It allows for extensive automation to clean up unused images, another feature I like is that it has labels with prefixes for all strings given when a repository is running. The configuration allows you to set up the repositories so that your images are not overwritten it is very common to drag or push the same image either by mistake because it is copied twice into the system being able to detect these errors makes me use Amazon ECR very constantly to manage and store my images. It has a very powerful scanning tool that can identify software vulnerabilities in all the images I am using in my electronic platform. It uses an extensive database and CVE to detect errors that may be causing failures in the services provided to companies that use our applications. You can also perform a manual scan by executing code this is very attractive for users who handle an advanced programming language as is my case. The AWS console allows you to manage everything very easily and is available at any time you need it. **What do you dislike about Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR)?** Editing the configuration of an existing repository can be a bit tedious if you don't have a thorough understanding of the management console. Image scanning commands do not usually work properly all the time, so I recommend reviewing the user guides to do the whole process correctly. The Push scan usually throws a lot of errors in the process and I don't use it for this reason I resort more to a manual vulnerability scan on the system. ECR image extraction often shows errors I don't know about and I have to ask for help from the support team which takes a long time to answer or solve a problem. **Recommendations to others considering Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR):** This administrative docker system is very complete at the enterprise level and can be implemented in large companies and manage cloud storage resources. It is undoubtedly the best option because it is available in multiple countries and allows total control of all services from a console very comfortable to use and understand, has some weaknesses but it is worth using the service because it has a high journey and support by reputable companies. The creation of image repositories is very easy with the interface offered by AWS providing me with multiple KTBS accounts at any time you want to run them. It is very easy to apply registration policies with this tool it is nice not to have to resort to long lists of code to execute an action. In access control for images is very complete and secure. I like to be able to use them locally in development I think it does a pretty good job in this respect. Wide range of regions I have 13 regions available to create repositories and dock in each one. It is really cheap to store Docker images only 0.1$/GB and the first month is totally free with 500MB, they really have done a great job with this platform. **What do you dislike about Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR)?** Complaints, really Amazon is a very serious and complete company however in many occasions they usually charge for storage that you do not know when you used what they call payment by transfers. The integration of the container with Amazon EC2 is not the most useful the RDP in regions with Japan, Singapore and United Kingdom are usually very slow and have solved this since I have currently 10 RDP at my disposal, nor is it very useful with the Linux platform. When cleaning up old images from a repository, often you will want to find the oldest images for the entire repo. But the sorting only sorts per page.
