"Powerful Outbound Threat Blocking and Effective Geo-Blocking for WFH Security"
5/5
What do you like best about BlackFog?

Its ability to block outbound traffic that normal AntiVirus and NextGen AV don't detect. Their geo-blocking is great to keep traffic onshore in a dispersed WFH environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BlackFog?

With geo-blocking, you get unexpected blocks with the rise of CDN systems. You'd think that small, local banks or companies would be safe to use in the US, but find overseas traffic. Sometimes the amount of alerts can be overwhelming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent Support and Flexible Blocking Controls"
4.5/5
What do you like best about BlackFog?

Great support, and the blocking features are excellent. The ability to set global blocks as well as individual group-level blocks and allows gives us much-needed flexibility and customization. The AI is getting there too; it just needs to keep up with the continually added LLMs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BlackFog?

Somewhat misleading reporting. With Vision, the logging and blocking need refinement so non-technical and executive users can clearly understand what’s being captured. Right now it’s hard to distinguish actual AI/LLM usage from cases where someone simply opens a web browser and a Copilot block gets logged. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Darren Williams of BlackFog

Thanks for your input. BlackFog reports on the 10 Frontier LLM's and is evolving very fast. It also detects when third party applications use any of these LLM's. A good example is SalesForce that uses Cohere. Reporting is also constantly evolving and our next iteration will add more executive level reports in addition to the more technical ones we have now.

"Reliable Data Security with Outstanding Support"
5/5
What do you like best about BlackFog?

I greatly appreciate BlackFog’s exceptional service and product quality. The software stands out as fantastic, providing a level of performance that is thoroughly satisfying. Its user-friendly interface and support staff are incredibly friendly and easy to work with, which greatly enhances the overall experience. The straightforward setup, with substantial assistance from the BlackFog team, made the initial deployment seamless. The software effectively addresses critical issues like data security for various clients, including those in the legal, medical, and insurance fields, which is crucial for my managed service packages. Additionally, the deployment process and the management console are highly efficient, particularly with the new tenant function. This feature significantly simplifies client management and deployment processes. Overall, I'm impressed with the value BlackFog offers, making it a choice I'm likely to repurchase and recommend enthusiastically. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Product and Great Staff"
5/5
What do you like best about BlackFog?

BlackFog has been great at stopping/Identifying digital threats on our systems. It was very quick and easy to deploy and it provides many customizable options for various browsers and operating systems like Windows or Mac with global options as well as per device on a friendly UI. I love that the solution will cut network access on the device if it detects any program or applet running out of the norm and stopping it before it can send the info out or spread on the network. The customer support has also been stellar and very quick to respond to the few issues or questions I've had. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BlackFog?

Nothing to dislike about the program or its function. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Information Security Enhancement with Minimal Performance Impact"
5/5
What do you like best about BlackFog?

I like that BlackFog quietly and effectively goes about its business with minimal interruption to the end user and has a minimal install footprint and performance impact. The ADX Vision feature is particularly useful as it allows me to understand the use of Shadow AI across my user base, which is vital for ensuring that data does not leave our environment through inappropriate AI usage. The initial setup of BlackFog was also very easy, as it automatically deploys when a device enrolls in our MDM. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BlackFog?

I would like the ability to schedule reports to be delivered at regular intervals to my inbox, rather than having to log in and run them manually once a month. Options to integrate the threat logging with a SIEMs would be useful too/ Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Darren Williams of BlackFog

Thanks for your input. The reporting feature is on the roadmap for release in the first halh of 2026.

I find BlackFog incredibly beneficial in ensuring the security of our files by preventing exfiltration. The ease of setup is particularly impressive—it was straightforward and involved simply deploying a client to each device. I also appreciate how lightweight BlackFog is; it's easy to use and doesn't generate many false positives or unnecessary blocks. The software fits well with our security needs, and I would definitely consider purchasing it again. Knowing that we can monitor potential data leaks gives me peace of mind about our security posture. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Blackfog G2 Review"
3.5/5
What do you like best about BlackFog?

It gives good visibility on issues that we may not have been aware of across all systems. Able to configure different groups for different types of systems for higher or lower restrictions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BlackFog?

Administrative logging needs improvement in console. More detailed historical changes, who did what, when did it happen, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Darren Williams of BlackFog

We will be adding more search capabilities in the audit trails in a future update. All changes are automatically logged, so this should allow more detailed filtering of changes by date.

"Excellent Protection and Peace of Mind"
5/5
What do you like best about BlackFog?

I've been using BlackFog for several months now, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the results. It consistently keeps my computer safe from malicious attacks, phishing attempts, and suspicious files. The real-time protection is top-notch, and I appreciate how quietly it runs in the background without slowing down my system.

What really sets it apart is the ease of use. The dashboard is intuitive, updates are seamless, and the security alerts are clear without being overwhelming. I also like the regular reports—it gives me confidence knowing that threats are being detected and neutralized before they become a problem.

In a time when cyber threats are growing more sophisticated, having this software on my system gives me true peace of mind. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to secure their computers without the hassle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about BlackFog?

There’s very little to dislike. As with any software, there is a brief learning curve to understand its features and recognize certain security triggers. Occasionally, it may block the installation of legitimate programs; however, this is easily resolved by selecting the "Pause for Install" option, which allows the installation to proceed smoothly. Overall, the interface is simple, intuitive, and user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
