"Apollo’s Predatory Credit Expiration Scam – Formal Complaint & Demand for Immediate Remedy"
0/5
What do you like best about Apollo.io?

Very very little. I chose Apollo primarily for its extensive B2B contact database and API capabilities. In theory, the data coverage looked strong for sales prospecting and automation workflows but the results were not even close to what I expected.

However, I never got the chance to fully experience any real benefits. I purchased a subscription that included monthly API credits, but near the end (not at the end) of my billing cycle I still had ~1,360 credits remaining when the API started returning billing errors. I was locked out before I could meaningfully use the service for any prospecting or data enrichment tasks.

The only “positive” is that their platform appears polished on the surface — until hallucination and billing issues hit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apollo.io?

The billing and credit system is predatory and poorly designed. I paid for a subscription that included a specific number of monthly API credits. With approximately 1,360 credits still unused near the end of the billing period, the API began returning billing-related errors that completely blocked access before the billing period actually ended.

I immediately contacted Apollo support requesting assistance to restore access so I could use the credits I had already paid for. Support refused to help and explicitly stated that nothing would be done unless I renewed or purchased another subscription. Extortion much?

This is unacceptable. Customers should be able to use the credits they prepaid during the active billing cycle. Instead, Apollo effectively made my remaining credits worthless unless I paid them more money. Their support response felt like deliberate extortion rather than customer service.

This experience left me with a very negative view of their business practices. I lost access to a significant portion of the service I paid for with zero meaningful remedy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One Platform for Prospecting, Outreach, and Pipeline Growth"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Apollo.io?

What I like best about Apollo is its combination of accurate contact data, advanced prospecting filters, and outreach capabilities in a single platform. It helps me quickly identify the right decision-makers, build highly targeted lists, and engage prospects efficiently, which significantly reduces prospecting time and increases meeting bookings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apollo.io?

While Apollo is a powerful platform, contact data accuracy can occasionally vary for certain regions or niche industries, requiring manual verification. Additionally, some advanced features and reporting capabilities have a learning curve and could be more intuitive for new users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Apollo.io’s All-in-One Sales Platform That Supercharges Efficiency"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Apollo.io?

Apollo.io is one of the strongest options because it brings lead generation, contact data, sequencing, and engagement together in a single platform. That all-in-one setup helps a lean sales team work far more efficiently and stay focused without juggling multiple tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apollo.io?

The main limitation to keep in mind is that, although Apollo’s contact database is extensive, no B2B database is perfectly accurate. For that reason, it’s still worth double-checking high-value accounts before you invest significant time in outreach. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best value B2B prospecting tool on the market today"
5/5
What do you like best about Apollo.io?

What stands out most to me is the all-in-one approach: I can find leads, enrich contact data, run email sequences, and track the pipeline without having to jump between different tools. The per-user pricing model also feels transparent, and it seems to scale well for small teams. Overall, it’s easily the best value in B2B prospecting right now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apollo.io?

Data coverage outside the US can be inconsistent. In APAC and the Middle East, contacts often have missing mobile numbers or job titles that are out of date. I’ve also noticed that older records tend to have a higher-than-expected email bounce rate, and credits are still consumed even when the data returned is incomplete or inaccurate. "Powerhouse Lead Generation with Deep Filtering and Reliable Automation"
4/5
What do you like best about Apollo.io?

The platform is a powerhouse for finding and converting high-quality leads, and it puts the repetitive parts of outbound sales on autopilot. I’m especially impressed by the depth of the database, which makes it easy to filter prospects using very specific criteria, such as job role and company size. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apollo.io?

To be honest, there isn’t much to complain about because the tool delivers exactly what it promises. If I had to point to anything, it would be that the sheer number of features can feel a bit overwhelming at first. However, once you get the hang of the workflow, it quickly becomes second nature. Overall, it’s a stable and reliable platform that I can count on for my daily operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Deep Search Filters and Smooth LinkedIn/Gmail Integration for Targeted Lead Gen"
5/5
What do you like best about Apollo.io?

The depth of the search filters is definitely the standout feature for me. It lets our team drill down into very specific niches, which makes our lead generation much more targeted and focused. I’ve also found the automated email sequencing, especially with the built-in buffers, to be a major time-saver. On top of that, the integration with LinkedIn and Gmail feels very smooth and helps keep our workflow consistent from start to finish. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apollo.io?

The credit limits on the entry-level plans feel a bit tight, which makes it difficult to fully test the platform’s capabilities when you’re just getting started. I’ve also noticed it can become somewhat sluggish when handling very large data exports or running complex queries, and that can interrupt my momentum during a heavy prospecting session. "Apollo.io Makes Prospecting Fast with Precise Filters and All-in-One Workflows"
4/5
What do you like best about Apollo.io?

Apollo.io keeps me coming back because I can swiftly move from spotting a target company to making a solid prospect list. The filters are precise for zeroing in on the perfect candidates. Plus, having contact info, outreach tools, and workflows all in one spot cuts out tons of tedious research work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apollo.io?

I've learned not to trust every contact record on Apollo.io without double-checking. While most data's helpful, I often find outdated info like old job titles or email addresses, especially at rapidly growing firms where roles are constantly changing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All-in-One Prospecting and Outreach That Boosts Sales Productivity"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Apollo.io?

What I like most about Apollo.io is its combination of a large B2B contact database and built-in sales engagement tools. Instead of using separate platforms for prospecting, email outreach, and lead management, Apollo.io brings everything together in one place. Extensive database of verified business contacts and companies. Advanced search filters to identify prospects by industry, role, location, company size, and technologies used. Built-in email sequencing and outreach automation. CRM integrations that simplify lead management and tracking. Useful insights into buying intent and prospect activity to help prioritize outreach. For me, the most valuable feature is the advanced prospecting filters. They make it easy to build highly targeted lead lists, improving the quality of outreach and reducing the time spent searching for potential customers. The biggest benefit is increased sales productivity. Apollo.io streamlines lead generation, prospect research, and outreach, allowing sales and business development teams to spend more time engaging qualified prospects and less time on manual research. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apollo.io?

The biggest drawback is data accuracy consistency. While Apollo.io has a large contact database, I occasionally need to verify email addresses or job titles before reaching out, especially for rapidly changing organizations. Contact information is generally good, but some records can be outdated or inaccurate, requiring manual verification. Email deliverability depends heavily on proper domain setup and outreach practices, so results can vary. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Game-Changer for Seamless Prospect Dialing"
5/5
What do you like best about Apollo.io?

I really appreciate the effectiveness of Apollo.io's dialer, especially the parallel and power dialer features which work fantastically well. This allows me to connect with a larger number of prospects smoothly without any glitches, which is extremely beneficial for my work. The data provided by Apollo.io is unique, helpful, and impressively accurate, with the occurrence of incorrect data being less than 1%. This precision ensures that the mobile numbers and email addresses I acquire are correct and verified, making it easier to reach the right decision-makers for my business. The platform's ability to automate tasks related to LinkedIn and email all in one place truly transforms my operations, acting as a game-changer for my business processes. Additionally, the user interface is intuitive and easy to handle, even for newcomers, enabling them to perform tasks right from the first day, which significantly eases the onboarding process. I give Apollo.io a high rating of 9.5 out of 10 for these features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apollo.io?

I keep running into a glitch when I use the parallel dialer at a speed setting of five. It causes problems when trying to dial five prospects at once, which disrupts the workflow and makes the experience less smooth. Because of this, it doesn’t feel like it can compete effectively with other tools like NUCs or Orem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Everything I Needed for Outreach in One Place"
4/5
What do you like best about Apollo.io?

The combination of a massive verified contact database and built-in sequencing is what keeps me coming back. Instead of juggling three different tools for finding leads, verifying emails, and sending follow-ups, Apollo handles it all in one place that alone saves a couple of hours every week.

The filters are where it really shines. I can narrow down prospects by industry, company size, job title, and even tech stack, so I'm not wasting time on contacts that were never a good fit. Building a targeted list that used to take half a day now takes maybe 20 minutes.

The email sequencing with automatic follow-ups means I'm not manually tracking who I chased and when. I set the cadence once and Apollo keeps it moving, which has noticeably improved my reply rates just through consistency.

One thing I didn't expect: the Chrome extension is genuinely useful. I can pull up a LinkedIn profile and get contact details and company info without leaving the page, it's small but it adds up.

If you do any kind of cold outreach at scale, it's hard to justify cobbling together separate tools when Apollo does the job end to end. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apollo.io?

The data accuracy is the biggest frustration. Email bounce rates are higher than I'd like. probably 10–15% of contacts have outdated information, which hurts deliverability if you're not scrubbing lists before sending. A more aggressive real-time verification pass before exporting would go a long way.

The interface can get cluttered once you're managing multiple sequences and lists simultaneously. Navigating between campaigns, contacts, and analytics feels like one click too many each time.

Credit limits are a genuine pain point. If you're doing heavy prospecting in a given week, you can burn through your monthly export credits faster than expected and then you're either pausing outreach or upgrading.

The reporting is decent but not deep enough. I can see open and reply rates, but drilling into which specific step in a sequence is causing drop-off takes more effort than it should. Better per-step analytics without needing to export data manually would make optimising sequences a lot easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
