Delighted and impressed **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Cory D. | Network Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** June 27, 2024 **What do you like best about Centripetal CleanINTERNET ®?** The Centripetal team goes above and beyond to make implementation of their equipment quick and easy. They also do a fantastic job of presenting a clear view of the traffic in and out of the network, statistics of what is blocked and allowed, and individual points of consern. I would recommend RuleGate and the CleanINTERNET service to anyone serious about thier network's security. **What do you dislike about Centripetal CleanINTERNET ®?** So far, I have found nothing that I dislike about Centripetal or their CleanINTERNET service. **What problems is Centripetal CleanINTERNET ® solving and how is that benefiting you?** A zero-day vulnerability allowed a threat actor into our network where they staged data exfultration and then execution of ransomware. With the implementation of the CleanINTERNET service, I can see a drastic decline in the traffic probing our network from the Internet and feel much more safe knowing that they are monitoring the traffic that is still allowed. ### 2. The amount of threats that are blocked by default is comforting but more importantly, the continuous, automated blocking of new threats gives us more piece of mind. We are too small to have our own SOC and many of the other outsourced SOC providers are simply out of our range. I feel that Centripetal provides a good medium solution. We have turned on automatic blocking of new threats mainly because on the rare occassions that something legitimate does get blocked, support responds in minutes and resolves the issue. In some cases, when a site that we use has been blocked, it was for legitmate reasons and we were able to report that back to the site owner and they were able to resolve an issue before it became larger. **What do you dislike about Centripetal CleanINTERNET ®?** The only feature that Centripetal does not currently have is the ability to auto isolate a specific host. However, most traffic from a potentially troubled host is blocked at the demarc level, so that has not been an issue for us. Centripetal is just one of the layers of protection and it does it's job well. **What problems is Centripetal CleanINTERNET ® solving and how is that benefiting you?** Centripetal provides us with proactive edge security and with their weekly executive reporting, helps our non-technical executive staff see the threats that we are facing in nearly real time. This helps to justify security spend. In a small organization every dollar is important and unfortunately security is one of the areas that is always being looked at since it is not directly driving additional revenue, rather protecting the revenue that is already being realized. Centripetal is a crucial piece of security for us and the reporting is excellent for justification purposes. ### 3. You literally assign an IP address and connect some ethernet cables. It can passively monitor prior to setting hard blocking. This is the most effortless and effective security tool to work with. Working with Centripetal you can have more involvement and use of the tool if you have the staff and desire. In two years of use we have only had a few false positives. It just works! **What do you dislike about Centripetal CleanINTERNET ®?** Absolutely nothing. Other than a handful of false positives which Centripetal quickly resolved this system requires so little effort. **What problems is Centripetal CleanINTERNET ® solving and how is that benefiting you?** On premise network security. Our system blocks > 40,000 events per day. Does not require security expertise on site. Provides the highest level of confidence with the least amount of effort. No agents to install and maintain, no constant whitelisting. Frees up IT and Security staff to focus on other issues. ### 4. Its not impressive how slowly it resolves and requires effort to use. **What do you dislike about Centripetal CleanINTERNET ®?** The reporting provided by Centripetal is not good, for justifying our actions but lacks in-depth analysis of the detected threats. This makes it difficult to comprehend the severity and potential impact these threats have on our organization. **What problems is Centripetal CleanINTERNET ® solving and how is that benefiting you?** Centripetal CleanINTERNET is unable to solve the problems related to security. It provides a solution that does not protect us from cyber threats and malware attacks. This does not ensure the safety of our data and decreases our reputation and trustworthiness, in the eyes of our valued customers. ### 5.
