"Strong Multi-Cloud Security with Centralized Management and Powerful Automation"
5/5
What do you like best about Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security)?

What I like most about Check Point Cloud Firewall is its strong security capabilities combined with centralized management across multiple cloud environments. It provides advanced threat prevention, granular access control, and excellent visibility into network traffic. The integration with public cloud platforms is smooth, making it easier to enforce consistent security policies across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. The user interface is intuitive, logging and monitoring are comprehensive, and the automation features help reduce manual effort while improving overall security posture. What do you dislike about Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security)?

While Check Point Cloud Firewall offers strong security features, the initial setup and configuration can be complex, especially for teams that are new to the platform. The management console has a learning curve, and troubleshooting policy-related issues can sometimes take longer than expected. Licensing and pricing can also be expensive for smaller organizations. Improving the user interface, simplifying deployment, and providing more intuitive documentation and guided configuration would make the overall experience much better. "Reliable Cloud Network Security with Strong Visibility"
4/5
What do you like best about Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security)?

What I like best is the visibility and control it gives over our cloud network. I can see exactly what traffic is flowing, enforce consistent security policies, and catch potential threats before they become a problem—all from a single, centralized platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security)?

The main downside is the initial setup and learning curve. It takes time to understand all the features and configure policies correctly, especially if you’re new to Check Point or cloud networking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive Traffic Control with a Learning Curve"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security)?

I like how easy it is to manage all our network rules in one place instead of juggling different tools. It also gives clear visibility into traffic, which makes it much easier to spot and fix issues quickly. Having everything in one place saves a lot of time. Instead of jumping between different cloud tools, we can update rules, review logs, and troubleshoot issues from a single dashboard, which makes day to day work much smoother. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security)?

Some parts feel more complicated than they need to be, especially when setting up or fine-tuning policies. It can take a bit of trial and error to get everything working the way we want. Policy setup can feel a bit layered, especially when you are trying to understand how different rules interact. It would help if there were clearer guidance or examples built into the workflow, so you don't have to rely as much on documentation or trial and error. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like Check Point CloudGuard Network Security because it's easy to use and effectively keeps my network safe from threats. It works fast and doesn't slow down my work. What do you dislike about Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security)?

What doesn't work as well for me is that sometimes it takes a bit of time to set up new rules when I need to make changes quickly. Also, the reports could be simpler to understand. Those are the main things I'd like to see improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Cloud Guard: A One-Stop, Continuously Updated Security Solution"
5/5
What do you like best about Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security)?

Cloud Guard is one stop shop for all security related aspects of the webapplication or networking bit.

Best part is that CloudGuard keep updates the rules or security protocols and configurations regularly that enhances the security and reduces the blast radius significantly.

Manual configuration or tuning required to be very minimal. And its dashboarding features across different layers makes everyones life easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security)?

Initial configuration and integrating with your organisation EDN will be rigid and somewhat tedious process initially.

For beginners it would really take quite some time to root through all the options it has considering its powerful nature across security aspects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized Cloud Security with a Learning Curve"
4/5
What do you like best about Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security)?

I like how Check Point Cloud Firewall strikes a balance between strong security and ease of management. It provides comprehensive visibility into network traffic and cloud workloads, making it much easier to identify potential risks and investigate issues before they become serious problems. I also appreciate the centralized control it offers over network security, allowing us to enforce policies consistently and gain better visibility into traffic flows. Additionally, the integration with other tools like Microsoft Sentinel as our primary SIEM platform and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint helps us correlate network-level threats with endpoint-level activity, which is really beneficial for our security operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security)?

The initial setup and configuration can be quite complex, especially for organizations that are new to cloud security or have multi-cloud environments. Some advanced features also require a deeper learning curve before teams can take full advantage of them. When we first deployed Check Point Cloud Firewall in our environment, the initial configuration of security policies and rules sets took considerably longer than expected. For teams without prior Check Point experience, mapping existing on-premises firewall rules to the cloud environment required significant planning and expertise. A more guided, wizard-driven setup process for common deployment scenarios, particularly for AWS and Azure environments, would have reduced that initial friction considerably. Honestly, the initial setup of Check Point Cloud Firewall was one of the more challenging aspects of the overall deployment. I would rate it moderately complex, and I think it's important to be transparent about that for any organisation considering the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Enterprise-Grade Cloud Security That Just Works"
4/5
What do you like best about Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security)?

When we started using Check Point CloudGuard Network Security, what struck me right away was how quickly we got solid, enterprise‑level protection without having to tear apart our existing cloud setup. Everything was up and running smoothly, and it just worked.

What I like most is that it brings together firewalling, intrusion prevention, and advanced threat protection all in one place. Whether we’re dealing with workloads in the cloud or on‑prem, the policies stay consistent and easy to manage. The management console also deserves a mention cause it’s super clear and having everything visible from one dashboard really saves time day to day.

Also, the auto scaling feature is really good, It automatically keeps up so the security layer never becomes a bottleneck, and, to be honest, It just runs in the background catching issues and anomalies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Check Point Cloud Firewall (formerly CloudGuard Network Security)?

The main thing of Check Point CloudGuard Network Security is that is not very beginner-friendly. If you think about smaller teams or people who don't have any previous experience. The initial setup can feel complex and requires some time to fully understand the different things like routing options or blades.

All this things compared to the pricing, that is definitely on the higher side compared to some cloud-native alternatives, so It's an investment that needs to be justified by a serious security requirement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
