Recap of Dreamforce 2022: Innovation and Sustainability
Innovation and sustainability were two major themes at the annual Salesforce event, Dreamforce 2022. Industry conferences typically see the host company promoting its brand by handing out company swag to attendees. Dreamforce 2022 opted instead to focus on Salesforce's sustainability efforts by announcing plans to plant trees for each attendee as part of the company goal to plant one trillion trees by 2030 and provide donations to local public schools. In addition, the company that has helped fuel the CRM Software category announced updates and innovations to its product offerings, including Slack, Salesforce Sales Cloud Unlimited, and of course, Salesforce Genie.

Question on: CONQUER
Why does the system sometimes glitch when multiple tabs are opened?
In my job, I am an outbound dialer so it is important to have multiple tabs opened at all times. Sometimes, with DialSource, the dialer stops working if I have too many tabs opened. Is there a way to make note of this as a glitch and work towards resolving it at some point in the future. Also, sometimes my side DialSource tab disappears and I'm not entirely sure why. It makes it hard to dial out, track calls, and make notes.

Hey Nick. Great question. When you have too many Salesforce tabs open, your computer and browser can reach full capacity. At that point, any dynamic elements within the application (like Denali) will have trouble functioning a peak performance. One thing I can recommend is a Console App within Salesforce, keeping your open SFDC objects all within one browser tab. This can help reduce load. However, at a point, too many open tabs will likely lead to performance degradation. Feel free to let us know if you'd like to connect for more info!

How do you filter out internal emails from groove insights?
In our org, we have utilized the Groove feature to add specific domains in the ADMIN setting to "ignore", meaning and emails that are sent or received from xxxx@domain.com are ignored for most of Groove's functionality – like tracking (open etc.) and syncing (into CRM/SF) or dashboard insights/ analytics.

Question on: Clari
What opp stages do other folks use? We don't have a pre defined
Hey Adam - appreciate you reaching out. There are many standard sales processes you can mold yours off of. Consider using this list below as a template to elaborate on.
Prospecting
Qualification
Needs Analysis
Value Proposition
Id. Decision Makers
Perception Analysis
Proposal/Price Quote
Negotiation/Review
Closed Won
Closed Lost
These standard stages rarely reflect companies’ specific sales cycles though, so it will be best start a process to map out your sales process. SalesForce recommends avoiding ambiguous stage titles, and we couldn't agree more. Your sales managers should clearly see the difference between opportunity stages and understand when to pick a certain stage.
Next, it's important to define entry and exit criteria for each stage and then to begin to rethink the "Probability %" field in SalesForce so it's more than just a number
If you'd like to learn more about how Clari thinks about sales stages and their importance in defining and owning your sales cycle - reach out to me at pminasian@clari.com
