You can easily integrate your workflow into the system without any problems. ArboStar does the job nicely, easily, quickly, and is quite affordable for any arborist business. It integrates nicely with financial systems such as QuickBooks too. **What do you dislike about ArboStar?** The reporting feature is a little bit weak with the version I currently have. It provides some standard reports that have some fair data qualities but to customize reports using custom fields or job fields is quite weak. **What problems is ArboStar solving and how is that benefiting you?** My overall experience with ArboStar is positive as it helps me to do my job with ease. It assigns and tracks all work requests, quotes, tasks, and jobs. It also does our invoicing and sends data to Quickbooks for great financial reporting. ### 2. It’s so nice not to be limited when scheduling customers and creating their profiles. It cuts out time in half, if not more, being able to customize our program to fit our needs. The interface is top-notch, clean, and easy to navigate. You can log in once you are at the job site and log out when you are done. Directions/maps are integrated into each customer's location for quickly planning your day's journey. **What do you dislike about ArboStar?** I would love to see a more detailed search feature. **What problems is ArboStar solving and how is that benefiting you?** Using ArboStar, we're able to create estimates and work through an ongoing job without it affecting our bookkeeping in Quickbooks Online. The customer can be emailed/ texted via the platform. This software actually replaced three others that we were using. Their tech support is out of this world with helping when needed. **What do you dislike about ArboStar?** There is really nothing that I absolutely do not like. It provides our business will all the features we need and streamlines our business process. Just about every mundane task I do is made quicker in some way. It pins jobs to my map automatically, allowing me to quickly email or call customers based on their map location, making customer communication a breeze. This has made each day much more productive, as I can plan my jobs in the most efficient way possible by zipping between leads, jobs, and estimates in the most efficient way possible. **What do you dislike about ArboStar?** Really not much to complain about. There's been a couple of minor bugs here and there, but each one's been quickly fixed with an update. The support team is really responsive and helpful when anything does come up, so everythings been smooth sailing so far. **What problems is ArboStar solving and how is that benefiting you?** The bottom line is that Arbostar has helped my business take on more clients. I have a small team and do a lot of the heavy lifting myself (in more ways than one!) but now that I have one app that can track jobs automatically, handle payroll, communicate with customers, etc. I can be much more efficient with every spare minute I have. I've toyed with the idea of using a CRM for my business before, but always thought we were too small for one. I love the real-time lead display that shows up instantly on my phone. The app connects to my phone's GPS, meaning if I'm in the area I can easily check out potential job sites the moment the customer needs something. The software also keeps track of basically every piece of information I could possibly need, so everything I need to know about my business operations is sitting right in my pocket at all times. **What do you dislike about ArboStar?** Everything is quite intuitively placed, but I would have liked some type of tutorial that walked me through every feature. There were some features, like the ability to listen to recorded phone conversations, that I didn't know existed until I stumbled upon them a month after getting the app. There's a lot of helpful features, and I want to make sure I'm aware of all of them and know how to use them. **What problems is ArboStar solving and how is that benefiting you?** I've been using Arbostar for a little over four months now and it's helped my business streamline some of the areas that used to be a hassle to deal with. From IP calling system generating very detailed leads and spreading them on a map with accurate positioning and coordinates, which at first doesn't look like a big thing, but then when the estimators go out they have all that precise info on one handheld device from which the estimates are done in a fast and professional way capturing photos on the system making all the detailed notes for the crews on the client's site, sending it from there or even capturing the client's signature and getting an approved estimate right there, that is efficiency... Then all the scheduling process is done easy incorporating, crews with labour times, equipment requirements, best routes solutions generating work orders easy to access by the crew members, so everybody knows where to go and what to do, that is productivity... The administration follow up process is done on the same platform, so all the invoicing, payments are taken care and nothing will be left aside. All these numbers and figures of income and expenses are detailed manage by the system and set up in a graphically easy to see statistic layout chart so that the opportunity for improvements can be done from real cases in real-time, that is proactive management... Our company started off from scratch, the basic pen and paper and as the company grows and expands, we were looking for a software that has a systematic feature that targeted the tree industry and can offer us an all in one management platform. Most software nowadays has many features that are too general and doesn't function much for the type of industry we have. Some are impressively advance but way out of our budget. When we had our demo from ArboStar all of us agreed that we have to try it and it eventually didn't fail us. We like how user friendly it is. The features they offer is everything that you could ask for, from scheduling, accounting, estimates and phone system. Since I do customer service, I wanted something that is organized and easy to find on the system. The information is shared on the system so no need to go back and forth with the estimators. I also take advantage of the IP system since I can do an inbound and outbound call to respond to clients and coordinate with the estimators and the crew. The call feature is really a plus since no need to pay extra for a phone system. It is handy in a sense that mobile feature is there and helpful for our field estimators, They can attach pictures on their estimates and it can be sent on-site so it is really savvy for people on the go. Tree care companies should have ArboStar as there software. It really made a difference in our daily operations. **What do you dislike about ArboStar?** I like all the features on the system. The software prompts you to correct any mistakes as every detail plays a crucial role in the overall functionality of the software. The scheduling platform is excellent in terms of logistics. All the new confirmed projects are displayed on a map with details on the required equipment and crew to help minimize travel time between jobs and ensure smooth completion of all assigned projects. The new leads are displayed on the leads map immediately after the customer provides their information and can be viewed on a tablet or phone anywhere in the city allowing for an immediate response to new incoming leads. Each lead can be customized as an emergency, priority, regular or existing client marked with a different colour on the map. **What do you dislike about ArboStar?** Once in a while, there is a glitch in the system but the tech support is easy to reach, very responsive and fast in resolving any IT issues. **Recommendations to others considering ArboStar:** Give it a try, it's worth it. **What problems is ArboStar solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have been using the ArboStar system for about 6 years. My main roles at the Tree Doctors are scheduling, production crew management, payroll and calculations of profitability. My experience with ArboStar has always been very positive. The system helps you manage your day to day tasks with ease which is very important in a fast-paced environment. One of the many features that I use daily is payroll management and production crew schedule which are linked together. This allows for an accurate manhour count on each project and a detailed calculation of financial returns or losses. The system sends notifications if a crew member does not sign out at the end of the day or signs in our out from a location other than the designated area, eliminating the potential for theft of hours. Because the system is accessible to all employees on tablets or phones there are security features that allow you to choose which module each employee has access to. The dashboard gives you a detailed overview of how many new leads are received, how many proposals have been sent out by estimators or how many projects have been confirmed or invoiced. There are many options to create reminders for yourself and tasks for others as well as a messaging system for the staff.
