Boardable has helped our organization streamline our communications, simplify our meeting scheduling, more easily publish meeting agendas and archive meeting minutes. It has also helped us create a more robust library of board and organization documents - a big upgrade over the previous 'board binders' that were constantly out of date.

We've been using Boardable for over a year and can't imagine meetings without it. All our committee and board meetings are paperless; all of our directors appreciate the ease of logging in and getting the meetings and documents they need at any time. We even have our policies and board manual in the documents so it's in one location and can be updated easily. It's helped us shave time off of our meetings and allowed directors to remote in when traveling much easier than before.

No real downsides; easy and efficient for even our tech challenged volunteers.

Being able to give permissions has been helpful so that volunteers are only seeing the meeting materials they need. The guest function is also great to give guest speakers access and has come in handy. No more multiple copies of multiple reports; one change in boardable ensures all our volunteers are looking at the latest data.

One item I have suggested they improve is that the calendar integration does not sync replies, so a meeting stays on your external calendar whether you have RSVPd yes or no. Support says they have put this in as a possible future upgrade.

I highly recommend taking advantage of the free trial; I set it up for myself as the admin and my CEO as a user, and we tested all the functions as well as used it for a normal committee meeting during that time. It gave us a great idea just how easy it was and whether it suited our needs.

Benefits realized: So far, this is on the admin side. Meeting prep, Agenda creation, taking Minutes, Polling the Board members...all this has been so easy that I am realizing a great time savings. We have only been using Boardable for a month, and it has taken some time to get all members using it, so we haven't yet realized full benefits on the user side.

I love that all documents, meetings, rosters, minutes etc can be housed on Boardable. It makes it so much easier to communicate with my board and for my board members to connect with each other. I love how Boardable makes everything having to do with my board so much easier.

Benefits are: I can put out information 1 time and it's done. It save so much time and is a great way for my board members to get what they need exactly when they need it. No more late night phone calls asking for the minutes, an agenda or the phone number to a colleague. I believe that Boardable empowers my board to be a better version of themselves.

Everything the board needs is stored in one location. I also really like the ease of taking minutes since it gives you an agenda template to work through.

When you open a document, it downloads it to your computer. I'd prefer to just open it, since I already have it on my computer it makes an other copy.

Efficiency in board communications.

Board portals are incredible tools and boardable just does it right. I wish that I had been using a tool like this for my whole career. No more email strings and we now have a centralized source of truth and history. Any board not using this is wasting time and money. Just sign up and get started!

Better communication, streamlined process for getting info to board members.

The best part about Boardable is that it allows me to do everything Board related on the same place. From organizing a meeting, and creating the agenda to keeping the files my board needs in the same place.

I wished for a while that we could do meeting minutes right on the platform, but now we can.

It has everything the other guys have at a more affordable price. It's easy to use and your Board will love it.

Having all my Board information in one place. Before everything was in multiple platforms, which makes it difficult for my Board to manage. Now they know that when it comes to us, they can go to Boardable to find the answer.

The tools for creating the agenda and the minutes are big time savers.

The discussions section is a great way to hash things out before a meeting at the members leisure.

The polls are a great way to have a permanent record of Board decisions.

The inability to create links to document folders to make it easy for the members to get to the documents they need to review.

The lack of a save button in the minute taker. Since there was not one, I assumed it was auto-saving and lost two hours of work.

I wish that the polls could actually be attached to the agenda item they pertain to.

If you have non-tech savvy people on your Board, they may struggle a bit with finding what they need.

Volunteer time saver. Our organization is 100% Volunteer Powered and everything we can do to make the tasks easier to accomplish is a big plus for us.

The greatest benefit has been having all board documents at member's fingertips. We have also seen our board meetings become much more efficient.

Setting up the board agenda has been a challenge. I have made some suggestions and the Boardable staff is looking into those suggestions. One was allowing the organizer to put the clock time on the meeting rather than the agenda item duration. Or both.

Boardable allows us to keep all board documents in one place which has helped with leadership transitions. It has also made our meeting much more efficient.

I love that Boardable is so user-friendly and affordable. Our board is comprised of volunteers as we are not-for-profit. Therefore, we are very conscious of their time and our expenses. Boardable does everything we need it to do and does it very efficiently.

I wish there was a chat/virtual meeting ability. My board can't always get together when I need a quick vote on something with a good audit trail.
