What I appreciate most about D2L Brightspace is its stability. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the system remained fully operational without any failures. The post-sales support is efficient, with a strong partnership to assist clients with their projects. Additionally, the integration with various applications is a great advantage, and I’m exploring the BI features to create data dashboards.

What I dislike is the efficiency of the new data set system, which has yet to be proven. This forces me to consider creating APIs or purchasing additional tools. Moreover, the absence of an integrated video system is an issue, as it requires the client to contract a separate service.

Give it a chance, don't look at the value of the proposal but rather the benefits you can have. Then talk to a D2L consultant and negotiate the price. But first, try it out. I've had more than 3000 users online using the system at the same time and the system didn't even show any slowness. Of course, I coordinated with D2L support, which was efficient and ensured that no slowness occurred.

I see that the integration of new tools such as educational technology support like H5P and artificial intelligence, however, they still don't benefit me as they are a package to be purchased separately.

In addition to the solutions provided by D2L, I believe it is important to highlight the quality of support and service, which I consider essential. As a client, I feel extremely secure and comfortable knowing that my ideas, concerns, suggestions, and questions, whether technical or not, are always heard and analyzed with attention. This level of support is fundamental for a successful strategic partnership, and D2L manages to offer this in an exceptional manner.

The solutions are good and when necessary, the support is very agile and assertive. I can't think of anything that displeases me.

Currently, D2L primarily supports us with its LMS solution, which will be the foundation for my innovation projects in the LLF area. In addition to the traditional functionalities of an LMS, D2L stands out by offering us support for innovative initiatives, such as the implementation of digital micro-certifications in a native and easy way.

D2L Brightspace offers several advantages that make it a useful tool for online education such as an Intuitive and Easy-to-Use Interface, Flexibility in Customization, Advanced Assessment Tools, Accessibility and Mobile Compatibility, Integration with Other Tools, Analytics and Reporting, Support for Inclusion and Diversity, Collaboration and Communication.

These advantages make D2L Brightspace a powerful option for educational institutions and organizations looking to improve the quality and effectiveness of online learning.

The disadvantage of using D2L Brightspace is that it does not have an integrated tool to detect plagiarism or the use of AI compared to other online learning platforms.

Not having a tool to detect plagiarism or the use of AI like SafeAssign in Blackboard Collaborate or Unicheck in Canvas, to cite two examples.

D2L Brightspace has been a powerful tool that has helped modernize the Anáhuac University Querétaro, with constant updates that improve the experience of our users. Updates are constantly applied to help teachers and students have a simpler and more organic use, to digitize and automate processes.

At Anáhuac University Querétaro, we have promoted the constant use of the platform to upload content, develop activities, use the grade center, take attendance, and have records of progress and competency fulfillment of our students. All of this helps us have the necessary evidence for different accreditation processes, internal quality control, etc.

Although it is not something inherent to the platform, I believe there is a need for more in-person meetings for LATAM where we can share experiences and meet providers that have integrations with D2L Brightspace.

Regarding the use of licenses, I would like a monthly usage report by type of licensing to be provided, as sometimes there is little visibility and the costs can become very high.

I am pleased that generative AI is being integrated into various processes and tools, as I believe it can be very beneficial for teachers to reduce the time spent on content creation, questions, rubrics, etc.

Although we do not currently have the full acquisition of this version, the implementation of Creator+ (from the demo offered by D2L) seems very interesting to me, as all the interactive work tools are within the platform, are easy to configure, and are quite fun and useful, even for university students. However, something that concerns me is the potential technical failures when a course is exported, for example from one instance to another; considering that one was created with Creator+ and the other did not have it contracted.

How do the exam questions have to be created if they can become more automated in some way since it is done one by one. In addition to how some home page templates are populated (for content creation), these templates are complicated to edit.

To date, it is the most straightforward and most efficient educational platform that I have used to guide student learning and to transmit any knowledge that allows an evaluation of learning consistent with current times where distance is no longer an obstacle to education.

The use of the rubrics for the qualification of the works is very good. Topics can be ordered in a friendly way with the class structure. These two elements allow a learning path for students to be created.

D2L has significantly enhanced the learning experience for our students at SAE Mexico. The platform's user-friendly interface and robust set of tools have made it easier for both instructors and students to engage in the learning process. Features such as discussion boards, assignment submission, and integrated grading have streamlined many of the day-to-day tasks, allowing our faculty to focus more on teaching rather than administrative duties. Overall, D2L has been a valuable asset in supporting our educational goals and improving the overall student experience.

While D2L has many strong points, there are some areas where it could improve to better serve the needs of SAE Mexico and our students. One significant challenge we've encountered is the limited storage space for assignment submissions, which has been a particular issue since our students often need to upload large files, such as multimedia projects and design portfolios. This limitation has occasionally caused delays and frustrations. However, we are actively working with D2L support to resolve this issue and explore solutions that will better accommodate our students' needs.

D2L Brightspace is addressing several key challenges in our educational environment at SAE Mexico, particularly in streamlining course management and enhancing student engagement. The platform solves problems related to organizing course content, tracking student progress, and facilitating communication between instructors and students. With its centralized system, Brightspace allows for efficient assignment submissions, grading, and feedback, reducing the administrative burden on our faculty. This, in turn, allows them to focus more on delivering high-quality education.
