique.

Heavy Hardware Requirements: Although it’s fast, it relies heavily on the Graphics Card (GPU). If you don't have a high-end NVIDIA or AMD card, you will experience significant lag or crashes.

Lack of Advanced Lighting Tools: It struggles with complex interior lighting scenarios or caustic effects (light refraction through glass/water) compared to high-end offline renderers.

Limited Post-Processing: While it has some basic color grading, you often need external software (like Photoshop) to achieve a truly professional, "photorealistic" finish.

Mac Performance Issues: Although Enscape is now available for Mac, the performance and feature set have historically lagged behind the Windows version, especially on non-M-series chips. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Enscape 3D for SketchUp - Architectural Renderings"
5/5
What do you like best about Enscape 3D?

Enscape has provided our team with the ability to produce realistic renderings on a scale unlike anything we had previously used or dealt with. Our design drafts consisted of images straight from SketchUp or Revit and really lacked the polished and finished look that Enscape quickly delivers with ease at the push of a button. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Enscape 3D?

The one thing I personally dislike the most about Enscape is that single lines across faces do not come through in the rendering. For me, this makes things like score lines somewhat tedious to draw if you want them to appear in the render. I believe this might be a SketchUp -> Enscape issue so with other programs, the experience and results might differ. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from dijana boshkova of Enscape 3D

Hi Matthew, thank you for the detailed review! We’re glad to hear that Enscape helps your team move beyond flat drawings and present projects in a more engaging format that clients can explore with confidence.

We also appreciate your feedback on how certain SketchUp elements translate into renders, as input like this helps guide ongoing improvements. Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience!

"High-Quality Realism with Efficient Asset Library"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Enscape 3D?

I really value the asset library and material editor in Enscape 3D. They're critical in communicating designs to clients and producing high-quality models. The high-end visual realism it offers allows us to achieve the desired design with high accuracy, making communication much easier. It's efficient and time-saving, and I found the initial setup extremely easy. Enscape is definitely my go-to for rendering software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Enscape 3D?

I find the asset library lacks diversity, particularly in landscape architectural components. It would be great to have a wider variety in trees, including seasonal interests, shapes, sizes, and species. I'd also appreciate a stronger palette in the material editor for better control over texture, depth, and colour. However it is minor niche items that would speed up process' the asset library is still an amazing tool to have in the belt. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Cassandra Trillhose of Enscape 3D

We're glad to hear that you value our asset library and material editor for communicating designs and achieving high-quality realism in your projects. We appreciate your feedback about the diversity of the asset library and the material editor, and we'll take it into consideration for future improvements. Thank you for taking the time to write your review Ross!

"Visualizing Architecture in Real-Time with Ease"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Enscape 3D?

WE use Enscape 3D for architecture projects and BIM models, and really appreciate the ability to visualize concepts in real time. It allows us to make decisions earlier and more consciously about ideas. WE like the continuous visual feedback it provides, as it helps us feel what's going to happen to our projects concerning sunlight, lighting and materials behavior. Also, the initial setup of Enscape 3D was super easy and intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Enscape 3D?

Although integration is a key point to Enscape 3D because it works as a plugin, its window should be able to fuse with our authoring tool (Archicad) for us to always use it. Enscape also needs more modes for conceptual phases and let reality come in later. BIM data needs to have some use, because nowadays it's just there... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly Solution for Realistic 3D Rendering"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Enscape 3D?

I use Enscape 3D for 3D still image render and video animation render as a 3D visualizer. It has helped me create somehow realistic renders with its asset library, material library, and editor. The lighting effects bring great and live effects to my 3D projects. I find it user-friendly, making it accessible even for a basic visualizer, and it's helped me since 2019 to create realistic renderings with animation, providing a great 3D output workflow for my clients. The best part is its superb render time. I switched from V-Ray to Enscape 3D because it is more user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Enscape 3D?

I think Enscape 3D could add more assets and materials. This would help me and other visualizers with our projects in the upcoming years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
