## Cyberduck Reviews
  ### 1. Simple, User-Friendly FTP/SFTP and Cloud Transfers That Speed Up Work

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lakshay J. | Senior Engineer - Product Engineering, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Cyberduck?**

It has a simple interface and the ability to connect to S/FTP as well as cloud storage. It’s very user-friendly and makes work faster. You can just drag and drop things around.

**What do you dislike about Cyberduck?**

I hate the donation prompt that pops up every time I try to close it. Also, sometimes it hangs-especially when it’s already connected to a server and you restart Cyberduck. Then it freezes and you have to restart it again. That’s what I’ve been seeing on my Mac.

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me connect to edge devices and use SFTP very easily. I can also browse through the directories on those edge devices, which makes troubleshooting much simpler. Apart from that, I’m able to connect to GPU and cloud storage easily for my work.

  ### 2. Reliable and Effortless File Transfers on Mac

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrick G. | Marketing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Cyberduck?**

CyberDuck is a simple and reliable file transfer tool for Mac. It connects easily to FTP, SFTP, WebDAV, and cloud storage like Amazon S3 or Google Drive. I like that it feels lightweight but still powerful — you can drag and drop files, edit directly from the app, and manage remote servers without much setup. The interface is clean and easy to use, even if it’s not the flashiest.

One small downside is that large transfers can sometimes take a bit longer, and a few settings are tucked away in menus. But overall, CyberDuck does exactly what it’s supposed to — it’s stable, straightforward, and works well for managing files between local and remote systems.

**What do you dislike about Cyberduck?**

While CyberDuck works well for everyday file transfers, it’s not the fastest option out there, especially with very large files or many small ones. The interface, though clean, can feel a bit dated and sometimes less intuitive compared to newer Mac-native apps.

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick and Easy

  ### 3. Simple, Reliable Mac FTP App

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pablo M. | administrador de sistemas, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Cyberduck?**

A simple, reliable Mac app for connecting to FTP servers.

**What do you dislike about Cyberduck?**

There’s a lack of updates. It should be updated more frequently.

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it on my Mac to connect to FTP servers through a graphical interface, which makes managing files much easier than doing it from the command line.

  ### 4. Versatile Browser for Server and Cloud Storage

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luca P. | Chief Operations Officer DEQUA Studio | Formerly CTO in MarTech, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Cyberduck?**

I find Cyberduck to be an exceptionally versatile open-source tool that serves as both a server and cloud storage browser for Mac and Windows. Its strength lies in its extensive compatibility with a multitude of protocols, including FTP, SFTP, and WebDAV.
This allows me to connect to almost any type of remote server I need for my work.

I particularly like its seamless integration with major cloud storage providers like Amazon S3, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, Dropbox, and Backblaze B2 etc…

Having the ability to access and manage files from so many different services through a single, centralized interface is really efficient.

UI is another strong point. It’s intuitive, and the drag-and-drop functionality for uploading and downloading files makes transfers feel smooth and straightforward as well the view is great for navigating large and complex directory structures. Furthermore, the ability to edit files directly on the server using my preferred external text editor, such as Sublime Text, is a feature I use constantly for updating configuration files and reviewing logs on the fly.

On macOS, it uses the system Keychain for secure password management and integrates with the Notification Center, making it feel like a native part of the operating system.
Quick Look feature allows you to preview files with the spacebar without having to download them, is another feature that significantly speeds up my workflow!

**What do you dislike about Cyberduck?**

RAM consumption… can sometimes be quite high. For an SFTP client, using nearly 1GB of RAM seems excessive and can slow down other applications when I have multiple connections open.

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In my daily work, Cyberduck solves the fundamental problem of managing access to a variety of remote servers and cloud storage accounts.

Instead of having to use multiple applications or web interfaces, I centralize everything through Cyberduck, which greatly simplifies file management and synchronization across different platforms.

It makes remote server administration and website management much easier as I can directly access files on our server, quickly edit scripts, update configurations, or review logs without having to download and re-upload files.

Furthermore, it provides me with a secure method for sharing files. By using its encryption capabilities for file names and directory structures, I can ensure that sensitive data is protected and unauthorized access is blocked when collaborating with clients or team members.

There is no way to organize bookmarks. It's challenging to find the necessary connections when you have dozens of them. It would be helpful to have a system like trees or folders to organize data.

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have multiple servers, and occasionally I need to quickly download files from them. Being lazy, I prefer using this tool instead of opening my Terminal and performing the task in the console.

It's been some time since I've updated and I'm uncertain if any new features or controls have been added in quite some time. Perhaps something I should look into!

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a reliable connection to my server and I can easily login to client's servers. Ease of use and direct login is the best features I have to say I don't use many other features.

  ### 14. My favourite FTP tool on Mac

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2022

**What do you like best about Cyberduck?**

It's simple to use and works well on Mac OS when compared to other FTP tools for Mac. It makes editing FTP files easier when you use it with a code editor. You don't have to do the download and upload, as Cyberduck do that automically for you and saves your effort.

**What do you dislike about Cyberduck?**

There was always an issue when I used it for years. When it's on Mac OS and idle for a while, the connection will be disconnected automatically. And every time saving a file will need to wait longer as reestablishing connection takes time.

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It just play what an FTP tool does but is better than others on Mac OS. Not really a problem it solved for me, but it's an essential tool.

CyberDuck loads quickly and is very responsive. It takes no time at all to upload content and the user interface is very intuitive.

My only complaint is after clicking the Disconnect button, the only visual confirmation that you have disconnected is the text in the interface turns gray. It always takes me a few seconds to confirm I've disconnected before I close out the app.

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

CyberDuck makes it quite easy for us to upload our PDF literature to the library on our website.

  ### 20. Improve the platform interface and processing.

The entire system is separated into folders, making it easy to use to perform day-to-day tasks.

**What do you dislike about Cyberduck?**

Bad layout. The layout is difficult to use on the platform, appearing to be an older platform. It would be nice to have this adjustment so that the client can use it in a good way.
There should be an option to undo what was done at the time.

**Recommendations to others considering Cyberduck:**

With Cyber-Duck you will easily and safely perform your work.

With Cyber-Duck I can quickly import, edit and remove files from the S3. With this speed my service flows more efficiently, leaving more time for other service tasks.

  ### 21. Simple app, cute icon

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeremy S. | Development Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Cyberduck?**

What I like best about Cyberduck is the simplicity of the app. Working on a Mac, the interface feels like a Finder window which makes using the app a familiar tool. Additionally, the ability to customize the app is greatly appreciated. Being able to add or remove icons from the toolbar is helpful.

**What do you dislike about Cyberduck?**

I honestly don't use Cyberduck for anything crazy. The primary purpose for me is to transfer files to vendors quickly. There are other solutions like WeTransfer, but having the bookmarks to clients' FTP's in Cyberduck allows for more effortless transfer of files. With all of this said, there's nothing that I dislike. Again, with my limited needs, Cyberduck does all I want it to do.

**Recommendations to others considering Cyberduck:**

I used to use Fetch all the time. After switching to Cyberduck, I'm delighted with my decision.

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem I'm solving with Cyberduck is the need to transfer files effortlessly. There are other apps out there, but I love the simplicity of Cyberduck. We have To and From folders with our vendors so we simply upload the files into the To folder, and when the work is complete they place in the From folder. It's great just having the app on my Mac, logging in to do what I need to do, and then getting back to other tasks.

  ### 22. Cyberduck is the right software for your website

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Max S. | Operations Manager, Transportation/Trucking/Railroad, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Cyberduck?**

Compared to other software of similar profiles, Cyberduck has been in the market for a long time now, and it is the most dependable File Transfer client in the market. It is effortless to use, even for a beginner looking to build their first website. User interface did not change throughout years because it is functional and well founded.

**What do you dislike about Cyberduck?**

I would like to see different skins and themes of this product. It would elevate and personalize this software which would give users a unique user experience. Maybe an addition of the dark mode feature could be a step in the right direction?

**Recommendations to others considering Cyberduck:**

Cyberduck is a leading website management and organization tool. It did not change much throughout the years because it is functional and the most trustworthy file transfer client globally. I have been using it for years, and it never failed me down.

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cyberduck is compatible with different operating systems, which is why I like this product. I can use it on a Mac or Windows and still retain all the transfer info on this software, which saves me the time to make changes on one of my websites.

  ### 23. Free and Straightforward to Use For FTP Needs

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2022

I like how it has always been free, reliable and straightforward to use, whether you're uploading files to a production server for work or managing your personal website with the media files you're hosting. Their duck mascot has always been cute too!

**What do you dislike about Cyberduck?**

There aren't many downsides to this program that comes to mind. Occasionally, I might have trouble connecting to the servers on the first try, but it usually goes through just fine.

**Recommendations to others considering Cyberduck:**

It's an excellent option that is free and easy to use if you don't want to pay for other FTP clients. It has always been reliable for me if you need to access an FTP server.

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Whenever I need to create a website or webpage, download assets from an FTP server, or test how a page with media works online, this has always been handy to have ready on my computer.

  ### 24. Cyberduck is reliable and intuitive

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Connor F. | COO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2021

**Describe the project or task Cyberduck helped with:**

We used Cyber-Duck to backup our graphics projects on the server. Or graphic designers would upload their work at the end of the work day. It was easy to understand, and they caught on in no time—a simple drag and drop storage solution for us.

**What do you like best about Cyberduck?**

The simple drag and drop, no-frills interface is clean and straightforward. Always worked without fail when you needed it to. Easy to learn and master in no time. No corrupted files or interrupted uploads on our mac machines.

**What do you dislike about Cyberduck?**

We didn't have any complaints. There was an issue of overwriting a file, but it was a user error. We didn't have too many problems when using cyber duck. We found that it worked quite well.

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a place to store our graphic design projects that didn't require constant syncing like google drive. We were able to drag and drop our projects onto the server with ease. It was swift.

  ### 25. Great for BigCommerce and Beyond

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott W. | Director of Digital Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Cyberduck?**

I originally used Cyberduck to access the WebDAV for BigCommerce, but soon began using it for all my FTP and server browsing. It is far more user friendly than Filezilla and I especially like the drag-and-drop server connection files you can use with Cyberduck.

**What do you dislike about Cyberduck?**

The worst thing seems a trifle, but when you download a file from the server, a Downloaded Files window pops up. Unfortunately, when you click the file you just downloaded from the server in that window, it doesn't open the file but rather re-downloads it. It would be much easier if that window just opened the file instead of performing the action again.

Also, nearly every time I use it, it asks me to install an update for it and MountainDuck (its sister program.) Though I'm sure the updates are necessary, it's quite annoying when you often use the program.

**Recommendations to others considering Cyberduck:**

Try it out; I think you'll change!

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

FTP access, Server browsing and file management, WebDAV access.

  ### 26. Simple, effective file manager tool with remote machines

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan M. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Cyberduck?**

The interface is intuitive, the tool is fast, and it has smart settings like 'always overwrite file with same name' which is nice.

**What do you dislike about Cyberduck?**

More automated workflows would be nice, so every time I saved a file it uploaded it to my remote machine, for example.

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Moving files from my local to a cloud-hosted machine.

  ### 27. A friend that help me to connect servers from a MAC

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Cyberduck?**

It allows me to connect, control and manage any server with SSH from a macOS device. Also, the UI is very simple for me to manage files in the server.

**What do you dislike about Cyberduck?**

In the beginning, it was not easy for me to onboard the UI and extract files from the server. The guides are not good enough.

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides a GUI for me to handle server processes with an SSH connection with a macOS device. USUALLY YOU NEED TO DO IT IN THE COMMANDLINE WHICH IS not a good option.

  ### 28. Easy to use, rarely fails

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Cyberduck?**

I like that it's easily updateable, and you can download credentials and automatically upload creds. Integrates great with S3

**What do you dislike about Cyberduck?**

number of regular updates are usually uneeded. there's not that many more features

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No major problems other than error messages can sometimes be vague.

  ### 29. Complete FTP Solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason B. | Director of Customer Engagement, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2020

**What do you like best about Cyberduck?**

Cyberduck is reasonably priced, easy to use, and has all of the functionality I need. It's a great FTP solution that can work with any major storage vendor. I manage media archiving for my company so I'm constantly uploading and downloading large video files. It has always worked with no issues.

**What do you dislike about Cyberduck?**

The interface is functional, but very utilitarian. Some users might prefer a more graphical interface. On a similar note, transfer progress is shown in a separate pop-up window, instead of in the main app screen, and can get lost behind other windows. It's a small inconvenience, but having one unified interface for functionality and updates would be nice.

**Recommendations to others considering Cyberduck:**

It's a great FTP program. The minor issues I have with the interface are not unusual - I've used other file transfer programs and they share many interface features. But Cyberduck connects to almost any cloud service you can think of, it's secure, it's updated regularly, and it has a great reputation. I wouldn't think of using anything else for FTP.

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I manage media archiving for my company. Videos, photos, audio files that need to be backed up are transferred to a secure space in the cloud, and I do that transferring with Cyberduck. I regularly move files back and forth. File transfer is always smooth and I've never had any issues.

A client application for FTP, SFTP, WebDav, Amazon S3, and Google is essential. Cyberduck is open source, so I recommend it.

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Cyberduck to connect to my servers in the Google cloud, as well as to connect to the servers of the web pages that I develop. Generally, large files cannot be transferred through hosting service interfaces and it is difficult to connect using SSH.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victor B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2020

**What do you like best about Cyberduck?**

Cyberduck is a client to connect to web servers really fast and simple. What I like the most is that it is lightweight software that can run in the background. I also like that it has a function to open the text editor from any web server file that you are viewing. Also, it also allows to open PuTTY.

**What do you dislike about Cyberduck?**

I would like the GUI to allow me to view local server folders and web server folders on a single screen, so that I can transfer files more easily.

**Recommendations to others considering Cyberduck:**

A software that allows you to connect remotely to your web server. I recommend it because it has applications for different operating systems and it is quite simple. Also, it is completely free.

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Cyberduck I can easily manage the files on our website. The biggest benefit is that we can run the text editor directly from this application. Also, to update files you only need to drag and drop them into the folders on the server.

  ### 33. A reliable and friendly tool to transfer files. That's Cyberduck

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cecilia M. | Web Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2020

**What do you like best about Cyberduck?**

It is very easy to drag and drop files between your local computer and your online storage service with Cyberduck. I like their tools for manipulating files, for example downloading, renaming, viewing file information, or creating security directory. With this software it is also possible to see the hidden files in the directories, which is a great advantage.

**What do you dislike about Cyberduck?**

I don't like the fact that updating the software clears the connection data I had stored and I have to re-enter it to connect.

**Recommendations to others considering Cyberduck:**

Free, reliable and efficient software. It hardly consumes memory resources when running and has an interactive user interface.

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Cyberduck to add, modify or delete files from our different web hosting services, such as through FTP, Dropbox or Amazon S3. This software does not imply any economic cost to our organization, since we can use it for free.

  ### 34. Cheap and best Software to manage your files

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gokul J. | Lead Web Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2020

**What do you like best about Cyberduck?**

It has a free version that supports all basic needs.
Supports multiple service providers like S3, Azure Blob, etc.,
Supported in both Mac and Windows

**What do you dislike about Cyberduck?**

User experience is a bit bad sometimes. For example, when trying to drag and drop folders, there is no specific hotspot area to drop. So will end up dropping inside another existing folder mistakenly. For images and videos, a thumbnail preview is not available.

**Recommendations to others considering Cyberduck:**

Definitely the recommended tool

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Moving and managing data is a lot easier.

  ### 35. Cyberduck is always dependable. I highly recommend it.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julia O. | Chief Button Pusher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 07, 2020

**What do you like best about Cyberduck?**

Cyberduck does everything I need it to do - access files online via ftp: viewing directories and files, transfers, deletions, edits, copy files, and I find it especially useful for mass uploads of files. I use it constantly to manage files on multiple websites. To make my life even easier, my webhost, which I use to manage multiple sites, generates a downloadable file with ftp login information. I also bookmark my most used sites in Cyberduck to further streamline usage. The Cyberduck website also provides a quick reference guide which I have found extremely helpful. Did I mention they have both a Mac and a PC version?

**What do you dislike about Cyberduck?**

I actually had to give this question some serious thought - I haven't found many downsides. Seriously. I suppose the main downside would be that the searches can seem a bit cumbersome. However, it could be that I haven't yet explored

**Recommendations to others considering Cyberduck:**

Cyberduck runs like a Swiss-made watch. And the price is right: they encourage donations of as little as $10USD for a license via the website and this program is well worth whatever you choose to pay for it, and more.

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is so much easier to use Cyberduck than to log into the hosting site, go to file manager, look for the file i need, download it for editing, etc. I haven't tried these yet, but it seems one can also access Amazon, Dropbox, Google drive and many others. This sure opens up more possibilities for my usage.

  ### 36. Cyberduck is simple, good tool for website development!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2020

**What do you like best about Cyberduck?**

It's simple to use and have both Windows and Mac version. I can edit and save files (php, css...etc.) on web server without worrying the download and upload.

**What do you dislike about Cyberduck?**

On Mac version, it disconnect my server connection when you put it idle for some time. That's not user-friendly. Though they claim there is alway-connect feature, this never work for my case.

**Recommendations to others considering Cyberduck:**

There are many free solutions like Cyberduck. You may try others first before making any decision. I Cyberduck the most because it's easy to use.

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to upload and download files to my web server via FTP. It also allows me to edit server files without managing the download and upload actions. This is greatest benefit for my case.

  ### 38. Best in business for FTP and SFTP browser

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chetan T. | CGT, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Cyberduck?**

It allows to connect to the server and edit or transfer the file easily. It has the best and simple user interface, it allows to upload multiple files at once. It has the shortcuts to download and upload files which makes it easier to use.It remembers the credentials of the list of server which we connected to, that reduces the user headache to reenter the credentials .It provides the option for user to choose the file editor the user wants to use which is best feature about this software. We can load entire project to cyberduck and view or edit the files remotely.

**What do you dislike about Cyberduck?**

It's bit slow, sometime it closes the application unexpectedly which may cause user to loose some unsaved contents.Sometimes I need to refresh to check whether my files are updated or not in cyberduck. The downloading speed is very less compared to other editors, some time it takes more time to save files.

**Recommendations to others considering Cyberduck:**

If anyone is searching for simple UI based FTP browser, then here it is cyberduck. I recommend this only for mac users for windows putty is better option compared to this.

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using to connect to different servers to edit, download, upload and to transfer files to servers.I am using it for my project development purpose.

  ### 39. Cyberduck transfers files with ease

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Cyberduck?**

Cyberduck gets the job done with minimal effort from the user. The transfer interface is easy to use. The Cyberduck software comes with basic instructions that are easy to follow for both uploads and downloads. I like that I can move files from my computer's file management system right into the Cyberduck interface to add files to the transfer queue.

**What do you dislike about Cyberduck?**

I usually get good transfer rates for both incoming and outgoing transfers, but I sometimes get slower overall transfer rates when I add multiple transfer at the same time.

**Recommendations to others considering Cyberduck:**

Use Cyberduck to make access to your web servers easier. You can perform standard transfer tasks with just a few steps.

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I get a low cost FTP client that I can use for many computers and web servers. I can set up custom configurations that are required from different web hosting accounts. I'm able to quickly retrieve files that colleagues may upload to our servers without having to go through an extensive sign-in process.

  ### 40. Good server storage browser

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prajwal P. | Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Cyberduck?**

Cyberduck is a good server storage file explorer i found on mac. Although Putty is much better than this, but unfortunately Putty is unavailable for mac. It does provide many features like connecting to various types of servers, saving the credentials and sending command line commands to the server which is very helpful for me. It also has an option to preload next level directories and files in the background which makes the browsing experience very very smooth.

**What do you dislike about Cyberduck?**

There are quite a few bugs that i found which are not yet fixed by the team, If the number of files or folders are in large numbers in a directory then Cyberduck doesn't view all the contents, it sometimes doesn't show some folders.

**Recommendations to others considering Cyberduck:**

Cyberduck is recommended only for Mac users, there are better alternatives available like putty available for windows.

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to connect to ssh servers and browse and edit the files. It has an option to open the file in a local editor of my choice, edit and save the file. Entire folders can be opened in a IDE and can be modified remotely. Since it provides an option send commands directly to server, I use it to send commands inside a docker to spawn or kill a process, expose port.

  ### 41. A very concise FTP client that gets the job done

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Norman K. | Web Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Cyberduck?**

I like the simplicity of Cyberduck the best. The user interface is very straightforward for me to connect and transfer files online. We have the capabilities to connect to just about any web server with the multiple field options and information that may be required. We can activate secure connections or open connections. I like being able to see the progress of our transfers when uploading or downloading to or from our web hosting accounts. I like that we can also transfer multiple files at once and get notified when transfers are done.

**What do you dislike about Cyberduck?**

I field that Cyberduck can integrate more drag-and-drop features or possibly have different variations to their overall file management interface. I think that the speed isn't so bad, but sometimes the transfer rates seem like they are faster using the basic file management section in our web hosting account.

**Recommendations to others considering Cyberduck:**

Cyberduck is one of the most minimal type of FTP clients and it doesn't take long to load and doesn't often crash. I would recommend using it for Mac computers as it can connect to just about any web hosting account. Using Cyberduck should be far more convenient than having to log into your web hosting account's control panel.

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cyberduck has been a smooth and light file transfer application that we can install at a low cost on our Mac computers. It allows us to stay versatile and flexible with the information that we publish to our web hosting accounts. It's great to use Cyberduck within our department since it's so straightforward and simple to use for most people we introduce it to that aren't very familiar with this type of software.

  ### 42. Cyberduck is a simple and effective FTP application

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fred H. | Content Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 02, 2019

**What do you like best about Cyberduck?**

I used to only have Cyberduck on my Mac, but I like that I can now use it for both Mac or Windows. Using Cyberduck is not hard at all. I can use right-clicking to start new transfers or use the dragging feature. Cyberduck usually loads up fast and only take up a small chunk of computer screen space. I can use it while using other applications without any issues with window overlaps.

**What do you dislike about Cyberduck?**

Cyberduck does what I need it to do, so I can't think of something that stands out to me that has been bad. All I need it to do is upload or download files and it has done exactly that so far.

**Recommendations to others considering Cyberduck:**

Cyberduck is a good solution for simple and quick file transfers that can be done in a few steps. I would suggest adding and saving connections to your Cyberduck connections manager so you don't have to enter all the hosting details each time you want to make a transfer.

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used many different FTP clients, but Cyberduck is the one that I and most of the coworkers use for our standard file transfer to our web servers. The user interface is simple and clean and the functionality is intuitive enough for even non-computer experts to use without any problems. We can update our web content and load large PDF documents, that we make available for people to download, into our hosting accounts folders.

  ### 43. Managing CDN become much more easy and efficient with CyberDuck

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hardik P. | Senior Software Developer, Computer Networking, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Cyberduck?**

One of the best thing using Cyberduck is that I just have to drop the file or any kind of resource I want to upload on cloud and then it automatically generates the CDN link for that. I can then share that link to make it accessible. Also, FTP is the option here to achieve the same functionality however Cyberduck provides better management and performance options to handle the large and complex file resources. Buying a licence version will provide more functionalities such as navigation through FTP clients and resource links.

**What do you dislike about Cyberduck?**

There are some minor issues that I believe can be solved such as UI design improvements so that It can be made much more intuitive to use for beginners.

**Recommendations to others considering Cyberduck:**

Cyberduck is a very useful tool for any organization regardless of its size which is handling CDN over the internet. It makes tasks just easy and effortless compared to handling the FTP server manually. I definitely recommend to use it in your organization.

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cisco has many CDN for providing open-source API and resources for developers throughout the world. To maintain and continuously update the content, Cyberduck and other tools we use to cope with the task. Also, Cyberduck provides way better management options as well as support for licence version, so we use it as our primary CDN management tools.

  ### 44. Cyberduck lets me quickly transfer files without much hassle

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hanna C. | Account Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2019

**What do you like best about Cyberduck?**

The design of the Cyberduck software is very basic and straightforward for me to use. I like being able to drag and drop files right into the connections with my server and see the progress as they are transferring. The file size of the Cyberduck application is quite small compared to many other applications that I use for file transfers. The pricing is also ridiculously low and allows me to constantly get updates without having to push my expenses to the brink.

**What do you dislike about Cyberduck?**

I think that there could probably be more advanced features for editing files, but I don't really have a problem with it since Cyberduck was probably designed to be simple the way that it currently is.

**Recommendations to others considering Cyberduck:**

Cyberduck is a great web hosting and file management tool if you're looking for simple functionality and fast transfer speeds. It's a great tool to use if you're not familiar with FTP clients and are just trying to do standard file transfers.

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can transfer files more easily to and from our web servers with Cyberduck compared to using our web hosting company's default file manager. There are also some JavaScript file transfer tools in our web hosting account panel, but Cyberduck is still much faster than those tools. When we transfer files, we can update our websites quickly so that they have the latest information as soon as possible.

  ### 45. Cyberduck can manage your different accounts in the cloud

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Antonio L. | Soporte Técnico, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Cyberduck?**

The best thing about Cyberduck is that it synchronizes your local disk files in your different accounts in the cloud. It has an easy-to-use interface and you can configure your accounts with a few clicks. It has the ability to organize the folders of each account without causing confusion. What I like most is that it is available for Windows and Mac platforms.

**What do you dislike about Cyberduck?**

I have had problems transferring several files from one folder to another because the program stops and closes unexpectedly, in addition, when the program closes all the accounts with which I have already logged are deleted, so I must configure them again.

**Recommendations to others considering Cyberduck:**

Cyberduck is a tool that works in Internet connections with a low bandwidth, so it is excellent news. It integrates with the best services in the cloud such as Google Drive or Box. In addition, it is available for the most important platforms. I recommend it.

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In the organization where I work, backup copies are not stored on local hard drives, absolutely everything is in the cloud, so with Cyberduck I can move files from one account to another without having to access each account to do the process. There is less internet traffic and less computer resources are used.

  ### 46. Great little FTP application for Windows 10

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas W. | CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2019

**What do you like best about Cyberduck?**

Cyberduck is a great FTP application that works well and connects quickly. I use it mainly to connect to websites that I am developing and to upload files when transferring sites from one server to another. It also is one of the better looking applications available on Windows compared to competition that may have a few more features, but look like the interface was made 15 years ago.

**What do you dislike about Cyberduck?**

There are a few times that app will open up multiple instances of itself and cause some weird bugs to occur. I haven't figured out if this is isolated to just my computer or the app actually has some bugs that need to be fixed. But, this weirdness occurs rarely and overall the app functions very well.

**Recommendations to others considering Cyberduck:**

If you start to see multiple Cyberduck windows popping up and everything locks up, just close it out and restart the app. This happens to me rarely and the only way to recover my connections is to restart the app. It usually only happens when I try to add a new Bookmark while uploading to another connection. If all else fails try updating. The developers do an amazing job of keeping the app up-to-date with new features and fixes.

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Cyberduck mainly to connect to webspaces on my servers to edit websites or transfer websites to new or live servers. The easy interface and quick connectivity has helped increase my productivity from working within the browser file manager and has helped me accomplish tasks faster with its vast compatibility.

  ### 49. Excellent FTP software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Cyberduck?**

Cyberduck is an intuitive, easy-to-use FTP program. Some FTP programs can be a little complicated and I've had some difficulty explaining and show them to less tech-savvy colleagues, but I've never had that problem with Cyberduck. It's also very fast, which is a huge help when trying to send large files to our servers.

**What do you dislike about Cyberduck?**

Really, I have no complaints with Cyberduck. I've used it hundreds of times over the years to transfer large files to our corporate servers, and it's always done a great job.

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I frequently have to transfer large video files to a play-out database that we have set up for video - I use Cyberduck to transfer those files from my hard drive to the server. Cyberduck allows me to do this without having to resort to using an in-browser solution or something else that might slow down my hard drive.

  ### 50. Cyberduck is the best FTP client ever!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Skylar B. | Skylar Brown, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2018

**What do you like best about Cyberduck?**

We at Time Travel Records love how Cyberduck lets us connect to our online webspace! Because we mainly use Mac computers, there are not many FTP client options. Cyberduck allows us to manually upload altered PHP files when Wordpress does not give us the flexible options that our site's code needs.

**What do you dislike about Cyberduck?**

We dislike how Cyberduck unexpectedly drops the connection to our FTP server at times. Fortunately, the simple fix to this problem is to restart the FTP connection. We also dislike how the donation dialogue prompt keeps on popping up.

**Recommendations to others considering Cyberduck:**

Donate to make sure that the prompt doesn't keep popping up.

**What problems is Cyberduck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cyberduck has helped us to edit our site manually on our Mac computers. We've realized the benefit of using Cyberduck, as Cyberduck allows you to upload HTML, PHP, JS, and CS files while it also allows you to edit your already-uploaded site! Cyberduck allows you to upload Configuration files, and these files are custom-made and ready to download from your GoDaddy or 1&1 website control panel! All you need to do is download the configuration file, open it with Cyberduck, and type in your FTP server password. If you forget the password, you can easily edit it on your control panel, and then immediately type it into Cyberduck. And Cyberduck will remember all of your credentials, so that you don't have to write any server names or usernames or passwords down. Cyberduck is the best!
