What do you like best about Billo?

Billo has been a really strong solution for scaling UGC without adding a lot of operational overhead to our team.

From a UI/UX standpoint, the platform is very intuitive and easy to navigate. Creating briefs, uploading scripts, and managing projects is straightforward, and there isn’t much of a learning curve. It’s clear that the workflow was designed with marketers in mind, which makes day-to-day use efficient.

The core value really comes from how streamlined the process is. We’re able to create a brief, push it out to creators, and then review applicants all in one place. Having the ability to choose creators based on fit is a big advantage, especially when you’re trying to maintain brand consistency across different pieces of content.

In terms of performance, turnaround times have been solid and predictable. We’re able to get content produced much faster than we could managing this process manually, and the quality is generally aligned with what we’re looking for when the brief is clear.

On the pricing/ROI side, it’s been worth it for us. When you factor in the time saved from sourcing creators, managing communication, and coordinating deliverables, it’s actually quite cost-effective. It allows our team to focus more on strategy and optimization rather than execution-heavy tasks.

Support and onboarding have also been smooth. The platform is easy enough to pick up quickly, but when needed, the support team has been responsive and helpful.

From an integrations and AI perspective, this isn’t necessarily the strongest area, but it’s also not a core need for us in this workflow. The value of Billo is more in its simplicity and execution rather than advanced automation or AI-driven features.

What do you dislike about Billo?

While Billo has been very helpful overall, there are a few areas where it could improve.

At times, the quality of creators can be a bit inconsistent. While you do have control over selection, it can still take some trial and error to consistently find creators that fully match your brand voice and expectations. This can occasionally add an extra review cycle.

The platform is also somewhat limited when it comes to integrations and advanced workflow automation. If you’re looking to plug this directly into a broader marketing tech stack or automate parts of the process, there isn’t a ton of flexibility there right now.

From a creative standpoint, results are highly dependent on how detailed and clear your brief is. If instructions aren’t very specific, you may end up needing revisions, which can slow things down slightly.

Pricing can also add up if you’re producing a high volume of content regularly. While the ROI makes sense in many cases, it’s something that needs to be actively managed to ensure efficiency at scale.

Lastly, while the platform is easy to use, there isn’t a lot of advanced functionality or AI-driven optimization built in yet. It does the core job well, but there’s room for growth in terms of smarter recommendations or performance insights.

What do you like best about Billo?

I love two things about Billo. First is the creator database where I can pick and choose creators based on data like their past performance and hook rate, instead of just going by appearances or sound. The support team is another aspect I appreciate. They handle content reviews and ensure that the quality is up to par, which saves me time and reduces hassle, as I don't have to be the sole judge of quality. The initial setup of Billo was very easy, taking just minutes to get familiar with the platform, and it's incredibly intuitive with no steep learning curve or need for extensive onboarding. This was an amazing experience. I also value how Billo saves time and hassle on UGC creator management and has proven to be a necessary platform for our needs. What do you dislike about Billo?

As a creator who has been creating content with Billo since August of 2021 I can promise you everything is good...until it's not. EVERY single time there has been an issue with the client, Billo has taken the side of the client. EVERY TIME. They want 10 scenes for a 30 second video that you tell them won't fit - they assure you it'll fit and to do your best. They needed to purchase a 60 second video, but they are being cheap. This particular client wanted to use my horses, fields and cut a hole in my trough for a $40 pay out. Then you turn in the max 40 seconds (not getting paid for the extra 10 seconds) to get the max 2 edit requests for things you warned them about in the first place. Then Billo will offer you a shameful $5-$10 to fix it even though you've already done that twice as best you can to fit. This last time was it for me. The final video was 47 seconds for a 30 second gig. Had to spend extra time to cut it down. Edit requests twice because I had to cut it down. As expected, Billo reaches out, so I ask them to review the initial conversation where I told the client IT WON'T FIT before I accepted the gig (they reached out to ME to do the video). They do review the conversation, apologize and say the client is difficult. I think, FINALLY Billo recognizes some are simply unreasonable. They offer me $30 to redo it - I said I would but would need to upload differently since as I already stated - it exceeded the allowable upload time. While I was paid for the video, I was not paid the additional promised money. When I asked about it they said the client wasn't responding. Which as far as I'm concerned is not on me, that's on them. I completed my agreed upon obligation, Billo has not. I'm not new at this - I've completed 593 video with 100% on time delivery score and 4.86 of 5 star rating on 221 reviews. What do you like best about Billo?

I like that billo makes it easy to connect with creators and showcases their reviews, examples, and strengths. There are also a lot of great resources that make creating content and writing briefs easier, especially for smaller teams with less internal resources. The pricing is very competitive and we love that we can easily add on creator images as well to use throughout our marketing efforts and also on our website. What do you like best about Billo?

I like how Billo has unlocked scale and affordability for us as a business that's constantly testing and needing to pump out as much content as possible. The platform is extremely user-friendly and easy to work with. It has enabled us to reach high-quality users who can very promptly follow our creative briefs, and the quality of videos is sufficient for the price we pay. I'm excited to continue using Billo to support our future creative needs. I like the ease of use and the affordability. The creator discovery is very easy and it matches us with users who are high quality and likely to fulfill our creative briefs. I use Billo for working with UGC creators and really like the fast turnaround times with quality assets that can be used for both paid social and organic testing. I appreciate Billo's easy UI, which makes it simple to submit briefs, source creators, and even communicate with them in real-time. The creators on the platform are also very fast and efficient. The help desk (chat function) can be a bit slow. When I started using Billo, it took multiple days for someone to get in touch with me. I would like more visibility in line or a real estimation on when I will be helped. What do you like best about Billo?

I really like how Billo allows us to find good quality UGC creators and work with them seamlessly, removing a lot of the admin work for me. I love that it eliminates a lot of back and forth in emails because everything is straightforward with clearly laid out requirements and parameters. Getting and requesting edits on videos is very seamless, and the ease of use stands out as well. I enjoy the new features like requesting whitelisting and other services, which are really helpful. What do you dislike about Billo?

I don't like the lack of invoicing or financial reporting. I can't see which creator I've paid money to and how much I paid them. It would be really nice to have that detail. All I can see is how much money I've loaded into Billo, and how much money has come out of my account, but it doesn't say where it's going to or anything like that. What do you like best about Billo?

I like that Billo is easy to use, which really helps with managing creators as it simplifies the process. The fixed pricing is another aspect I appreciate, which makes budgeting much easier. What do you dislike about Billo?

If you spend $5k multiple times, they don't level up your account status. They force you to buy $10k in one shot for that status, which is weird.
