What I like most about ArcGIS GeoEvent Server is its ability to process and analyze real-time spatial data streams.

Real-time data processing – It can ingest live data from sensors, GPS devices, and IoT systems and process it instantly.

Event-driven workflows – Enables triggering alerts, notifications, or actions based on defined conditions.

Seamless integration with ArcGIS – Works smoothly with ArcGIS Enterprise, maps, and dashboards for live visualization.

Flexible data ingestion – Supports multiple input formats and streaming sources.

ArcGIS GeoEvent server provide real time situation awareness which is crustal for mission critical operations. GeoEvent server allow control centers to keep track of real time situation of field assets, It also allow to analyze the event and on top of all this, users can also forecast the upcoming trends and make better decision ahead of time.

The seamless integration of IoT with GIS in a straight forward approach . The GIS application is now updated with the real time attribute information, which the user loves. Not simple to configure and administrable for a GIS person, demands more knowledge in IoT and web services which is not necessarily required . The GeoEvent server is sold to the people who don't even require it by the sales team. The users must scrutinize their purchase before making such a big purchase decision also Esri should advice against the purchase if the user doesn't really need it. Indispensable tool for deriving insights from real time streaming data – whether coming from in situ sensors, moving assets or a variety of naturally occurring phenomena. I find GeoEvent server particularly useful for monitoring/tracking moving assets (maintenance vans) helping me to analyse and display real-time data on interactive maps.
