"Robust Network Security with Room for Improvement"
4/5
What do you like best about CheckPoint?

I like CheckPoint's layered threat prevention architecture, which brings together firewall, IPS, Anti-Bot, Anti-Virus, and sandboxing into one unified security framework as blade systems. I also appreciate the detailed logging and smart event reporting capabilities that offer strong visibility into traffic patterns, threat activity, and compliance posture, making audits and incident investigations more structured and data-driven. The logging and event correlation capabilities significantly improve our incident response workflow, allowing us to trace suspicious IP activity, identify blocked versus allowed traffic patterns, and analyze IPS triggers and malware signatures. What do you dislike about CheckPoint?

Most of the time, if the customer uploads password-protected bank statements over our portal, CheckPoint's sandboxing doesn't work and passes them. There are limitations with CheckPoint's VPN client, as it is not supported in Linux environments. We had to use TAC support because the CheckPoint knowledge base guidelines are not user-friendly for first-time users. When setting up with CloudFormation, if parameters are not checked properly, the deployment needs to be recreated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Strong, dependable security with simple and centralized management"
5/5
What do you like best about CheckPoint?

What I like best about Check Point is how reliable and easy it is to work with. The security features are strong, especially the firewall and threat prevention, and at the same time the management console is very user-friendly. It makes monitoring, troubleshooting, and applying policies much simpler, which really helps in day-to-day operations. Overall, it gives a good balance of strong security and ease of management, which I really appreciate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CheckPoint?

What I dislike about Check Point is that it can feel a bit complex and heavy at times, especially during the initial setup or for new users. The licensing model can also be confusing, and some features require more tuning to get the best performance. Additionally, hardware and support costs can be on the higher side compared to other vendors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
