This is an excellent topic as creating a world-class candidate experience allows technology like this to scale across every organization. While creating the best software experience is the primary objective, there are other ways to improve the candidates trust and willingness to complete any assessment (this applies to more than just video interviews). Such as the following: - A clear CTA in the invitation subject line that excites and communicates clearly to the candidate - A descriptive invite that emphasizes what they are being asked to do, why they are being asked to do it, what benefits they are getting from it, and explicit steps of what to do next. - Decreasing the time between when a candidate applies and when they are invited to complete an assessment. The most excited a candidate is about an opportunity is the moment they apply. - Engaging with candidates through their preferred communication channel (email, text messaging, LinkedIn) - Creating a sense of urgency by giving the candidates a time window to complete the assessment. - Leveraging social proof explaining how other candidates have benefited from the process in the past. With each of these ideas, the single most important thing you can do is know your audience and invite them to the edge of their comfort zone, but not push them out of it.
