# Is Badger Maps worth it for route-focused reps planning daily territory coverage?

Hi G2, I've been weighing whether Badger Maps is worth it for route-focused reps planning daily territory coverage in the Field Sales category, and it tends to be, because route optimization is exactly what it is built for.

Reviewers describe lassoing accounts into a stop list, getting the most efficient drive, and fitting more calls into the same day, with visits logged against the account and synced to the CRM so there is no separate admin step. The outside-rep voice is clear throughout; it is designed for someone living in the car, not for a manager's dashboard.

The trade-offs are real ones: it is lighter on door-to-door canvassing than a turf tool, and reps mention occasional data-sync limits. For route-focused reps here, has Badger Maps paid for itself in drive time saved, and where did it fall short for you?

The rep-first design that makes Badger Maps fast day to day has a tradeoff worth naming: optimizing each rep's route individually doesn't guarantee the territory is carved up efficiently as a whole. Two reps could each have a perfectly optimized day and still be unknowingly covering overlapping accounts, or one could be driving twice the miles of another for the same call volume, since each route gets optimized in isolation rather than against a shared territory plan. A tool built entirely around the rep in the car, not the manager's dashboard, is honest about what it's for, but it also means individual-day efficiency and territory-level efficiency can genuinely diverge even when every single rep's route looks great on its own.
