Question on: HubSpot Marketing Hub
How would you recommend learning the small amount of HTML required to make small, finicky formatting changes when the visual composer isn't letting you? e.g align text in tablesHi Maximilian,
The fastest & easiest answer, have a HubSpot developer on a basic retainer so you can focus on other things. Having an expert you can reach out to to take care of these minor things will save you time in the long run (it is surprising how fast a "quick change" can add up when you are using trial and error to fix your issues vs handing it over to an expert).
The answer you are likely looking for is training + trial and error combined with Google. Unless you have been trained to use it, HTML & CSS can send you chasing your tail if you don't know where to look and how to look at what is dictating what. There are tons of resources out there that will teach you basic HTML & CSS that you can use in your efforts.
Even with training, a good place to start is inspecting the page when looking at a preview of the page your are working on. That will give you a starting point on what stylesheets are firing and ruling what is displayed.
Also, be patient with the system. Changing stylesheets can often take a few minutes once changes are published, especially if you are making several updates.
Hope that helps!
D'Ana

Question on: HubSpot Marketing Hub
Can I connect hubspot with google analytics?Hi Victoria,
There's a great article on how to connect Google Analytics to HubSpot: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/cos-general/add-your-google-analytics-code-to-your-hubspot-pages-or-blog
You will need a Google Tracking ID first.
BUT, there's a downside with Google Analytics if you have your website has GDPR activated. Google released an new algorithm in NOV 2019 that will only track your user if they opt in to accepting cookies (GDPR requirement) on your site. My Google Analytics numbers dropped after November and didn't show a true representation of my numbers.
I now do all my reporting with the HubSpot Analytics tools. I sometimes will check Google Analytics for a few things.
