One of its greatest strengths is flexibility. Brightspace offers multiple tools that facilitate autonomous learning: interactive calendars, personalized learning paths, immediate feedback on assessments, and an internal communication system that streamlines interaction between students and teachers.

It also excels in its inclusive approach. The platform incorporates accessibility features that allow students with different learning styles or specific needs to fully participate in the educational process. This contributes to a more equitable and efficient academic environment.

In terms of teaching management, Brightspace offers solid options for creating engaging content, monitoring student progress, and evaluating in a clear and structured way. Its ability to integrate multimedia files and external tools turns each course into a dynamic and motivating space.

I'm a teacher with almost 20 years of experience, but this is my first time with Brightspace. I really like how easy it is to navigate the interface. As a previous user of other LMS, I find Brightspace's design very pretty and intuitive. I had no trouble designing my class and I could (only with the help of tutorials) set up dates, attendance lists, assignments, evaluations, and more.

Also, I love the way everyone at support service keeps in touch with us, letting us know the status of our cases. They, very kindly, make sure the problem is solved. By the way, I find the ASC Support Portal very easy to use to create a case and keep track of the process too.

Something that can improve about Brightspace, I think, is the integration of certain encrypted content (forms, videos, or presentations) from other pages, which —sometimes— are not compatible. And, it would be fantastic to be able to have our online classes from the same platform.

Brightspace is our LSM platform for graduate and postgraduate programs. It gives us a very formal, institutional, and innovative approach to our educational process. It also provides insights about our students' and teachers' development and milestones throughout the academic cycle.

I have been administrating DL2 Brightspace since 2022, in two different institutions. The platform is easy to use and integrates well with other systems. What I like the most about DL2 is the support that is offered to the community.

I think Brightspace has too many blank spaces that can't be filled. I would like to have more features to fill the blank spaces with images and colors, so I can make a better-looking digital space for the students in my institution and to encourage them to use Brightspace with more frequency.

The institution I work for needed a platform where the students could have access to academic calendars and classes contents. DL2 Brightspace is meeting very well all the needs.

D2L's greatest strength lies in how easily we can track the academic progress of students throughout their entire academic journey. Being able to visualize daily the progress of learners enables greater involvement from both teachers and institutions, ensuring a just-in-time experience and better control over student dropout rates.

D2L could improve its internal organizational structure when building courses. Being so used to Google’s structure, there’s a significant discomfort when working on the course creation setup.

The two major problems I was able to solve with D2L were the unification of multiple higher education institutions (HEIs) into a single environment, each with its own customized visual identity, and the improvement of student tracking, something I couldn't achieve with Canvas.

Pre-sale and post-sale support was and is fundamental to the success of the project. The ease of use and innovation of the platform surprises us.

After familiarizing myself with the platform, the practical and intuitive handling of the virtual environment are the things I value most in using D2L Brightspace. In my opinion, it offers many advantages compared to other virtual environments I have used as a student and later as a teacher, among them I highlight the variety and effectiveness of the interaction tools, and the excellent educational resources, which significantly contribute to engaging students by providing a more autonomous and complete learning process.

One of the few things I would change in D2L is the way some tools' commands are finalized within the platform, since once the command is saved in certain tools, there is no longer the possibility to undo such a command.

D2L Brightspace offers a virtual environment of quality and excellence for our institution, which makes the experience of students and teachers very favorable for solving problems related to the use of multiple tools, integrating and centralizing everything in a single accessible and personalized environment, which enables quick interaction and communication, and excellently solves problems of feedback on activities and assessments, for example.

D2L Brightspace is a platform that allows for the creation of very efficient learning experiences that are also pleasant and engaging for students. Additionally, its administration is easy and allows for a significant number of customizations.

I realize that it would be important to implement improvements with Gen AI, and also offer resources, such as completion tracking, in a simple and easy way for all users, allowing it to be easy to see on the course homepage widget card whether the content of the offer is completed or if there are still more activities to be done. I also believe that the option to export some reports in PDF, such as class progress, and evaluation and survey charts, would be alternative methods highly appreciated by customers.

By presenting and implementing D2L with the clients I serve in my consultancy, we are able to speed up the implementation, facilitate management, and create visual and navigation experiences that excite users, while at the same time reassuring administrators about what is being done.
