"Postgres for Kubernetes - an efficient way of operating DBs"
4/5
What do you like best about EDB Postgres AI for CloudNativePG?

We do not need to setup another VM for each Workload requiring a Relational DB. Setting up a EDB CNP is really easy now. Just by the input of some basic properties the operator spins up a Postgres Cluster on its own and in combination with the ClusterImageCatalog patching the Clusters is very easy since the operator is conducting a rolling restart of the pods on its own on updating the Catalog. We also like the many options the Operator already provides in configuring the Postgres Cluster. Cudos also to the Operator which has become much more stable since we started initially ~2 years ago. What do you dislike about EDB Postgres AI for CloudNativePG?

We are still missing major upgrades on the Clusters in a user friendly way. I know there is progress on EDB's Development making customers life more easy, but we are still eagerly awaiting it. The current solution based on replicating data to a new cluster with a higher major version is far too complicated and time consuming for a bunch of Clusters. Besides we are missing the ClusterImageCatalog formerly provided here https://raw.githubusercontent.com/EnterpriseDB/docker-postgresql/refs/heads/main/image-catalogs/ClusterImageCatalog-ubi9.yaml It was very handy to pull this Catalog and apply it to the Cluster using Terraform and with that triggering the operator to patch all Clusters. "Excellent PostgresSQL processing exchanging Data with other systems"
4/5
What do you like best about EDB Postgres AI for CloudNativePG?

We are using the Native Postgres SQL in order to store and process the Data from our CAQ Software and distributing the Data to other systems like ERP & MES. We have been using this approach for years with many clients and have never had problems or unscheduled downtimes. From another technical point of view, it supports a high number of Datatypes which is highly beneficial for building business rules. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about EDB Postgres AI for CloudNativePG?

Quality has its price. I wish there would be a price adjustment especially when we have a lot of subscriptions. Other than that, there is nothing I can complain about. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"There is not a more powerful and extensible open source relational database ."
4.5/5
What do you like best about EDB Postgres AI for CloudNativePG?

I like that I can integrate it directly with the kubernates API server for HA architecture without the need for an outside tool. I can also deploy replicas of PostgreSQL over multiple Kubernetes clusters to enable either public or multi-cloud architecture.

EDB cloud-native PostgreSQL is very extensible I have been able to scale it either up or down depending on the need at the time. I also love that it is so powerful; it is what attracted me to it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about EDB Postgres AI for CloudNativePG?

Everything about EDB cloud-native PostgreSQL has been quite satisfying except that configuring a service to avail Postgres through TCP for apps residing outside the Kubernetes is a bit challenging, making more tutorials on that would help. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
