"Seamless Moderation with Fantastic Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Discuss?

I love the share stem feature because it removes the hassle of finding stimuli on my desktop or computer since it's already loaded up, which takes a big level of stress out of the equation. The support folks have been fantastic, especially Juan Ronilla, who's amazing and made the initial setup very easy with a super self-explanatory tutorial session. Everything about Discuss is very self-explanatory and intuitive, simplifying adjustments while moderating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Discuss?

My understanding is they don't have audio embedded into decks which are slides. I think that's a big miss because a lot of times we do get stem that way from our clients, so that would be helpful if they could have that. That's the only thing I've noticed thus far. "Flexible Platform, But AI and Integration Need Improvement"
3/5
What do you like best about Discuss?

I really appreciate the flexibility of the platform and how it quickly and efficiently meets the needs of different requests. Discuss is particularly useful for small projects that require quick insights, and the flexibility of the platform really helps with that. It's also incredibly helpful in handling medium and larger projects, thanks to the support from the Discuss team, including project managers, moderators, and others. I like the platform's intuitive nature, making it easy to find insights from previous research and having AI analyze our work to find valuable correlations. Discuss has certainly helped save both time and money by avoiding the lengthy processes of traditional agencies, providing more flexibility for smaller projects. I find it very beneficial to run several projects simultaneously and navigate the different aspects of the system, whether we need full support with moderators or just a quick AI-driven insight. The agility and intuitiveness of Discuss simplify project management and help get more insights on more topics quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Discuss?

I think AI features can be improved. They can become more intuitive. The loading times, when you put in a request for the AI to search through all the previous research, could be shorter. On the broader scale, if quantitative research could be added, that would be fantastic. Discuss isn't integrated into any of our systems and integrating seems impossible, so we use it as a stand-alone tool. There are certain things Discuss cannot do, like quantitative research, which sometimes means our needs are not met. It also depends on how good your project manager is, and we've had a couple of hiccups along the way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Remote Interviews Made Easy with Discuss, but Mind the Occasional Call Drop"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Discuss?

I really appreciate the ability to get recordings so I can analyze them and share them with my team. It's great to have the backroom conversation and chat during meetings, and the use of visual stimuli to show participants is very effective. The tech support is also a big plus for me. Whenever there's a problem, they're there to assist. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Discuss?

I would say once or twice a day, I get a dropped call. So if I'm doing six hours of interviews, one or two of those interviews every day does have some audio problems. I know you can't control the Internet connection of all parties. But if I had to pick something, that would be my one complaint. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fantastic Customer Service and Intuitive Platform"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Discuss?

I find Discuss to be very helpful in creating a backroom viewing experience for my qual 1:1 interviews along with tech support and respondent support, and it handles compliance sign-offs well. The customer service is fantastic, and I really appreciate that. The platform itself is pretty intuitive, and if there's a feature that doesn't exist, the product team is very open to adding various functionality. The initial setup of Discuss was very simple, and the team is fantastic. I also love our customer success manager, Thomas. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Discuss?

Audio sometimes can be tough if someone wants to call in and use headphones because the transcript doesn't pick it up. Also, the AI moderation process can be sticky for recruiters with the PII gathered. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The most effective way to streamline value analysis"
5/5
What do you like best about Discuss?

There are tools that simplify the work, but there are others that take it to the next level. Discuss is one of them, with a strong focus on analysis and illustration—something that makes all the difference when it comes to qualitative evaluations. We’re not looking for numbers, but for meaningful content, and that’s exactly what Discuss delivers in a well-organized way. On top of that, its intuitive interface and ease of use allow teams to focus on insights rather than logistics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Discuss?

Despite being a very powerful tool, its licensing model requires a robust package for different user profiles to truly benefit from the system. It could offer a lighter licensing option to allow smaller agencies or business groups with fewer resources to access the best possible insights. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Kendra Gray of Discuss

Hi Pedro,

Thanks so much for taking the time to share this review. We're glad to hear that Discuss is helping you move beyond just collecting data and rather delivering the kind of insights that actually drive action. That's exactly what we're here for.

You called out something we care deeply about: making it easy for teams to focus on what really matters. When the tech stays out of your way, you can stay focused on the human stories behind the data, and turn those into smarter decisions.

We also appreciate your feedback and suggestion on the licensing! Your input adds real weight to our teams conversations, and we appreciate you being direct about it.

Thanks again for being a part of the Discuss community. We look forward to continuing to support your work and evolving with your needs!

"Enhances research observations with ease"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Discuss?

I appreciate the observer stream in Discuss that resolves issues you might face with regular video chat services, like participants seeing the observers. My favorite feature is being able to clip moments as an observer to highlight specific things participants say. The 'back-room' chat is also great for moderators and observers to chat together. It's great for allowing observers to get the most out of the research work, enabling the addition of notes, asking for specific prompts, and clipping relevant moments effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Discuss?

I'm not sure how the moment-clipping looks on the back-end, so maybe if that could be any easier to parse, it would be helpful? Really just improving on the things they're already doing and making them smoother is good, but I don't think it's wise to add too many bells & whistles. I think Discuss has a good thing going right now and shouldn't over-complicate itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jackie Holiwell of Discuss

Hi Ronnie,

Thanks so much for sharing your experience! It’s great to hear how much you’re getting out of the observer view, moment clipping, and back-room chat. That whole experience is meant to make it easier for teams to stay involved and actually use what’s happening in the session, so it’s nice to know it’s working well for you!

We’re glad you called out the importance of keeping things simple. We want to improve what’s already there without making the platform feel heavy.

Glad it’s helping your team stay connected to the research and pull out the insights that matter!

"Intuitive Platform for Fast, Flexible Interview Setup"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Discuss?

Discuss is an intuitive platform that lets us quickly set up interviews and move through the process at our own pace. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Discuss?

The only issue I’ve run into when using Discuss is that tech support requires 24–48 hours’ advance notice. That said, it hasn’t been an impediment to getting work done, even when we’ve needed to operate without support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jackie Holiwell of Discuss

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience! We're glad to hear that the platform's intuitive setup and flexible pacing are working well for your team. That's exactly what we're going for.

We appreciate your candid feedback on tech support lead times. It's something we're actively working to improve, and we're glad it hasn't slowed you down. Your team's ability to keep things moving is a testament to how you've made the platform your own.

It's great to hear that session moderation, observer access, and scheduling are delivering the speed and flexibility you need! That kind of frictionless workflow is what Discuss is built for, and feedback like yours helps us keep raising the bar.

Thanks again for being part of the Discuss community. We're looking forward to supporting your research for a long time to come.

"High-Quality Video, Seamless Collaboration Experience"
5/5
What do you like best about Discuss?

As an observer of the User Research, I love how the video and audio are high quality. The app the user is asked to use is fast and I could tell it has little or no learning curve. I also loved how the internal chat feature worked so I could talk with the moderator and other observers seamlessly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Discuss?

As an observer, I had no issues with the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jackie Holiwell of Discuss

Hi Evan,

Thank you for sharing your feedback! It’s great to hear how natural the experience felt for you as an observer, especially the clear video and audio and how easy it was for participants to jump in without a learning curve.

We’re glad the internal chat made it easy to stay connected with the moderator and other observers during the session. Those small moments of coordination can make a big difference when you’re watching research unfold live.

We also love what you shared about hearing voices and seeing faces, not just walking away with quotes or charts - that kind of exposure helps broader teams and leadership build real understanding, and it’s exactly what we hope Discuss supports!

"Empowers Global Understanding with Seamless AI Support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Discuss?

I use Discuss to offer online consumer conversations and connections for my colleagues, allowing them to talk directly to people across markets to understand their everyday lives. It helps us to understand people in different countries and cultures that we cannot get to experience in person. I like the great account service in the planning and during the interviews themselves, as well as the quick turnaround and good value. I appreciate having access to all interview videos and transcripts and the AI tool for summaries, which surfaces relevant content to answer specific questions. I particularly enjoy the in-the-moment experience of talking to people online and how the AI tools allow me to analyse all the conversations to look for recurring themes. The initial setup was easy.
