Hello G2 users. I've been comparing notes on Social Media Analytics Software for something I'm putting together on what enterprise teams pick versus what gets recommended to everyone else. Enterprise buying is its own thing, more stakeholders, security review, integration with the rest of the martech stack, so the tools that top a small business list don't always show up here. I filtered reviews to enterprise users to see what's actually sticking.
- Sprout Social (4.4 stars, 6,875 reviews): still the most reviewed by a wide margin, enterprise reviewers point to its reporting depth and how easy it is to hand dashboards to execs.
- Hootsuite (4.3 stars, 7,447 reviews): shows up constantly for teams managing a lot of brands or regions at once, though a few enterprise reviewers mention needing add ons for deeper analytics.
- SOCi (4.5 stars, 4,679 reviews): keeps coming up specifically from multi-location and franchise brands, less relevant if you're a single location brand.
- Sprinklr Insights (4.3 stars, 105 reviews): fewer reviews overall, but the ones that exist are larger orgs using it alongside the rest of the Sprinklr suite for listening and reporting together.
- Emplifi (4.4 stars, 382 reviews): enterprise reviewers mention it for combining social data with customer experience metrics, not just posting analytics.
Sprout and Hootsuite dominate on review volume, but SOCi and Sprinklr Insights get picked for pretty different reasons once you filter to enterprise. If you're on an enterprise team, did the analytics itself drive your choice, or did something else on the platform end up mattering more? And has anyone actually moved off one of the bigger names once they hit enterprise scale?
My sense is that at enterprise scale, something else usually ends up mattering more than the analytics itself, whether that's how well a platform fits into an existing martech stack, or how much stakeholder buy-in it already has from teams already running on it. SOCi and Sprinklr Insights seem to earn their spot less on raw analytics power and more on fitting a specific structural need, franchise-level reporting for one, suite integration for the other. As for moving off a bigger name, I'd guess it happens more when a specific structural gap shows up, like multi-location reporting, than because the core analytics stopped being good enough.
