"Good LMS"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?

CSOD is a good LMS that can integrate with other programs. This integration benefits a company by providing "Add-ons" that will enable tracking of employees' engagement and learning no matter the program you deliver training. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?

Cornerstone has numerous teams working on multiple platforms within the LMS. This multi-team approach lends itself to inconsistencies throughout the program. This means that an action (e.g., hitting the back arrow) will work for one area of the LMS, but if you try it in a different location, you will not get the same results. It gets frustrating as an administrator. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Cornerstone Learning is great for our Learning Needs and has so many great training materials."

What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?

Cornerstone Learning allows us to create custom learning content as well as purchase online content from vendors. There is a variety of different subject materials available to choose from. We can assign training in bulk for Compliance Training. We can customize a variety of things to work for us. I also LOVE that they have a Client Success Center where you can get ideas and discuss topics with other clients. They have so much training available to help system administrators as well. What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?

I have not really found anything that I dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good LMS getting better, but still with some significant flaws"
3.5/5
Describe the project or task Cornerstone Learning helped with:

We implemented Cornerstone as our enterprise-wide LMS a couple of years ago. We use it to replace a slew of different LMSs and CMSs we had been using to host our e-learning content across the organization, to provide one platform for accessing all non-video e-learning content, as well as some of our video-based e-learning content. We use it for a range of content from the mandatory compliance e-courses, to department/role-specific content, professional and personal development content, etc. I also like that Cornerstone does continue to work to improve their product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?

I like that Cornerstone is fairly full-featured and supports all of the standards from AICC all the way up to xAPI. The playlist feature is very helpful, as are the features for sending automated emails, reports, etc.. I also like that managers can assign learning to their reports and that learners receive customized suggestions for additional learning they might be interested in, based on assets they've used on the platform already. Publishing a new e-course isn't too difficult (unless you get into using a lot of the customizable features, like complicated assignments, etc.) and the search features and filters generally work well, too.

"Cornerstone - Invest to get the best"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?

I like that the end-user experience. It is decently simple. It is also a very simple experience uploading SCORM compliant eLearning. The tracking is fairly simple, and it wouldn't take a LOT of skill to begin using Cornerstone. The transcript with the most recent upgrades is a lot more intuitive. It's nice that it is interconnected. I appreciate that there is a lot that the product can do, even if my particular company does not have the budget to purchase the items that enhance and integrate them into the company culture. If you include add-ins/integrations, there is not much that Cornerstone can't work personnel-wise. I will also note that they are currently making many upgrades and that some of my primary issues are slowly but surely being taken care of, but very slowly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?

As an admin, there are a lot of little items that come to mind with this question.

1. There isn't a way to run a conference with multiple concurrent sessions that the user can only choose one of for a time slot. It's strange that

2. There are a few different admin functions that are a bit cumbersome and could easily be enhanced.

3. I would like more interaction from user to user within Learning. Interaction can be added with a different module.

4. I was told by a rep that the certifications are a mess and that I shouldn't use them. We use curriculum instead, which are equally frustrating to reversion.

5. The breadcrumbs don't work perfectly.

6. It indicates you can have two windows open, but it does rather strange things if you do. Ex: I had someone working in two different courses at once, and when the saved it wrote the name over one of them so both courses were called the same name. This took so long to figure out who had attended what, mainly because it went at least one session before they noticed that now two courses were named the same thing.

7. No built-in Accommodation Request Features. It's inaccessible, and that's a problem.

7b. Custom Forms can't fully fix accessibility issues because the custom form emails lack a HUGE amount of necessary information, like the requestor name, class, date and time, etc. The workarounds within Cornerstone are VERY time-consuming.

8. Email Triggers only work in specific emails, so you can't create logical flows that make sense in Cornerstone.

9. HTML doesn't function well in the system without an additional fix that is mostly paperwork. HTML code appears in descriptions regularly.

10. For live learning platforms like Teams, Zoom, Adobe connect, etc, there is an add-on to add functionality into the system. Each one costs money. There is no way for you to just go into Cornerstone and just indicate the link for users no matter the platform. It should be a field.

11. As a site admin for many different sites throughout my career, I don't love that as a company admin, I don't have full rights to the site. I can see or work with the code, I can't even run a report for all people in my agency who have additional security rights. That's such a simple function that you have to go through cornerstone tech for.

12. Could be more actively engaged in Accessibility Measures such as settings that allow the user to adjust colors or settings for the end user etc. Video Captioning would also be very helpful for the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Product with endless features and functionality!"
4/5
What do you like best about Cornerstone Learning?

I love the user experience. It is clear and easy to navigate.

The gamification component is a real game-changer for our organization! I love how robust the system is.

There is a test feature built-in. You can also create course evaluations Level 1 - 4. Assigned learning appears front and center for learners to see. This is a helpful feature to direct learners to where they need to focus their attention.

There are also tons of email notifications that can be turned on and customized to suit your needs.

Overall, we have been quite pleased with the product. We are about to implement Performance which we are very excited about! I am really looking forward to aligning our learning and performance systems which were not able to do with our previous vendor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Cornerstone Learning?

The implementation experience can make or break you. Make sure you sign on with a great implementation team.

If you are a small company. It might be to your benefit to create a role specifically dedicated to this system. As it is very robust you will need someone to take time to learn and be comfortable with the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
