"Alert Enterprise - Bank of America App Support Manager/ Project Consultant"

What do you like best about Guardian?

Guardian is a one stop shop for access provisioning. We recently rolled out the visitor identity management (VIM) module and the bank team has included financial center credentialing as a part of our future road map . I have been working with Alert ( Navjot Singh and his team) for the last 2 plus years and he and his team provide amazing customer service and support. Navjot is always a phone call or email away. The AE team is very receptive to the bank teams improvement ideas and I haven't heard a no yet. If a challenge does pop up, which is rare, Navjot brings a wealth of subject matter experts to resolve quickly. Also no issues on the AE side with the physical hardware ( AMAG panel/Sym blue readers/ barcode readers) that we use to support the enterprise. Application also supports our new SMART credentials.

What do you dislike about Guardian?

Nothing specifically pertaining to Guardian but I feel the ticketing tool ( Jira ) can be greatly improvided to provide more detail and a dashboard that will give us more meaningful data such as volume, open outstanding items with lenght open etc ,

"Modernization of Physical Security"

What do you like best about Guardian?

1. Guardian helped us to modernize our access control system. It changed physical security from a delinquent cost center into a cost overhead saver and actually making money to the organization.

2. The platform further enables the enterprise to integrate different support systems into access control, making it easier to keep track of things like training expiration, contractor times on site, onboardings and off-boardings etc.

3. Thousands of emails use to be send weekly requesting access and access removals, its all done now by the click of a button and one have a workflow record of everything.

4. The platform enabled mobile credentials to us which is another carbon reduction effort and cost saving in the use of plastics. It further enhanced security of enterprise Identity cards.

5. Scalability of the system is fairly easily done and the product engineers can cater for small sites to very large sites.

6. Guardian customer support specialist know their product and the products it integrate with , making it always for accurate feedback and advise.

What do you dislike about Guardian?

1. When patches, upgrades and changes are made by the product engineers there seem to be somewhat of a quality control issue. Most of the time when these patches, changes, upgrades are implemented, its almost like small things are not tested well. For some reason almost every time after the latter happened, something on our system wont work, that would take several weeks then to get fixed.

What problems is Guardian solving and how is that benefiting you?

It solve turnaround worker badging, employee lifecycle, no need for paperwork anymore, no more emails for access, mobile phone access, interconnectivity of enterprise systems into security, and physical security became a major enterprise data donor.

"Seamless IT–HR to PACS Integration with Guardian"

What do you like best about Guardian?

Cyber-Physical Convergence: Guardian's most significant strength is connecting IT and HR systems (like Workday or SAP) directly to physical access control systems (PACS) such as Lenel or C-Cure

What do you dislike about Guardian?

Setup Complexity and Integration Hurdles: Some users report that the initial setup of Guardian can be complex and challenging, often requiring a significant amount of time for adjustments. Integration issues, particularly after software updates, have been noted to cause system failures or delays in resolution

What problems is Guardian solving and how is that benefiting you?

Manual Access Provisioning: Eliminates the slow, error-prone process of manually entering employee data into various Physical Access Control Systems (PACS).

Access "Orphanage": Solves the security risk of terminated employees retaining physical access because their badges weren't manually deactivated in time.

Compliance Gaps: Addresses the difficulty of producing real-time audit logs for regulations like NERC CIP, SOC 2, and HIPAA across multiple global sites.

Alert Fatigue: Reduces the noise of thousands of meaningless security events by using the Guardian SOC Insights dashboard to highlight only high-risk anomalies.

"Guardian and Operational Interoperabilty"

What do you like best about Guardian?

We struggled with multiple legacy platforms. We had a clear vision for a multi-use approach to identity management, and the Alert Enterprise team listened—then Guardian delivered. Guardian addressed interoperability for us by bringing various systems together to drive process improvement, strengthen cost controls, and support governance. There was no need to rip and replace our legacy systems; instead, we gained a single pane of glass that lets us run multiple operations from one dashboard. Truly game changing.

What do you dislike about Guardian?

There’s nothing to dislike about Guardian. In our organization, we too often got distracted by scope creep while developing new strategies. It’s critical not to get pulled off course by every new idea; instead, we need to stay focused on the task and scope, and keep the fundamentals in mind.

What problems is Guardian solving and how is that benefiting you?

Guardian helped us accomplish a significant strategic goal we call "time-to-pay;" the connectivity between contractor time on site, and SAP integration for accurate invoicing. That was a significant challenge we faced and Guardian helped us resolve delivering real dollars back to our operations SG&A.

"Proactive Updates and Responsive Support That Stay Ahead of Threats"

What do you like best about Guardian?

Guardian stands out because of their proactive update schedule and responsive customer support team. They are clearly committed to staying ahead of emerging threats, and whenever we've had a technical question, their support staff has been knowledgeable and quick to assist.

What do you dislike about Guardian?

Due to test connection failure of OnGuard system the jobs get stuck sometimes creating a discrepancy that we need to fix later.

What problems is Guardian solving and how is that benefiting you?

Guardian solves our configuration drift and compliance monitoring challenges. It automates what used to be a tedious manual audit process, allowing us to catch misconfigurations before they become security risks. This benefits me by saving hours of manual reporting time and giving the leadership team confidence in our security posture.
